  1. No one would be happy if he was appointed here though would they - in fact, everyone was livid when he was. Can totally see why Charlton fans would be incredibly underwhelmed.
  2. Best odds you can find; Rovers promotion - 40/1 City relegation - 11/2 Combined odds therefore roughly 265/1 or 0.4% But - these odds will have bookmakers margin built in which is probably a decent percentage off the true probability. It's probably more like 1 in 4 to 5 hundred I'd say. Very unlikely.
  3. Glad to see opinions on here being based on 18 minutes of champions league football.
  4. Not just you - I was thinking the same... The decor is similar too with the tributes to players on the walls etc. I would be very surprised if the same companies didn't work on both stadiums.
  5. Whoever was responsible for that thread a few years back about farting in the Dolman Stand must be delighted to know this.
  6. The ranking are a very rough guide - but you have to apply 'reasonable' sense to them. So for example; Brazil, Switzerland, Serbia, Cameroon. Who would you rather play? Wales, USA, Iran or Serbia? Serbia are the lowest ranked - but you can't seriously tell me you'd rather play them than the others. Their recent competitive results are excellent. Switzerland are obviously a lot better than anyone else in our group. Another group contains Spain, Germany and Japan - Japan who no one would argue are worse than Iran, other than world rankings! Common sense would tell you England do not have the hardest group. It's probably not as easy as people thought it was when it was drawn out, as the teams in it have done well obviously and boosted their ranking, but it's certainly not the hardest.
  7. The whole idea of a 'cool' list is ridiculous to be fair. It's very subjective. I've never heard of any of them apart from the footballers and Stephen Merchant. None of those people are 'cool' to me, and I'm sure I wouldn't be to those who wrote the list. Also - most of them I imagine don't live in and maybe even aren't truly from Bristol. Imagine doing journalism training for years to end up writing such utter drivel. Christ...
  8. I think that would be a prime example of a decision that is too ambiguous within the current rules. I don't think not giving, or giving a penalty there could be said to be right or wrong. I'm happy they didn't give it - but I bet as a training exercise if you had a room full of professional referees, there would be a pretty even split of those that think it's a penalty, and those which don't.
  9. Casa-Grande At least he can go home to his massive house if he makes an error.
  10. A very good Palace player... Proved that already last season. Now he's getting his first proper chance at an elite club. He is 22 years old. I'm not surprised he isn't an elite footballer yet. He has shown signs he could become one though. Patience.
  11. Fortunately the England scouting team will have judged him based on more than a few snippets from TV...
  12. It was a joke trying to deflect rumours in newspapers. He obviously underestimated the reaction. He's deleted it.
  13. No club accepts relegation after 8 matches when they are only 2 points from safety. Ridiculous thing to say.
  14. Legally - the club is probably covered by terms no one ever reads when you purchase your ticket. They know a lot of games get moved for TV and other reasons, they'll have a stipulation somewhere that covers them. I imagine it would be up to the clubs to make their own rules if it was to happen. As you say though, you'd like to think they'd consider that...
  15. I would disagree - what are you basing that on? It's too simple to say that without any data. If kickoff was at 4am, it wouldn't suit far more people than it would suit. Someone would have to run the numbers to answer that - which maybe they have but maybe they haven't. Perhaps that part of what they want to trial. I could see it having quite a big impact on away attendance for games where the travel time is 2.5+ hours.
  16. Bajic was listed online as having a wrist injury and being out until late September. Odd. Must have just recovered?
  17. If he gets injured on internation duty I'm Ghana be livid.
  18. Don't recall him making any against Cardiff. However, he has made a few for sure. Overly keen to impress early on perhaps.
  19. You are making it a bigger deal than it is though, and I feel like you know that. Blackpool and Sunderland, we were also losing. So is that 2 points gained or 4 points dropped? You're choosing the latter.
  20. Loosely translates this post says: When we're bad I don't really care. When we're OK/good I have a moan about little things. Is that 'support'?
  21. At some point in the game? Sunderland obviously we didn't score first
  22. They have; Here There's a few links at the top to different 'types' of clothes with more stuff in them as part of the Hummel collection. 'lifestyle', 'kits', etc.
  23. Despite my comment about the price, I ordered a couple of T-shirts and they've already arrived, so that's pretty good. They look good, I think it's a job well done this. Good gear. Only comment as a point for others, the sizes are quite big. I am a 42R in a jacket for example - and I bought a large - I'd say it's more of an 'oversized' tee look. 'American' sizing perhaps. Don't mind that style though, rather big than tight. Good stuff.
  24. £40 for tracksuit shorts is a bit spenny mind! Is decent gear though.
