I was there, terrible, he got away apparently.

I didnt see it all but i saw the bloke tryin to throw punches at someone, then it all kicked off.

Then there were more people gettin involved and it just got worse until a policeman came and the main person i think got away.

The policing was terrible too.

I hope all the idiots get caught, they were disgraceful.

Bloody disgusting is all I can say.

It happened about 6 rows behind me, and although I didnt see what kicked it off, I did witness 2 or 3 children (who cant have been older than 5 or 6) looking scared stiff and in tears, and other people trying to climb over seats because it looked like any minute about 20 or 30 people were going to come crashing down on top of them over the seats.

To fight amongst ourselves is disgraceful, the stewards took far too long to get there, and then there were only 2 or 3 when they did turn up, for a good 5 minutes before any proper stewarding/police presence arrived.

How a more serious accident didnt occur I don't know, because the amount of pushing and shoving going on could easily have led to people falling over seats.

I hope those involved are proud of themselves, it went on for about the last 10 minutes of the game, and the players must have noticed due to the amount of people involved and also the majority of City fans turning round to look what was going on. I just hope nobody innocent got hurt and that the crying children got out safely.

i was in itchen north and saw security and police converhe and this hooligan throwing punches, even the saints fans near me, not the pillocks on the edge of u lot, found it horrifying. a fight in our on fans.

on that note i fond the behavior of both sets of fans in that corner distrbing, even before the game kicked off the saints fans were insulting us with the usual chants and the usual retorts in front of kids many not many over 13, and a few rows in front of me 2 blokes wer not even watching the game just trying to pick a fight all game. lucky i didnt stand out or i probabaly wouldnt be writing this the way some of them were going.

i don't think I'm going to sit near away fans again

The fighting between fans was a utter disgrace Near me there was a lad of 18 or 19 throwing coins at opposing fans. Then as we left St.Marys, fans were looking for Saints fans to take out there frustration on. Days like today make you realize how many idiotic thugs there are around. I swear these guys in front of me didn't once watch 5minuites of the game instead were more content on starting on others including sterwards.

NO PLACE IN FOOTBALL FOR THESE THUGS! :bruce_h4h:

What disgraceful scenes i witnessed today. Fighting between our own fans, drunken yobs who should not have even been let in the ground. I had a drunk sat next to me and he could hardly sit up, then when the trouble kicked off, over he went to get involved. Why did it take so long for the stewards and police to get there. A friend of mine was sat directly behind the idiots who were fighting with his two young children who were crying and very scared, so no doubt would of put them off going to watch a game again. I just hope these idiots have been caught, they have let Bristol City Football Club down badly.

All in all, not a good day. Poor on the pitch, disgraceful off it. I don't mean all the City fans, just a chosen few.

Happened about 8 seats to my right. What started it was a difference of opinion about standing up. A dad (and possibly a mate) started remonstrating with people in front to sit down because their kids couldn't see. It was just before their second goal and some guys at the front of the stand were doing a stellar effort to get 3,200 City fans to sing.

The blokes in front had a verbal pop back. The dad and his mate didn't back off, one of the blokes in front started swinging. Chaos. The dad falls back and lands on one of his sons. It all kicks off. Stewards and a police take an age to get there despite many City fans trying to call them over. Some of us are trying to calm it down and stop others joining in. Stewards and police arrive. Off it goes again. City fans starting to pitch into the lad who was being cited as the one who started it and calling for the police just to get him out.

I'm now exiting stage left because my 11 year old son is with me and sure enough the police and stewards bring the lad out that way, and this is the sad part, still stopping other Cty fans from getting at him. Just before we got out the dad left with his boys, tears streaming down their faces.

There is no excuse for this. It just shouldn't happen. I'm not condoning any of the behaviour. If the dad is reading this I would ask him why he didn't back off when it started to get heated? As soon as it kicked off my first thought was for my son. My lad was visibly shaken, his first experience of up close football violence. Us older heads are used to it unfortunately, but we forget the impact it has on kids.

You know, the sad thing is, if we were winning, this probably wouldn't have happened.

I would like to thank the moron responsible for this personally as he ruined my 7 year olds day completely and probably frightening him away from any more games.

It was his persistent standing and goading of the fans around him who were being too quiet for his liking that started it off with the guy behind him. I was 2 rows behind him and had to cover my son to protect him as it kicked off. One 4 year old in front had the pleasure of having his dad pinned down on top of him when an unconnected fan came from the left and pulled him back as he tried to protect his son. There were tears all round.

I had got my son down to the concourse as the stewards (about 6 of them) escorted the lout out of the ground. From what I saw the stewards let him go outside just as the old bill arrived downstairs to nick him - they were not pleased that he had been let go.

Not a highlight of the season by a long way - oh and the score didn't help either.

I just hope my son will come to football with me again sometime soon.

CTID.

I was sat within block 45, and all around us was groups of 'young uns trying to act hard and provoke the Saints fans - when all they ended up doing was annoying the true fans by standing up and blocking peoples views..

I was sat behind one elderly guy who had a young un (who'd blatantly been drinking) constantly standing up, yet when asked to sit down he though a tantrum and all his mates sat around him nearly kicked off onto the innocent guy.

This was the first time I'd been sat amongst my own fans and felt intimidated by them and not the opposition.

Saint's fans must have been laughing watching us argue amongst ourselves.

When the 2nd goal went in - we left before anything else happened.

This all kicked off just to the left of me between block 45 and 46, row HH. Some t£$t in a green and white stripped jumper was told to sit down by the people behind him. He turned around and told the bloke behind him to sit down........he replied with, I'm only stood up because you are stood up and I cant see whats going on. Then a push and a shove and it all kicked off. The bloke in the green and white stripped jumper was an absolute idiot. I had a young woman in tears trying to climb over me out of the way. I saw a young child pinned down by what looked like his dad, I saw a 7-8 year old scared for his life as these idiots all fell over around him.

I'm not sure if he got arrested/thrown out the ground but about 8 seats all emptied when the police and officials turned up.

What annoyed me about this was that about 8 people who were all stood up in the stairway all piled down and joined in.

On that note, the Police and Saints Officials did a stunning job in sorting out who did what, and getting rid of the trouble makers. They could have made a meal out of it because it all spilled over into the stairway, but they didnt, so thank you to them for sorting it out quickly.

I was embarrased today, not because of the result, but because of these idiots who fight amongst themselves. If any of you are reading this (I doubt it because you looked to dumb to be able to use a computer) you are stupid, dumb, should be banned.

I hated today.

I was two rows in front with my 11 year old brother.

When it kicked off I told him to move further along the row so he wasn't near it but then idiots from the the next block along came crashing into our row to try and get to the fight at which point we moved down to the bottom of the stand with an older lady that I go with so we were away from it all.

In all honesty they showed more fight than they did on the pitch all afternoon. Not that I am defending these idiots of course just a brief point.

Eh?

Perhaps the passion should have gone to someones head and led them to do you in with a lead pipe..

Passion has nothing to do with acting like a c0ck.
