  1. I emailed Jerry the other day having not had my rewards goods turn up after 3 months and the club were ignoring my emails. Not the most important thing going on I’m sure. But within 20 minutes I’d had a response from Jerry and the club
  2. If we win comfortably at the Oval it will feel a travesty not getting our hands on the urn. I haven’t looked back at each day but it certainly feels like we’ve already won as many if not more days than them. A win next week and it’s a draw, we’ve drawn the ashes, I don’t care where the urn is.
  3. I do regularly hire cars in France, as well as living there for eleven years, if you have any other questions. Just don’t have any kids.
  4. I don’t know the answer but car hire companies will advise and usually have child seats available.
  5. It wouldn’t have taken a huge swing in fortunes for us to be going into Thursday 4-0 up, I’m not saying that’s what we deserve but the first two rests we’re certainly winnable right up until late in the match. Best we can hope for now is a 2-2.
  6. TBF to 442 it’s not an easy task, especially when you do it weeks before the season starts. Anyone who’s done this will know how difficult it is and we all get a few howlers when we have a look at the end of the season. I don’t think their last season effort looks too horrendous. Having said that they’ve placed us 8 places too low this time and one or two others look a bit off the mark. We’ll see.
  7. Can’t believe the golf down the road has only had a few spots and little wind.
  8. In a hundred meter sprint that’s acting like a kite and adding on a second or two
  9. It’s the flattest Saturday crowd at a test match I can remember. Oh for a wicket to heat things up
  10. Yes same here and a similar amount of grounds. Also I know the pain of trying to arrange games when you live away, from my 11 years living in Southern France. There were a number of unused plane and train tickets where Sky had changed a game and I was on a tight schedule.
  11. Ah, they just said Woakes wasn’t on the field at end of play so couldn’t bowl
  12. I wouldn’t be starting with Jimmy, please, please prove me wrong but…
  13. Both teams have been ignored so far so they might take the opportunity to kill 2 birds…
  14. He can get his commentary duties in between his batting duties.
  15. I know its probably a lot to ask nowadays but a fully fit Wood and Archer for 5 tests would have been nice
  16. I hope he has a field day out there but if he doesn't we could be seeing the last moments of Jimmy Anderson in a test match today. Also hopefully the forecast isn't as bad as it looks but.....
  17. To be fair the last time there was a declaration argument most of us did
  18. But the draw has been part of cricket for 150 years. As i say, extending test cricket is absolutely the last thing those in charge are about to do. Lets celebrate the fact we've still git 5 day cricket...... for now
  19. Well lets not let the forecast get in the way of the fact we've just scored 592 in an Ashes match. Brilliant.
  20. Declare with him on 99. That's Bazball
  21. To make a decision like that in test cricket would be huge and have to be implemented in every test not just Ashes matches. With today's schedules it's never going to happen, if anything they'll go to 4 days. Nice idea but absolutely no chance of it happening
  22. Mad! Root and Robinson creaming it everywhere- declare Jimmy at great danger of injury in good bowling conditions- stay out there
  23. Nooooooooo, don’t send Jimmy in, what’s the point?
  24. Yeah they’re not even clearing the ropes here, just go big or get out. These conditions could be made for a Jimmy swansong.
  25. I posted that before realising I’d paused the Mark Taylor interview to get some lunch and was still running 5 minutes behind. Damned rain
