  1. 116-112 Usyk Fair play, a true great.
  2. Dreadful scorecards again. With the ko, Hrgovic by 4 rounds according to two judges? Shocking.
  3. Great scrap and lovely finish from Mundo. Have loved watching him over the years, feels like he should've had a much bigger career than he has. Artur next?
  4. 11pm? Why oh why. Apart from anything that's 1am local time. Gonna have to give Kalle a call
  5. I just hope that if AJ does win that he gets the respect he deserves for a great sporting comeback, given how one-sided the first fight was. It's going to be one hell of a turnaround if he manages it. As others have said, I can't believe he'll be as passive as last time, so should be an exciting fight.
  6. Please make it stop. Obviously thinking of two different words beginning with L was beyond him.
  7. Credit to Millwall, who had 1 shot on target, but managed to score two goals.
  8. Palace target Bristol City’s Antoine Semenyo to boost striking options | Transfer window | The Guardian
  9. No disrespect to Conway, but Semenyo is a physical beast capable of bullying defenders out of games, can hit the ball powerfully and score with both feet, has genuine pace, can hold the ball up, and can cross the ball making him last season's top creator (assists) for us by a mile. The truth regards Semenyo is that he is irreplaceable. To begin to try and replace him, you'd be looking to sign at least two players to try and cover the many different assets he brings to the team.
  10. Which you absolutely love to see ?
  11. The Glazers put commercial success over on-field success, and it's shown ever since they've owned the club. You can't be successful on the pitch when the vision from the top is all wrong. They can appoint as many great managers and sign as many great players as they like, but they won't be successful, as has proven over the past decade.
  12. Yep, just watching his post-match interview, and he looks lost already. He won't be there long. Feel for United fans to an extent, they fought the BSkyB takeover successfully back in the 90s. I think no-one realised how bad the Glazers would be until it was too late. They should be organising mass protests/direct action now though. They gave it a little go last season over the Super League stuff, but need to up the ante now.
  13. Wenger hails hot prospect Emmanuel-Thomas - Independent.ie The Arsenal manager believes the teenager from Forest Gate - who started out as a centre-back - has it all, and with the right dedication, can reach the very top of the game. "Jay is knocking very hard on my door - with two hands. He has outstanding quality," Wenger told Arsenal TV Online. "He works very hard to get his fitness right. When his fitness is right, Jay will be not only a good player, but a great player. "One thing is for sure - he can score goals. That is a massive talent you cannot give to people, his right foot, left foot, he is unbelievable in front of goal. "This guy is an unbelievable finisher, inside and outside of the box. "He has outstanding qualities, he has the build you dream to have. "It is down to how far he wants to go because he has big potential."
  14. True. But gonna be an absolute brawl in fairness. Looking fwd to it. Whether I pay for it, or not ?
  15. Will Smeed, just the 101 from 49 balls ?
  16. Funny isn't it, you look at the headline figure of £170m spent in a single decade, the stadium redevelopment and the HPC, and you assume that all along the aim must have been to reach the Premier League. Then you consider we settled for Academy Cat 2 status, when we could have gone for Cat 1 (outside of FFP spending too), and look at the managerial appointments - particularly Millen and Holden, and we can argue about a few of the others - the lack of any football direction off-field, and the self-sabotage of the summer transfer window of 2015, and think, was the aim really & truly to reach the Premier League? I have never been convinced it was, and still am not. If it had have happened then I think it would have been more by luck (2008) than design. It will be very interesting to see, when all is said and done and the Lansdown's depart, how much of a "loss" they really will have made on the club (including the real estate), if any.
  17. SL has put in around £170m in the past 10 years and not achieved a single season of Premier League football. No other club has spent that much and failed to get to the Prem, and many clubs have got there spending far less. In the 2020/21 season, which we started under Holden, we had the seventh highest wage bill in the Championship. Supporter expectation has always been pretty reasonable, SL ultimately just hasn't delivered.
