I emailed Jerry the other day having not had my rewards goods turn up after 3 months and the club were ignoring my emails. Not the most important thing going on I’m sure.
But within 20 minutes I’d had a response from Jerry and the club

If we win comfortably at the Oval it will feel a travesty not getting our hands on the urn.
I haven’t looked back at each day but it certainly feels like we’ve already won as many if not more days than them.
A win next week and it’s a draw, we’ve drawn the ashes, I don’t care where the urn is.

I do regularly hire cars in France, as well as living there for eleven years, if you have any other questions. Just don’t have any kids.

I don’t know the answer but car hire companies will advise and usually have child seats available.

It wouldn’t have taken a huge swing in fortunes for us to be going into Thursday 4-0 up, I’m not saying that’s what we deserve but the first two rests we’re certainly winnable right up until late in the match.
Best we can hope for now is a 2-2.

TBF to 442 it’s not an easy task, especially when you do it weeks before the season starts. Anyone who’s done this will know how difficult it is and we all get a few howlers when we have a look at the end of the season.
I don’t think their last season effort looks too horrendous.
Having said that they’ve placed us 8 places too low this time and one or two others look a bit off the mark. We’ll see.

Can’t believe the golf down the road has only had a few spots and little wind.

It’s the flattest Saturday crowd at a test match I can remember.
Oh for a wicket to heat things up

That's why I have booked a Friday flight and a late Sunday return.
The cost of following BCFC isn't a nice one!
I could've paid off a country's national debt by now if I counted up the money spent on 74 away league ground visits (some more than once), season tickets and merchandise from the shop and my 1 x BCFC 1982 share....which I used to mention when asked on certain form filling.
Yes same here and a similar amount of grounds.
Also I know the pain of trying to arrange games when you live away, from my 11 years living in Southern France. There were a number of unused plane and train tickets where Sky had changed a game and I was on a tight schedule.

I wouldn’t be starting with Jimmy, please, please prove me wrong but…
Ah, they just said Woakes wasn’t on the field at end of play so couldn’t bowl

I've already booked my flight for the Stoke game on September 30th. Here's hoping that won't be moved
Both teams have been ignored so far so they might take the opportunity to kill 2 birds…

I know its probably a lot to ask nowadays but a fully fit Wood and Archer for 5 tests would have been nice
-
I hope he has a field day out there but if he doesn't we could be seeing the last moments of Jimmy Anderson in a test match today.
Also hopefully the forecast isn't as bad as it looks but.....

Is funny how people think they know better than the England coach or captain.
To be fair the last time there was a declaration argument most of us did

I think the schedules should prioritise getting a result from test matches rather than letting the weather win!
But the draw has been part of cricket for 150 years.
As i say, extending test cricket is absolutely the last thing those in charge are about to do.
Lets celebrate the fact we've still git 5 day cricket...... for now

Well lets not let the forecast get in the way of the fact we've just scored 592 in an Ashes match. Brilliant.

Declare with him on 99. That's Bazball

I still want someone to argue against this!
To make a decision like that in test cricket would be huge and have to be implemented in every test not just Ashes matches.
With today's schedules it's never going to happen, if anything they'll go to 4 days.
Nice idea but absolutely no chance of it happening

You stole my thunder! Spot on.
This is utterly pointless and only serves to take more time out of the game.

Mad! Root and Robinson creaming it everywhere- declare
Jimmy at great danger of injury in good bowling conditions- stay out there
-
Nooooooooo, don’t send Jimmy in, what’s the point?
-
Yeah they’re not even clearing the ropes here, just go big or get out. These conditions could be made for a Jimmy swansong.

They said they were out of stock of the shorts i ordered, offered a pair in medium which aren't much good to me but he said they'd send them anyway plus he'd look for something else to send to make up for it.
So I'll see what appears and when.
