Good luck clutching at that straw
Anyway, it was a lovely day and great to see so many ex players such as Tom Ritchie there, cheering on The Gas
Glad you enjoyed it.
My Gas mate, Mike Offer who passed away 4 years ago at 72 would have been watching from heaven and I am pleased for him plus my friend Kevin who is a ST holder at the Mem.
My uncle supported City and Rovers all his life as well.
Only hope we make the Prem and you do a few years after....................what great local derbies I could be watching sat on a cloud with them all !!

When JB took over they were near the bottom and he said he would take them up ….I said at the time that if he did I’d eat my car … …anyone got a knife n fork?
As much as it pains me to say it …well done to him and the horse punchers .
This might help

Why? Because those of us Bristolians who are in our eighth decade remember a time when you could support both Bristol teams whilst favouring one of the two.
I remember, as a City fan for over 70 years, I got an enormous thrill seeing Rovers come back from 3-0 down at half time to Leeds, in old Division 2, to draw 3-3 at Eastville. I remember going to cheer Rovers on, Divison 3, against Everton, in Division 1, in FA Cup at Goodison.
show respect everyone for a great achievement for one of the city’s clubs.
People who on here say they ‘hate’ Rovers, or worse, just take a moment to see how silly you look. I know what John Atyeo would have thought of you!
I look to a time, or rather dream of a time, when Bristol provide both city clubs in a European Final
Same here, City for 60 + years well done Gas, its not a war we fight, its bloody football

Not renewing. Heart just not in it after 60 plus years. Perhaps I may regret it. Will always follow City but just a chore going to the Gate, parking, etc then watching overpaid players under perform and constant garbage from the mouths of owners who are so transparent when things not going so well.

Sorry to say that as a supporter since 1958, all I needed today was for my mate, 4 years older than me, and a ST holder like me for decades, to say he wasn't going after cataract surgery, and I would not go. I feel I have been lied to as a supporter ( and my mate and I with our business sponsored the club in the 70's) and that years of bad management have contributed to where we are now. I love BCFC but am not renewing my ST as a message HAS to be sent to the management that supporters have had enough. Sorry guys, I have had enough and will watch local grass roots football next season as I LOVE the beautiful ( not at AG !) game.

Sheffield Wednesday are definitely a bigger club than Sheffield United. I'm certain that Burnley fans won't take kindly to Blackburn being the biggest club in what remains of Lancashire, and Preston may take umbrage too.
Thats why I supported them from 1965 onwards when we moved North, even had to paint my red and white rattle......blue and white

RIP Fellow Red. Far too young.

Well I've made up my mind, I'll sit where I want , I've paid for my seat,if the regulars don't like it tough, roll on Saturday
Just make sure they all got red and white on and you'll be OK. Mate of mine once got on Coach 1 and they had blue and white quarters on. We still miss him and talk of him with fondness.

OMG! Sorry miss read the title and thought it said "Buffoon in Bristol"
Thought Boris was heading this way....
Apparently he is coming to the local Derby next saturday, got it wrong and thought it was The Derby. Doesnt know his Eton from his Epsom. Bit salty that.

This season because of fears of replays and Covid.
Thanks Dave, didnt see this anywhere but happy with our second half attacking play, very promising

Jesus, since when do 1st cup matches go to ET or have I missed something !! Watched on hesgoal ( no commentary) and at 90+ 5 logged out at FT. I know I am getting old but went and had a kip and just got up to the fact ET was played. Not sorry for missing up and we lost ( now concentrate on the league, our Annual statement ) but when did this ET in first game come in. Genuinely interested.

Blame the ref, blame King, blame whatever you want but we are still LOSING these matches in 90+ minutes. This is the real sad fact. They equalised in first half extra time and won in full time extra time. Not for the first time and will it be the last, I doubt it.

Paying players too much to come here, if the South West in general and Bristol in particular is such a sh!t hole that we have to offer players over the odds to come here then **** um, forget the Premier League dream, buy promising players from lower leagues, take the hit of relegation and begin the ten year cycle again.
its what we do best !!!

Hi there , still around but sadly not renewed as working up the airport now ( at 71 !) and only saw 5 games last season.
My first was in 1958 v Leyton Orient when dad had made a small wooden stool for me and I stood with my back to the cowshed ( now the Dolman) Hence my name !!
