  1. I don't think it will. At the clubs with the highest demand for away tickets, the allocations are sold out, almost always. Demand could reduce and they'd still sell out. The next level down, fans who go, go because attending a match is simply a much better experience than watching on TV at home. I think people, especially those who don't go themselves, underestimate how much fans enjoy going to away games, the whole day experience. I reckon if you look back at games we've had on TV, it's actually home match going fans who are less inclined to travel and more inclined to watch on TV. So home attendances are more affected.
  2. Not a fan of our 11 then? Maxy, Tanney, Roby, Vyney, Pringy, Kaly, Matty, Joey, Scotty, Sykesy, Naky Tommy Conway kinda breaks the system... Drat
  3. 'In their prime' it must be Owen or Rooney - it's just a shame their prime was so short lived (relative to others) Their primes were probably when they were 18!
  4. I think that era ended a long time ago; A bit like the Simpsons, new episodes created for many years too long!
  5. Seems ambitious for him to be in the conversation for next summer, don't think that's realistic, given the established talent in similar areas and reluctance (seemingly) for Gareth to deviate too much from what he knows. However, it's a big compliment to him to be talked about in that sort of sphere.
  6. The difference though, and what probably sticks in people's minds, is that Williams has three or four very short unsuccessful passes there in the middle of the pitch. Looks like pretty much all bar one of James' unsuccessful passes were longer balls. But anyway, they were obviously effective as I don't really remember Hull having anything through the middle all game tbh. Maybe one very poor Estupinan shot from about 25 yards, but that was it.
  7. Good win for @Cov 77 today against Sunderland to be fair
  8. I have to agree Williams was frustrating. Good positions to intercept and win the ball but his passing left a lot to be desired.
  9. No members of the team there, just Liam. I googled their staff trying to figure out who the other two were but can't find them, so I am wondering if it might be friends from his time in Bristol. He only seemed to have one pint and was gone by 7:45 so as I say, suspect he was in the Marriott and just had a quick outing away from the hotel.
  10. Liam Rosenior was having a pint and talking tactics with his two head coaches in the Greenhouse on Park Street at about 7:30 tonight. They must be staying at the Marriott. Boozing before the game... Must be nervous.
  11. What about if we go... "AHHHHHHH" afterwards at the top of our voices, and compete ferociously to see who can do it the longest?
  12. Composting? great for the environment
  13. @Robbored - thoughts? Can imagine you'll be singing this one on Saturday.
  14. Dubrovnik is a rather lovely Croatian City.
  15. The highlight of Diony's time was coming off the bench at home to Sunderland with a 3-0 lead "to get him a goal and some confidence". Lost the second half 0-3. ?
  16. "Reckons we always get behind the team" Doesn't know us very well does he.
  17. I think he was just watching to see what would play out and whether he could allow an advantage. He never signals for advantage, he's watching Scott and Wood, so he's not actually playing an advantage, he wants to, but he's watching the incident still to see as he can tell something's going on with those two. Your point about it becoming a separate incident unfortunately isn't how it works. For example, if you're offside (not not flagged), score a goal, and then someone, for the sake of this let say, punches you in the face... With VAR, according to the rules, the correct way to resolve that is - offside, no goal, freekick to the opposition. Violent conduct, red card. It still resolves in the order of play, you can't supersede a previous infringement with another one - UNLESS it's the same team committing the infringements, like a foul which starts outside the box but continues into it, for example, which is then a penalty. We might not like it and it wasn't clear at the time from the stands, but it's been correctly refereed, unfortunately. Agree with you, I was confused for a bit sat in the stand at the time. I am speaking with hindsight watching it back.
  18. The referee is watching them - Scott clearly fouls Wood, but then gets shoved over. The referee never looks away from the incident and it all happens in about 5 seconds. Then he blows up. It's quite clear what is given, and it's the correct decision too, on both counts.
  19. Scott fouls Wood immediately before the play is stopped, and Wood is booked for his reaction in the little scuffle afterwards. That one makes perfect sense and nothing to grumble about. BBC highlights show it quite clearly. I was a little confused at the game but it's fine in hindsight. Should have had at least 1 of the others though.
  20. 11 in 65 matches in the Championship. A fair few of which will be sub appearances and also lots at wing-back and other positions he would not be favouring. He's also playing in a pretty bad team let's remember, and was 18/19 years old. It's actually a pretty good record. Chelsea signed Chukwuemeka for 20m... Senior goals and assists? 1 assist. If you don't think he's worth £15m or more than I would suggest you haven't been watching him play. Which is not unusual for people on here with the loudest voices.
  21. Our track record of signing creative and goal scoring midfielders is so fantastic I back us to the hilt to find a better player for a fraction of the price! ?
  22. It is miles off the truth. Baker loved playing, you could see that in the emotion he showed on the pitch when he said goodbye to the fans this year, and in his fully committed performances. Sometimes payer's bodies let them down, it's as simple as that. Kalas is not milking it, and neither was Baker, at any stage.
