  1. Their forum is already discussing the game. https://www.twtd.co.uk/forum/577751/fill-the-*******-place-on-tuesday/#2 I know the kids have to get up for school, I know for some it's a long midweek journey, but this team and manager have earned us making a few sacrifices. PS: I appreciate we do fill the place most weeks and there are only a few pockets of tickets left for Bristol City, but the point stands.
  2. Meanwhile in the Lowland League the top 7 are; Pos Club P W D L F A GD Pts 1 East Kilbride 27 21 3 3 81 38 43 66 2 Cumbernauld Colts 27 16 6 5 57 32 25 54 3 Bo’ness United 28 17 3 8 59 40 19 54 4 Heart of Midlothian B 27 15 6 6 74 34 40 51 5 Tranent 25 15 4 6 57 27 30 49 6 Celtic B 27 14 4 9 66 37 29 46 7 Linlithgow Rose 26 12 7 7 56 33 23 43 The winners play off H&A against the Highland champions. The winner of that game play off H&A against the bottom team in League 2 for the right to be in the Scottish league next season. Meanwhile at the foot of the Lowland league; 17 Gretna 2008 28 2 2 24 23 104 -81 8 18 Edinburgh University 27 1 2 24 31 115 -84 5 We say that in the EFL Championship anyone can beat any one, but in Scots League 2 last week, the bottom team Clyde, were away to the leaders and won 6-1.

    Trouble is; http://www.fawanews.com/ just lately has only been broadcasting City defeats.

    I gave up with Sports 10 two games ago; this is working though; http://www.fawanews.com/Bristol City vs Cardiff City.html
  5. Yep; a special leaving TM at 15.27 direct to Newport and on to Cardiff after a brief pause. There is also the usual service train from Pompey - Cardiff leaving TM at 15.00. Coming to us though only the service train arriving at 11.20.
  6. I've been to Elm Park, a fine setting for any sports venue and to the Dell. When visiting Southampton a few years ago, a local pointed out to me some "Luxury Apartments". I was asked if I knew where I was and didn't. When told tis was the Dell i was shocked. "I saw George Best score a hat trick here and now look at it". I'm not sure whether it's Derby or Sunderland, but at one of them a supermarket has a football painted on the ground to remind shoppers what used to be on that spot. Rotherham's previous ground can still be seen and is pretty near heir new one as is Huddersfield's.
  7. At the time it was suggested that City were after Ivan Toney so Sammie was allowed to go to P'boro' as a sweetener for a future deal. Trouble is Posh wanted £8 million, but City would only offer six, so Ivan T went off to Brentford.
  8. I've looked at Cardiff's forum. They are all looking forward to the return from injury of ...... Callum O'Dowda, even if only a sub. One quote is;
  9. Scottish Div 2 Peterhead v Elgin.
  10. Four minutes in and it's not working for me today.

    All joking aside, they would insist on equal number of tickets for both clubs. That could backfire on them as they might well have unsold tickets whilst many City supporters would be unable to get a ticket as all sold out.
  12. When City signed JET, my relatives in Ipswich said "Some days he's a match winner; other times he just does't want to know." Kiddy are five points from safety, but do have one game in hand. They are that league's lowest scorers, so presumably JET is there to redress the balance. 17 Maidenhead United 35 9 12 14 35 46 -11 39 18 Southend United (-10) 32 14 6 12 46 34 +12 38 19 Wealdstone 30 10 8 12 42 45 -3 38 20 Ebbsfleet United 35 10 8 17 44 58 -14 38 21 Dorking Wanderers 33 11 5 17 38 53 -15 38 22 Woking 34 9 7 18 33 43 -10 34 23 Kidderminster Harriers 34 8 9 17 29 43 -14 33 24 Oxford City 35 7 7 21 47 73 -26 28
  13. Here's a link for those wishing to see the drama unfold; https://sports-10.com/sheffield-wed-v-bristol-city/
  14. No parachute payment and those players would have gone to be replaced by Championship standard players.
  15. Torquay used to play their games on Saturday nights. The reason being people arrive on holiday o a Saturday and might be looking for entertainment and attend the match. That increased he gate receipts. I went a couple of times; there were special busses laid on from Brixham as well as Paignton. Ironically the first game I saw at Plainmoor, they were home to.....Rochdale.
  16. They are hoping for a sell out at Hillsborough; https://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/topic/328701-lets-get-bristol-city-sold-out/ Don't think Bristol have sold too many, they were allocated 1000 and hadn't sold them last night, Over 1000 now, so probably 1200 tops and then a comment heard at sooo many clubs; in absolutely gagging to go and watch my Wednesday but I refuse to go while they’re run like they are.
  17. OK folks; addressing negativity on here. Take the last three results and for some it's the end of the world losing at home to QPR. If City had lost 2-1 at Middlesbrough, beaten Saints 3-1 and then won 1-0 v QPR, people would be declaring "We're on the right track. LM has got the club going in the right direction" etc.

    Oops; found out now the semi finals are one off events, no longer H&A.

  20. And for real non League;
  21. A Blackpool fan standing behind a goal lobbed a brick towards us. Blackjack (remember him?) "returned the goods to their rightful owner" and got three months.
  22. A November game in the 72-73 season; I was at Blackpool too that day. Because the Hayes floodlights weren't quite good enough, that game had a 2.30 kickoff, so finished before ours. It confused the Blackpool fans when we started cheering with 30 mins of our game to go.

    EFL Trophy

    OK, I know this doesn't affect us, but since it's inception forty years ago, this competition had been split into North and South sections. The top two teams in each section would pay H&A for the right to meet the winner of the other section in the final; (Remember Gillingham H&A in 2015?) This year though instead of a regional final, it's a straight semifinal. Bradford play Wycombe and P'boro' play Blackpool. The two finalists therefore could be two teams from the same geographic area. Any specific reason for the change this season?
