Crikey it’s a quick outfield. I guess we’ll see a lot of short stuff when the Aussies bowl.

Was it Boycott who rather than give up his own wicket would let his partner get run out?
Boycott would happily run his own mother out to save himself.

But you have to weigh that against the strong possibility that Smith would've hung around for longer. You can't double count imo. I.e. assume that if we'd got Head then Smith would have gone at the same time he did.
Yeah I know what you mean, like in football when we miss a sitter but then score a couple minutes later, that wouldn’t have been 2 goals.
But as Nasser Hussein will tell you after watching Graeme Smith get a double century after dropping him for not many, we can guess what Steve Smith may have done but we know for sure exactly what Head has scored that he wouldn’t have if Bairstow had caught him. Hopefully not many…..

England need fielding practice from Somerset who have been superb this year.

I'll take Smith instead - a bigger wicket!
Oh yeah so would I but that’s not how it works. Head was dropped and is still there batting………hopefully for not much longer

In fairness, neither has really cost us as we've picked up a wicket shortly after.
Depends what Head goes on to get

We’ll never know for sure what difference Foakes would have had on the results but it’s something that clearly needs looking at now.

Great morning, could have been better but we’ll take it

Smith looks sure he’s not out

But he is!

Oh dear, it’s not been Bairstow’s series so far has it.

I have been in and out a bit but I haven’t heard KP or Ponting yet. I know Mark Butcher has been called up.

Ok I’m torn between using him sparingly to keep him fit or have him bowl every over from both ends. Just brilliant from Wood.

Great to see Woody back. Probably the quickest bowler I’ve seen at Taunton in the last 10 years.
Just hope he can hit the ground running and stay fit.
Well he’s not slowed down like everyone else seems to have. 96mph!!

Not that i'm one of the worriers on here, but I spent half an hour googling Android wallet automatic updates (How to) yesterday and in the end gave up.
Yeah all I could see was in Wallet settings there’s a Updates about your passes button, I’ve made sure that’s on.

You only add it once, its there for the season now.

Oh right, I wasn’t concentrating when I read the FAQs, I thought we had to do it before every game. Ta.

See my reply above. You'll be able to forward it to somebody else.
But we don’t know yet if you have to do that before you’ve added it to your wallet or if you’ve already added it it’s too late.

Why does everything I’ve liked in sport for the last 50 years have to be taken away from me? Cricket is going through the same thing.
A lot of lower league clubs have got through difficult times and staved off going bust by profiting from lucrative replays.
Also following your team at FA cup away days is special, a break from the league which might not be going well. Midweek games will stop that for many

That was easy but…..now it’s in my wallet does that mean I can’t transfer it?
A message did come up before I added it to my wallet that said it can only be sent to one Gmail acc wallet.
Just wonder in future if I couldn’t go at short notice maybe it’s best not to send to wallet until you’re sure I’m going.

I must say this looks very easy and better than other clubs that have digital tickets, some of them I’ve seen are just bar codes that last the season, so for instance if you lent it to someone by screenshot they could use it all season if they got to the ground before you…….and didn’t like you for some reason.
This is going to make it so much easier for me living in Devon to give my ticket to friends on occasions I can’t go. Or come to think of it, easier for everyone as you no longer have to meet up with the person to give your card and then again to collect it after.

One thing for me, Ollie Robinson's average test bowling speed is 80.5 mph, wasn't C.Overton called too slow at 82 mph ish?
Is it just me or has Robinson slowed down this series?
I’m sure he was quite rapid last year

I can’t help but notice how happy Nahki Wells looks, not just these latest but all recent videos like this.
He really looks like he’s loving life. When he arrived he could sometimes give the impression he didn’t want to be here.

Well Marsh is playing Bazball, strike rate of a 100, in fact the team run rate is a very healthy 4.54 now
