  1. You'd assume he's a temporary appointment and won't be there next season regardless of the outcome...?
  2. Harsh replies. Hope you and Marie enjoy the match, @Stoke Gifford Red76 Although I would branch out from Wetherspoons if it's top quality food you're after...
  3. In a way, I guess. Think he was preparing to make the most of contact that he was anticipating, and it never came and he was off balance. I've seen worse dives, this one to me was worse on the part of the official than the player.
  4. So easy to do as well... Those who design the laws of the game could eradicate this sort of thing almost immediately if they wanted to... Not sure why they don't really.
  5. To be fair - he doesn't even really appeal, it's just a truly awful refereeing decision. I think he was anticipating contact that never came, lost balance and went over and even he didn't expect a penalty.
  6. Maybe it's nostalgia taking over... but I'd have voted for Marvin Elliott were he to be on the list.
  7. So you're no longer Ralph in Devon. I feel so misled.
  8. Could you recommend me a good tin hat shop?
  9. They'll probably be lucky that there are some really poor and out of form sides below them
  10. Is it worth it? I'll trust your opinion...
  11. Advocating for him to get a new contract but adding this strange to me. Genuinely interested - why aren't you a fan? I find it difficult to understand why anyone wouldn't be, so curious.
  12. What is the context you're trying to add? Looks a decent record to me - given our current squad availability and expectations.
  13. Provable nonsense which gets trotted out every thread, by you, mostly Brentford and Fulham have had the most overturned decisions in their favour this season (net +5) A selected few others; Tottenham -3, Man City -3, Chelsea -1, Arsenal -1, Man United 0. You must have other studies to back up your regular, repeated claims of bias?
  14. I don't think so. It was nothing. Mountain out of a molehill.
  15. If attitudes have really changed, it'll die out anyway. You've stopped singing it, plenty of agreement on here., who presumably also have. Some will still do it, and some will join in, but it'll get less and less, and eventually stop. We've seen it with other chants.
  16. 15-16 prem - 13th, FA Cup Semi Final 16-17 prem - 17th 17-18 prem - 14th 18-19 prem - 11th, FA Cup Final 19-20 prem - 19th (relegated) 20-21 Champ - 2nd promoted 21-22 Prem - 19th (relegated) So to answer your question... 5 seasons the first time? Two good cup runs, some great results. I am sure the fans enjoyed the ride. I think you're suffering from a short memory, personally.
  17. It's up to them how they manage their club. They've been in the top flight a lot more recently than any other time in their history really (about equivalent to the 80s). So - to be honest, you'd probably have to say it works for them. Don't see why this makes them 'a joke' Managers know what the owners are like, they agree to do the job. They probably know it won't last and enjoy the money.
  18. Another thread detailed by Robbored. However, I think it's important to say that the information in this original post is so far from the truth of the incident, that it may as well be entirely false. Also, what did happen, happened a long time ago. I assume the OP was misled rather than malicious, but Kerem Demirbay is quite a well respected footballer now who played for the German national team since this incident. He made some ill judged comments towards a female official, but he almost immediately apologised after the match personally to the official involved, and carried out his duty of refereeing a junior women's game without incident. The latter part of the OP is entirely false. It has nothing to do with his race or religion. He made a mistake, and accepted his error and punishment.
  19. Poor decisions, yes. "To keep the 'elite' elite" - conspiracy theory.
  20. Didn't realise there were so many conspiracy theorists on OTIB.
  21. Replace Potter with Tuchel and I agree with this post
  22. Webster would have to be first choice, fit and available at his club first... He hasn't always been all those things the last two seasons. Only 16 starts last season and 18 this in the league. He'll be some way down the pecking order. Notably, as the poster before says, behind Lewis Dunk I am sure.
  23. Teams often complain about pitches when they lose, especially unexpectedly, and away from home. Some Man City people mentioned it after player us I believe. But... Does that mean it's actually an advantage for us? ? I guess it depends somewhat on style of play.
