  1. Dutch media and supporters have been some of the more outspoken regards Qatar.
  2. Crowds aren't looking great. 45k for the Eng game in a 68k capacity ground and Senegal v Netherlands looks half full in a stadium of 40k.
  3. Lack of consistency of VAR decisions is going to have a huge impact on this tournament, unless they sort it out quickly. Tight knock-out games will just become a VAR lottery.
  4. Bellingham has all the attributes to go and be England's greatest ever midfielder.
  5. Yeah, was very very good tbf. Definitely worthy of the star. Some seriously good dishes. If you like red meat especially, though there were some excellent veggie and seafood too. I would upload some pics but they'll all 4mb which is too big in size it seems. @TomF? Not yet. But I know the Aussie Chef Mark, who was head chef at Gambas. Very good chef, so I'm sure it's excellent. Will visit soon, menu looks great. Edit: forgot to say, a mate went and confirmed it was excellent.
  6. Just off to the bookies to stick money on Qatar world cup winners
  7. Off to Paco Tapas tonight. Anyone been recently ?
  8. We won't breach FFP. Whilst I agree it looks bad, we are far from the only C'ship club in this position. Be plenty of other clubs releasing horror-show accounts for this financial year.
  9. We're still losing £500k a week and total losses now stand at an eye-watering £198m.
  10. Yes, because Plymouth decided Lowe would be their manager and then waited several days to appoint him. Utter BS.
  11. L1 and L2 aren't stopping. Full set of fixtures this Saturday, then FA Cup second round next weekend.
  12. Not a CV that suggests his next job will be in non-league, which was my point.
  13. Gotta love football fans. Hibs were third a fortnight ago, and above Hearts (which is pretty much all Hibs fans care about) and now the bloke isn't even good enough to manage a crap National League club.
  14. Former Northern Ireland youth star Mark Sykes opens up on Republic of Ireland switch - Belfast Live
  15. Here you go.... was actually quite funny
  16. All three of those clubs have played in the Premier League though. If we're seriously down to comparing Lansdown with a crook like Morris, then I think that just further illustrates my point.
  17. £214m spent and not a single season of Premier League football makes him pound-for-pound the worst owner in terms of footballing success in the entire football league. No-one else has spent more and achieved so little. But sure "Mr Bristol City" "club legend" etc Do me a favour.
  18. Tomori is having an average season and was a shambles in the two CL games against Chelsea. At fault for a goal at Stamford Bridge then got an early bath in the second leg whilst giving away a penalty in the process.
  19. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they made it to the Premier League before us. Well run, and flying at the moment. I dunno. Rovers got relegated out of the football league despite having one of the highest wage bills in L2. I can't recall us ever failing that spectacularly. They've spent a lot of time in the past 20 years in L2, which despite their shite facilities, is underachievement for a club with L1 support and investment.
  20. I'm sure there was an article on this in the Guardian a few years back and the general conclusion was Bristol probably is the biggest underachieving city in European football.
  21. Just left the ground. An absolute mess of a performance. Team selection, tactics, style of play, attitude - all simply unacceptable. And with us heading for the bottom three by close of play Saturday, it is not an anomaly. A lot of our fans are sleepwalking at the moment. I'm afraid Nigel and the players are underperforming badly and with a month break and January (where we are likely to lose personnel and players) on it's way, it's likely things are going to get worse before they get better.
  22. Very sad. Was due to see them for the first time this month in Bath, but obviously they cancelled the tour a while back due to Mimi's ongoing treatment. Such an awesome band still producing great music so late in their careers.
