    Far worse than that.

The man in the Channel Islands with extraordinary deep pockets who keeps appearing on my Instagram feed offering me pension advice - I think I’ll pass - didn’t buy a one bedroom studio.

He’s acquired the whole of BS3 for his investment…..

But to use your analogy it’s not a studio flat we’ve got. It’s a ******* mobile home.

    What a shambles……

Al, was about to post and saw this, I would have said more a Greenhouse !!

  2. Just been watching the Salford v Chesterfield match on Sunday and Borehamwood v St Albans last night and constantly the commentators referred and apologised for the 'language'that was picked up by their equipment.

Surely, bad language by fans is a norm , or is it ? Or are the TV companies getting very wokey now in what to me ( as a player as well in my day ) is still a game where expletives are still in existence.

Interested to know what other forum members think

I find the shop soulless. The prices for some of the clothes like t shirts seem very high.

The shop ran by Beryl - I have very fond memories of that. It was crammed full of stuff.

I do really like the café being there.

Difference was that Beryl (god rest her soul) was a 100% City supporter.

Read the woman had children of her own, who apparently were treated well. Yet she subjects a child not her own to such awful torture. May she rot in hell. To the dad what a spineless piece of shit he is. Hopefully both will be looking over their shoulders for the rest of their lives

I really hope so daored, she is beneath contempt and so is he  and I am a peace loving man but

    I hope

they both get hounded to hell in jail. Just going for a meal tonight with my daughter and 6 year

old grandson who I give plenty of hugs to.

Complely agree, it all boils down to money, always has and always will, its the same reason why some can afford teslas (and 3 holidays a year) and most are stuck with petrol/diesels and one holiday if they are lucky. Its why everyone would love to go organic but cant. Make green affordable for the masses rather than bombarding them with doom in the news and it will be far more effective Than people superglueing thier hands to the m25. It really boils my piss when the bbc fly reporters to the Antarctic to tell us how bad it is damaging we are when they are creating loads of co2 to go there in the first place.

Nail on head, all down to money. I have a hearing problem and have waited months to see a specialist, saw him and waited another two months for an MRI two weeks ago. Still awaiting results. If I went private, could have seen a specialist in Bath within a fortnight, MRI in a week and would have known months ago what problem was. The rich will always give a reason for their 'importance' over us plebs

He had a distinctive voice and spoke with a lot of authority.

The iconic match not mentioned by the BBC here was his coverage of City's 1-0 win at Old Trafford in the old Second Division around 1974.

I seem to remember him thanking Alan Dicks for daylight robbery!

    RIP Gerald.

Yes, I was there that day and the old man told me not to talk coming out of the ground !

    RIP Gerald. A true sportsman.

I believe that a big percentage of what we achieve in life is ruled by our ‘ mental ‘ capacity.

If you think you can or cannot do something then you are right.

The brain is an organ which will take the easy option based on habit. When you realise that you can control your thought processes then you are starting to get somewhere.

So, in answer to your question, I am certain that training a person, in any field, in how they think is valuable.

Hasn't trained me much Major.  I Still go down the gate to watch attractive football !!!

    Where am I going wrong ? ?

I guess it's in the blood.

My father went all his life. His brothers went. I believe both grandfathers attended. As my great-grandfathers all worked in South Liberty pit, it's quite likely they watched City - or one of its ancestor clubs - too.

When I moved away from home at 18 and away from the West Country there was a brief teenaged rebellion over growing up in a football-obsessed household and I didn't watch a game for several years.  But I still checked the scores via the Sunday papers.

It's just part of who I am and where I'm from.  I could stop being a ST holder, but I'd not stop caring.

RR, my great granddad worked there as well and became Miners Leader and later Lord Mayor. Alderman Charles Gill

  9. where do I start ?   Started watching 63 years ago H v Leyton Orient. Stood in front of the Old stand on a stool dad made for me. Grandad was a supporter as was uncle (Robert ) Fast forward to a teenager in the EE. Throwing toilet rolls at Rovers supporters ( yes on a derby they 'shared' the EE. Moved north with dads job and followed Sheff Wed for 4 years ( including a cup final in 66 v Everton) Moved back, met the missus and first date was at the Gate and a drink in the supporters club after. Then migrated to Crackers corner in the Open End (Atyeo). Then sponsored supporters club in the 70's with my ad hoarding on the Dolman. Virtual non stop since then and share matchdays with my two cousins ( Robert's sons ) @CyderInACan and @SuperDziek. Now getting seriously fed up with watching City but feel I cant let the support of my dad, grandad and uncle down but even as a ST holder , illness has meant I have only seen one match (v B'mouth) and depressed me even more but still went to the shop last week to get a home kit for my 6 year old grandson................will I never learn ?
