  1. We're only 6 points better off than Cardiff, who are 21st. Think we all need to calm down a touch, still very early days!
  2. Why, out of interest? Because they'd want a bigger name? There was a Leicester fan on 606 last Saturday, who'd been at our game at Blackpool. He said he wanted Pearson back, and ever since then, the more I've been thinking about it, the more it worries me that it could happen. I agree, unlikely. However, I think it would also make a lot of sense for your owners assuming Pearson keeps us up in the top 4/5 of the division and you guys continue to struggle. As I say, an outside chance, but much stranger things have happened in football. Pearson has made some "interesting" career choices over the years too.
  3. Bit concerned about our defence against their frontline, particularly Brereton Diaz, Dack and Hirst. Do well to keep a clean sheet today, I reckon.
  4. No easy games in this division, however we should definitely not be fearing Blackburn. They've lost 3 of their last 4 games including two 3-0 drubbings to Sheff U and Reading, scoring just one goal in the process (against Blackpool on Wednesday). Plus we have a very good recent record at Ewood Park. Fairly inexperienced/unproven manager too.
  5. I was told Lez/Londoner was someone called Simon. Interestingly they were originally from the South East, and Lez has a south east accent. The plot thickens...
  6. Apparently they get on pretty well. Know each other from their Newcastle days
  7. Not listened to this week's yet, but agree that Lez talks a lot of sense normally. No idea who he is but seems to have decent knowledge, and measured opinions.
  8. Foakes was excellent with a ton and seven dismissals. Jimmy having one of his best summers aged 40 is quite incredible. Going by his post-match interview, no intention of retiring anytime soon either.
  9. There were definitely some at El Rincon at the bar last Sunday.
  10. Also, it's now three wins in our last 20 away games.
  11. 18s now! 210 feels like a very healthy lead.
  12. Hope our recruitment team have Anis Mehmeti of Wycombe on their "long list", at the very least. Looks a very good prospect to me.
  13. Absolute plum draw that. Great chance to get to R4 and play one of the big boys
  14. Yep, everyone has their good and bad days. It is interesting that you don't afford Joshua the same relief that you give Fury, given he has: 1) Been banned for doping; 2) Homophobic comments; 3) Anti-semitic comments; and 4) Sexist comments. Difficult to see how, given the above, Fury can be considered a "good guy".
  15. Not been myself but this place is supposed to be good https://hhbristol.com/ It's replaced Severnshed and Jay Rayner from The Guardian gave it a v good review recently. Menu seems pub food style.
  16. Daft thing to say. The bloke's had 12 world title fights on the spin. See above. AJ has had plenty of "risky" fights. Most people had Usyk winning this rematch, but AJ and Hearn still took it, knowing it was very high risk. Certain other boxers/promoters don't take risks like that. Could've quite easily given AJ an easier opponent as a warm-up. Really? I think he still sells out arenas like the O2 in London and Manchester, no problem. As @TomF says, an all-British dust-up against say Whyte probably even still fills a stadium.
  17. They aren't Welsh though. Half of them have English parents. Most Cardiff I know have English accents. Swansea are Welsh, Cardiff ain't.
  18. Yep, Cardiff were loud for first 20 or so, goal went in and nothing from them, including the last 15 when they were chasing the win. Very poor. They are a weird lot. Also, how many actual Welsh flags in that away end today? I counted three. I'm more Welsh than those *******. Confused lot.
  19. Tyson "I'm a spartan, it's never been about the money, I could live on £10k a year, I've spent loads of money and it isn't for me" Fury ??
