Game over when James Rew got out I think.

Yeah it’s tough on him to keep for 50 overs then ask him to get yet another ton.

I’m pretty sure he would prefer to bat first, he’s spent a lot of time in the middle this summer and still only 19.

Sounds like a good time to remind everyone how **** the hundred is.

Yeah I really try and get into the - this is great for the youngsters to get there chance- but it’s just shit and pretty meaningless really.

Heads have certainly dropped in the Somerset bowling attack and some of the bowling has been dreadful. So I’m not sure what that’s doing for their development, maybe they’ll learn something from this but I don’t know.

Has to be said, Pritvhi Shaw against Somerset seconds was always likely to end up with this outcome.

True, as far as temporary signings go he’s in a different league to Curtis Campher that’s for sure.

But there, I don’t think we were in much danger of winning this competition and a great signing for Northamptonshire who’ve only lost a couples of players.

People trying to predict the Championship after 23 games is foolhardy, after 1 is plainly ridiculous. :)

If you’re a gambler this is exactly what you do, predicting who’ll finish in the top or top 4 if you do each way of every league can be very profitable…..but a gamble it certainly is.

I don’t agree with others on here about Plymouth, they’ve made some very good signings and I think they’ll be fine this season. In fact I think all 3 promoted clubs will be fine.

  5. My pre season optimism, 4 days ago, has taken a rapid dive not felt since the Coppell fiasco.

The difference is this time I’m confident it’ll climb again soon. Though If we lose tomorrow v Oxford and Pearson walks out it may tumble again

Yes, clearly popular but as someone who doesn’t drink coffee and or have a sweet tooth definitely not my kind of pre match meal.

Did you ask Mick what to do with Cornick?

No it was a very brief interaction, where I quickly told him I could remember his headed goal from the edge of the box of the Eastend/ South stand against Exeter.

I got the feeling it wasn’t a goal that would be top in his memories of the 582 goals, many in the top flight and 2 for England.

Even I was questioning if it was v Exeter and was it as far out as I remember. But I do remember he was a shining beacon in what was the darkest days in our history.

Harford even, ps don't call him Hartford ffs .

Noooo, I definitely corrected it to Harford after it auto corrected and put a t in it. I even googled to double check I was right. Now it turns out it didn’t correct.

  9. Negatives, we could have done without playing a team like Preston first up, it’s always a scrap against them and Millwall which we may have been better prepared for later on.

Positives, that’s them out of the way, who’s next?

  10. A nice read, It did lack information and stories on our current squad but I’m sure that’ll come. I did enjoy reading about Brian Clark even though he was before my time. Also liked the U21’s and Women’s player profile pictures.

All in all I liked it, probably not enough to spend £4 on every game but I’ll certainly get it every now and again.

  11. Shout out to my nearest team, Buckland Athletic who beat Torpoint 5-1.

Also to Paulton Rovers. The chap sat next to me on the way up to a Bristol was a ground hopper. He lives on Dartmoor, doesn’t drive but has still managed to visit 480 grounds and today was a new one for him, Paulton Rovers.

It was already his 17th game of the season.

  12. I was in the Lansdown, about 10 meters from the Garland family, and everyone seemed to be clapping but it is true it didn’t last long.

As others have said we’d paid a great tribute to a great player already, not sure of the point of that one.
