  1. Terrible interview, had to laugh when they said he was only going to talk about the youth cup! The plea to the fans he made….well why didn’t you listen to the fans and read the room re Nigel, we didn’t need to sack a very good manager and his respected coaching staff, we are regressing and as expected yesterday has papered over the cracks. Most interesting thing said was likely a striker from aboard in summer.

Nah, reckon he’ll go back-3, wingbacks and two-10s.

    (not that I would though)

So boring @Davefevs, like SOD era all over again.

Still needs to be let go imo. Sad but true.  Doesn’t suit a Manning style. Would he sign him if he wasn’t already here? Not a chance.

I’d get rid of Williams, hasn’t shown enough and there are better options for the wages he commands.

I wonder if the death of football is:

“I only buy a season ticket now to meet my mates and for the social”

    🤦🏻

There are literally 5 million things to do that are far less torturous than shelling out ££££’s a season to socialise and watch that drivel.

Saw a bit of it on Robin’s TV. Instead enjoyed a great day with wife and kids in capital and kept thinking how much money I’ve saved from not travelling to Bristol and the rest. Little motivation to go to other games now, football is so bad. First time also that I’ve not been to Ipswich away, had no motivation albeit a relatively easy journey. Manning has sucked the enthusiasm out of me.

There is something (and potentially nothing) that was notable in Liams pre match presser. The number of times he said “Brian”.

Those of us who have worked in office environments know in meetings that staff under pressure tend to reference their superiors a lot. It’s a way of tying their fortunes to their bosses, and trying to spread the blame/ make it more difficult to them to be dismissed.

I’m not saying he will be sacked. But the “tells” in interviews mean I wouldn’t rule it out, irrespective of today’s result. Steve L also being in attendance at a half empty AG won’t also have helped his case.

The bottom line is that if Tinnion sacks him this season he can retain some credibility (wye aye, we saw it wasn’t working and wanted to act quickly) but a sacking in October finishes him as well.

I think for all those reasons it may be closer than you think and beatings by both WBA and Leicester may well lead to the trigger being pulled.

Seeing Tinnion’s interview made me feel we’ve gone back many many years. Very depressing, he is running this club.

Booing ; I hate it , but don't disagree with you. The first half was a dog with flea's
Players; It may not be his players, but he wasn't brought in to rebuild, he was brought in to get the best out of them.
Totally agree we seem to be going backwards with the players, the most worrying thing is how the fitness seems to have dropped off since Manning has been in charge,
Injuries; Yep , can't be helped. But it's his choice to play half fit players , or have players on the bench that are clearly unfit.
As for the crowd, I do think that 12:30 on a Mothering Sunday was a ridiculous time for a game.
The result was everything, and yet you almost feel disappointed as I can't see this getting better under Manning.

I remember losing at home to Reading and being relieved as Holden was clearly going to go. Not sure that would have happened today had we lost but would have put pressure on Manning. Feels really low under him, he’s knocked the positivity from the club which Nige had built.

Yes, TGH didn’t get into the game for 65 mins.  Looks like he’s lacking a bit of confidence, and not wanting to get on the half-turn to receive, instead is going “safe n straight”.

With Twine fit surely play Knight further back alongside Williams.

Because nothing screams "toxic" more than a lunchtime Sunday kick off at Ashton Gate. Maybe someone will shout a rude word at Lansdown?

Not exactly La Bombonera, is it?

So many happy clappers at AG, we are no better than Fulham fans. I can’t work out if section82 are happy clappers or not. Surely they need to get things going.

Saw his career, a 3rd division midfielder who like to ping a long ball to the flank,

Then stabbed Wilson in the back to get the managers job

    Rightly sacked

Came back to the club stabbed various people in the back to get promoted to finally settling Pearson in the back to bring in manning

The man has tainted any legacy he had at this club

Hes not a legend either which I see trotted out regularly like thats an excuse for him being promoted way beyond his capabilities.

He was a good player for us, but also lacked ambition you could argue, comfortable in local area, nice place to play football, same as nice comfy job in playing retirement. This is part of the problem Nige was trying to sort, remember him saying what a strange club we were. Forest Green wanted him and that is the level.

    I won't be getting one!

I never understand this. Warnock is brilliant, it’s not like we’ve ever been exciting to watch in recent years, had he got the job over LJ we would have been in PL by now, I strongly believe it. Look what he did at Cardiff on much less than LJ spent.

Anyone who signs Dave Partridge, Marcus Stewart and Michael Bridges in the same window shouldn’t be in charge of transfers

You missed out some other dreadful signings too which nearly sent us to League Two if it wasn’t for GJ rescue act.

The air of a man that thinks he knows more than all of us and we are mere observers.

    An over-complicator and over-thinking analyser.

Does not look at league tables, does not listen to fans, does not show emotion or passion.

Strikes me as a type that has almost forgotten that football is about scoring more goals than the other team and may be happy with a series of 1-0 defeats for eternity as long as “principles, behaviours, passages of play, and press-points” were adhered to in line with his coaching ethos.

Coming across as pretty unrelatable and in complete conflict to what our club needed and needs right now.

Unreal mis-read by our shambles of a hierarchy.

Owners again fail to learn from past mistakes. Whole club is a mess structure wise when Nige did so much to get us on track. Manning out.

LJ was similar but fans gave him space because of the ex player link. Manning has no history or connection with the fans and majority didn’t want him appointed so interviews like this don’t help, he’s not coming across well at all and if we feel that way, what about the players? He needs to go, he is not the answer.

After watching this interview I've fully come to the conclusion that Manning will not leave unless BT also leaves.

My concern after watching that interview is that BT is clearly acting in the role of what's best for Brisn Tinnion, not Bristol City. Having a technical director who puts himself first is just incredibly worrying.

The root cause to the problem without a shadow of a doubt.

  14. They won’t sack Manning, we could lose every game and go down and they will keep him in L1.

HEY BRIAN, just a reminder that you sacked a manager a week after we were 7th in an injury crisis

What else did we expect from him, his appointment so will back it all the way and keep influencing the owners. Shambles all around really.

Yes, I’ve heard he’s usurped the u21 coaches at half-time in the past.

Had heard similar, not being funny but if it was someone with a good track record like a Nige or Warnock you would respect that…..what the heck has he achieved apart from a 7.1 defeat at Swansea?
