  1. I have stated my opinion of Lee Johnson many times on this forum, almost to the point of being obsessed, and as I am enjoying a games night with friends, I won't bother going over old ground. So it's back to Scrabble for me, being as how I am currently in the lead and on the point of victory. ? If any of you are interested, here is a selection of the words that I have played tonight: OBNOXIOUS ARROGANT ENTITLED SELF INDULGENT UNQUALIFIED FUCKWEASLE (Dictionary currently being consulted).
  2. Surely with our defensive signings, Naismith must be pushed into midfield. I would hope so, anyway.
  3. Green Door - Shakin' Stevens.
  4. Nope. Should have gone years ago.
  5. As an Everton supporter (after City, obvs) and an Eighties fan, I can't help feeling sad that Greame Sharp's involvement in the club has ended like this. Still have goosebumps about that screamer at Anield.
  6. I think he has a house in North Somerset. He definitely has an abode in Devon. I hope you are right. And I think you are. ?
  7. I always said every time the Leicester rumours surfaced that I would be far more worried if Wednesday were looking for a manager. ?
  8. I would LOVE it!!! And a whole lot of sh1te ones.
  9. Has to be CM surely. The defence is looking strong (unless someone leaves), hopefully enabling Naismith to advance into DM. We are fine up front, maybe a target man if we are flush. I don't actually think the CM options are that bad right now, but with fitness questions over some and Scott surely likely to go, that's where I would be focusing. Edit: And another keeper if Bajic isn't up to it.
  10. ? Another passing that makes me feel old. (Which I am). Always seemed like such a nice bloke whilst simultaneously working for Ken Bates. RIP.
  11. I was at AG the day a youngster called Micky Mellon got his debut from the subs bench. All four sides of the ground were singing "There's only one Micky Mellon" as he came on. ? Must have been the name...
  12. Agreed, not in terms of like for like. But if they get a wedge for Rice, they will go for Maddison imo. Unless he's already gone to Newcastle.
  13. My favourite manager in my lifetime of supporting City has always been Jordan, and even given what Cotterill did I never thought that would change. But this man is changing my mind big time. He hasn't achieved with the team what either of those two did, but he wasn't just brought in for that. And this is where I think we have to give credit to the Lansdowns. Finally. After a history of haphazard managerial appointments, and after the ultimate failure of 'project LJ' and getting hoodwinked (allegedly ?) by a man with the same name as the area of BS3, it seems that they finally worked on a vision for the club. A vision based upon the new training facility that could provide a base for everyone. First team, Academy, Women's team and all the alloted staff. And then, by luck or judgement, they hired a manager that could not only progress the team on the pitch, but could be the glue to bring all the above together. Of course, some of you more ITK can possibly shed light on or debunk this theory. All I know is that by judgement or happenstance, we are in a very good place and in very good hands.
  14. He might. But I hope not. Because I don't think that they will pay what we want. I actually think that they will try for Maddison if Rice goes.
  15. I know that you don't have quite the faith in the manager or his staff as some, which is fine. All opinions etc. But I think that they will be prepared for all eventualities, including Scott going late in the window. ?
  16. That'll be the barnet. He's gone back to his 'Leicester cut'.... ...and having been on the Foxes Talk forum and seen the clamour for his return, it doesn't sit easy with me. ?
  17. I trust in Nige and the recruitment team. If they think that a replacement is needed, I suspect that towards the end of the transfer window, that replacement will already be in the building.
  18. Neither can I, but I would hope that we wouldn't be accepting the sums that those three would be willing to pay.
  19. Oops. ? I'm blaming my phone. But it might have been the beer.
  20. I wish all football supporters would petition ITV to get this man in for next season to replace the (imo) awful presenters fronting the EFL highlights show.

    Top 3 up?

In fact, maybe you could have the 4 teams above relegation and the 4 teams below promotion in the division below playing semi finals, then have 2 play-off finals of higher v lower division. Losers in the higher division v winners in the lower. Loads more teams with something to play for. This is how much I get bored in the close season.

    Top 3 up?

Yes, but that was in the Eighties. You would hope there wouldn't be quite the same issue nowadays. I always liked the idea of a team having to 'defend' their higher division status. In fact, I think 3rd and 4th (4th and 5th in L2) vs the first two 'safe' teams in the higher division would be awesome.
  23. Hope not. Baldock, Webster... ...sick of it. He's better than ****ing Brighton.
