Christ, cant wait for bonfire like, will be like an opera house...Exactly.I'm all for fans making the most of these terrific games but my concerns are twofold:1) Safety of the people in the vicinity of the flare and 2) the possible consequences for our club. Ashton Kate
Yeah spot on with that one!! Cant believe they got it in to the ground in the first place with all the security after the turnstiles anyway.I blame the sniffer dogs they did'nt sniff that one out did they. CityCiderEd
I was a couple a rows in front of it. It was awesome, and just made us going even more mental. Charlton must have thought we were nuts.and i bet a few of their fans wish they could generate an atmosphere like us. It was an eye opener, we played mint football, and fans were QUALITY. Charlton didnt make a sound.
garlicbread
Exactly.I'm all for fans making the most of these terrific games but my concerns are twofold:1) Safety of the people in the vicinity of the flare and 2) the possible consequences for our club.Yes and both point are completely arbitrary because1) Nobody within the vicinity of the flare was hurt2) There are no consequences for our clubIt was a one off and a bit of harmless fun
BristolCity1992
Just out of interest how many of those that are so against it were there last night? I remember when it happened years ago just seemed to add to the tension I thought it was the Rovers game but could be wrong. I enjoyed it though curse me. rossjonesuk
I'm with the 'it looked awesome' brigade... would have been better if it was held onto rather than thrown but it looks good abroad when crowds are lit up with flares and the smoke pouring across the stand. we_are_sunderland
Credit to the City fan who threw the firework. Totally harmless, a great throw and a big show of intent to the Charlton fans. No problem at all. If you had a problem with it - you weren't fuknig there!Don't post on here a lot but that is so out of order, how can throwing a flare be harmless??? WessexPest
a big show of intent to the Charlton fans. I'm only hoping this was a drunken, rambling, middle-of-the-night piece of nonsense.

BristolCity1992
Ok so as long as it is not thrown is that ok? I agree throwing it might have been going a bit to far but I still think it is a good different thing to see and does add to the atmosphere. bartolona
If people want to throw flares i suggest they go to Westbrom,Watford or Stoke.
Alex_BCFC
The point isn't that someone didn't get hit last night- it is that they could do if something like that is thrown in the future. Whilst I agree it would look good, it just isn't the wisest thing to do when it is quite clearly banned over here.

Dan Of The Dolman
If you go on a certain video site there are videos of Cardiff fans throwing flares at opposistion supporters yet nothing has been said about that which is worse. I only hope they don't have them when we play there or it could get even nastier.
