Well, after following and supporting this club ( I was a sponsor in the 70's) for over 60 years, I can honestly say as I have said for years that Lansdown is a bl**dy estate agent and not a man who wants (his !) football team to play top flight football. I sadly gave up my ST two years ago , still watch for the results and am sick to the pit of my stomach that NP has been sacked. I wont rant on, I will leave this to younger supporters who have to continue after the likes of me and my era, all I can say is you may have built a palace Mr Lansdown, but keep selling the family silver, and no good will come of it.

The sort of game that the players need to learn from, the sort of game where next time we go 2-0 up, the coaches can say 'remember Stoke'.
These things happen, just make sure it doesn't happen again.
and probably 30/40 other teams

Perhaps footballers should have detachable arms they take off before every match...............bloody preposterous. It WAS NOT deliberate but it is Manure

Wow that's going back, the cantilever stand was built for the 66 World Cup if I'm not mistaken so must have been brand new when you got your season ticket. As an additional bit of useless information the South stand which sits opposite was built for Euro 96. Hopefully at some point some serious work will be done on the ground as we're a million miles from hosting international football these days.
Was brand new from memory, great stand with catering behind, I was never used to that after Ashton Gate. In thoses days Hillsborough was one of the top grounds in England.

WAHEYYY!!!
What a way to get promoted.
Awful game wasn't it? I thought we were really poor, Barnsley have our number this season and without that very dubious red card I don't think it'd have gone Wednesday's way today. I don't feel too sorry for them though as across the season we've been great.
When the goal went in it was a slightly strange moment, it came just a week after what was probably the most exciting and dramatic moment in any Wednesday fan's life and oddly today it was more shock and surprise than wild celebration.
Such a relief to be back in a decent division again though, and so glad I don't have to hear any more whinging about Forest Green!
Memories of 1966 for me OV. Because we had only recently moved oop North the previous year, I used to stand on the Kop. Went to Wembley with the Old Man and we bought 'tout tickets' and ended up in the Everton end !! Next year got ST's in Cantilever Stand. Hoped Everton would come down and us win. Got 50% of what I hoped for !! 3-3 draws for Owls v Robins next year. Us top and Owls runners up ( got to be faithful to my first loves !!!) WELCOME BACK

Oh absolutely! I'm glued to Sky and have seen plenty of worried looking scousers.
But I'd love to see them crying...
I am a Sheff Wed supporter as well as BCFC as lived there for 5 years in my teens. Went to Wembley in 66 where we went 2-0 up and lost 3-2. Everton going down today and Wednesday winning tomorrow will make up for all those years ago.

Yes, as a BCFC supporter of over 60 years now, I really believe that it will take an absolute miracle for us to have the MINDSET in our DNA to get to the Premiership. If I could really pinpoint why we never look like candidates, I would be in demand by every Lg1 and 2 clubs! I can remember not so long ago, going to watch Bournemouth play at Plainmoor v Torquay and really thinking ' they wont be going anywhere soon' How wrong I was. Sadly, I have resigned myself at 73 next birthday to never seeing our beloved club being in the top flight, being constantly talked about on TV and being on the lips of the locals in the pub where I drink, instead of the usual culprits. I leave it to my much younger cousins @CyderInACan and @SuperDziek to follow our family hopes when I depart this mortal coil ( hopefully in about 25 years !!!!!) and pass the misery to them. Anyway, must go as working on a time machine, my only bl**dy hope
