Love the comment on the BBC article about one fan saying ‘there’s been a football ground here for 100 years, you moved here’

Well no, it was a rugby ground for 75 years.. also you didn’t give two ***** about it when it was going to be bulldozed for a sainsburys did you.   You giant wankpuffin.

I sometimes think that I should be mellowing and becoming less riled by them, but then you see moronic comments and attitudes like that and I realised my loathing for them and desire to see them wound up and dissolved gets increased…….

  2. Mrs M has finally got her mails back, seemed to be a bit of a shambles, although I have been with Virgin since they were TV West or whatever it was called back then and whilst they are a nightmare to deal with, the supply of the service (TV/Broadband) is pretty good.

The guy who supplied the diesel gennys was sat right in front of me when he told me.  Maybe the gennys used for the festival infrastructure were all running HVO, but there were definitely gennys on site that weren’t.

I’ve no doubt the intention is for it all to be green, the cowshed at the farm is all solar powered and when the design was put in, it was the tweaked and moved the building round 9° to get maximum solar power.

  4. I met a guy who has worked at setting up Glastonbury for years, told me he can get tickets, so he is straight into my contact list ?

He did take great delight in telling me about the huge diesel generator powering the Green peace stand.  Also the BBC took delivery of 20 electric Range Rovers, 20 so they could charge 10 whilst having 10 available, bringing in generators to charge them.  The ridiculous point about that is that the diesel generators had no emissions control systems, so the Beeb would have been better getting Euro 6 diesel Range Rovers.

The mad thing is that if it weren't for Red Bull and Verstappen, it would likely be an all-time great season. The fight behind Max is really interesting.

The technical catching up (or not in the case of some) of the cars is making this an interesting season, McLaren have obviously found a big chunk of performance, Aston Martin are losing some ground, Mercedes seem to make a step forwards then a step back, then a third of a step forwards again, I think to assess Mercedes real progress a view over several races is necessary.

I also thought  I heard them say on Sky, that this weekends attendance at Silverstone is the highest ever.

if you are using any emails for confidential messages I would recommend signing up for proton mail, you get 1 email address a certain amount of free storage it is fully encrypted.  They have paid for tiers as well, but i have never found the need and use it purely for confidential email, which doesn't exactly get filled up quickly.

Any other general emails which you don't really care if they get compromised then use anything out there, they will all leach your they are all pretty much the same. if you happen to use a lot of google products go with Gmail I guess. I wouldn't trust any of the big vendors with confidential messages though.

    Anyway that's my twopenneth

Interesting, thanks.  Looked them up and found this review

https://restoreprivacy.com/email/reviews/protonmail/#:~:text=Proton Mail utilizes strong end,(more on this later).

Which also links to other secure providers, so I’ll have to have a read through them and see what looks best.

  7. One of my accounts, all mails gone, Mrs M still hasn’t got her emails and yes, they are a nightmare to deal with, but generally for al” the t years I’ve been with them the actual service of TV and Broadband has been pretty good.

I’ve had an issue with a brand new Samsung Fridge Freezer, they are even worse to deal with than Virgin!!!!

  8. Any Bemny/Southville blokes of a similar age may remember the Glaswegian barmaid in the Hen and Chicken, I would say around 85-87- her name may have been Ang, but I wouldn’t bet my house on it.

Her favourite phrase was “Why don’t you f**k off and die” whenever I think of the Gas she comes back to me and I think how appropriate her phrase is to my feelings for the gas.

  9. Anyone else having issues with it, bloody hopeless service recently.  All of Mrs Maesknoll’s historic emails have gone and I am once again without emails being delivered today.

Who is a decent email provider if I decide to move to another?

    Morning Chaps/Chapesses,

Long time no speak. Thought I’d drop in to see what was happening, bit quiet in the world of BRFC isn’t it?

I’m officially done with this club now and consider myself an ex-supporter. Done with the constant bullshit from the Merseyside Mafia and every decision that’s made being further and further away from the club I grew to love, that used to be a genuine family club (stop laughing).

Barton can do what he likes for all I care now, the reaction from a lot of fans shows me they deserve him and his band of merry *****.

Rivalry aside I hope you’re all keeping well, and if anyone can help change my profile name from ‘Fordingbridge Pirate’ to ‘Former Pirate’…!

    Much love,

    FP

Happy to help convert lost souls……

Friday and Saturday headliners weren't great maybe, but Reg more than deserves this slot and Glastonbury is so so much more than the headliners.

He’s doing better than I expected and as you say, it’s much more than the headliners, I guess I’m a bit stuck in my ways with music, but always find someone new to explore more from Glastonbury, tonight it’s Cat Burns, never heard of her before.

If he did have any, he never told me.  Feary was City through and through and would have done anything he could to help the club. He was offered a place on the board at one time and I know he found it really tough turning it down, but with the existing commitments he had, he wouldn't be able to give his all to the role.

Definitely remember plenty of advertising from him around the Gate back then.

I agree about the Netflix series...it's very good. But as you say, makes the competition look more competitive than it is.

I find it astonishing that F1 gets 1.54 billion people watching it still.

Sadly F1 is all about technical development.

Do fans really care about that?

They'd rather have more limits on cars, and down to driver ability rather than who's developed the best car. It's always been that way though. However imo... we are too reliant on tech.

Ask any of the drivers, and they always say Kart racing was their most enjoyable days...as it's more pure.

This fan cares about technical development, it’s my main interest in the sport.
