  1. I was on about actually moving the kick off of the match, rather than whether it could be streamed or not. As a point on that though - don't games moved from 3pm, for non-TV reasons, still 'count' as 3pm games, so can't be shown. I've always thought that was the case.
  2. You may be correct - but I would be very surprised if it was as simple as that... Presumably the league also has to agree, otherwise it would happen far more often, no?
  3. Well, Weigman as an example, took two separate nations who had never previously got close to winning titles, to European titles and then World Cup finals. Yes it's the women's game rather than the men's and I appreciate there are differences. But fundamentally she has proved to be a good coach, decision maker in regards to selections, tactics, etc. Skills that no one could argue are not transferrable. Do I think she would be worthy of the England men's national team position currently? No, probably not. However to dismiss her purely for not having managed in the men's game is a bit narrow minded I think. My point was there are manager's that get jobs consistently in the men's game at reasonably high levels, who are proven failures with none of the pedigree these two have.
  4. Wiegman and Hayes would be far better choices than some of the managers currently in the men's game at a pretty high level.
  5. Andy Smith (footballer, born 1980) - Wikipedia I always say this is the worst 'footballer' I ever saw play for the club. He tried, though, in fact he tried really hard. He was just rubbish. Not sure what's worse.
  6. It is a penalty - or should be - no dispute... However - in the days before VAR, you'd never get that, and I don't think people would be too up in arms about it.
  7. Made a separate thread but looks likes it'll get buried pretty quick and no interest yet, but... I have two tickets for today available if anyone's still able to make it!
  8. Late in the day I know, but I've had two drop outs this morning for Millwall. Adult tickets x2 available. Ideally would get what I paid for them back but if anyone's able to make it we can discuss, don't want them to go to waste! Cheers
  9. I think it's quite measured - they're not supposed to support anyone.
  10. It wasn't a reality check. We drew with a decent championship side. Reset your expectations to a reasonable level and you'll see that a draw with Preston is not a reality check.
  11. Anyone blaming the referee needs to give themselves a shake. Draw was fair.
  12. People are calling these guys morons. You're the moron if you watch/listen to their content.
  13. Would be great to see him somewhere close to his best again. Seems a long way off, and less important than his health, but wish him the best.
  14. I'm pretty sure they mixed up numbers 11 and 22 - I was there, and to my eyes... Yeboah started and scored, Edwards came on as a sub. I may be wrong, but that's what we concluded. I think a correction was given to the announcers middle of the first half too as they had corrected themselves by half time...
  15. Anyone with Twitter access found a video of the free kick the Bath fella scored? Was there last night but not seen a video anywhere. Amazing strike from a long way out.
  16. Decent half, some meaty challenges considering it's a friendly City technically a lot better than Bath, who have only threatened from set pieces where they're physically taller and have Lines on deliveries who's obviously a decent player despite playing for the Gas. Could be more than 2. Their goalkeeper seems to be havin' a 'mare! Several clearances charged down and scuffed a backpass that really should have been a third goal. Yeboah goal was a quality finish, and Francois megged the keeper.
  17. Bryan's not happening - just Pring/Roberts. That is the plan.
  18. All the odds are way too short. I think we are too short at 40/1 to win the league - this isn't promotion it's winning the league... But everyone's way too short. 80/1 Rotherham even, in reality them winning the league would be an absolute miracle, hundreds if not thousands to 1. However, what I guess you can take from it is that we are seen as roughly in the same ballpark as Plymouth... Which seems harsh. Overall - odds look dreadful on basically everyone (as they will be from a bookie this early with loads of margin added) so keep your money.
  19. Does Derrick Williams like the show?
  20. Don't follow German football closely enough - but given Mainz don't really have anything to play for - and, everyone hates Bayern...? Surely a chance they are not overly 'motivated' when the game comes?
  21. I mean I do agree thinking about it now - but, I'd have said the same about Bournemouth and they are safe. Depends who they recruit. I was browsing the Coventry squad last night, it is remarkable how well they've done with such unheralded players. 36 year old Kyle McFadzean, even a 33 year old Liam Kelly!
