  1. That comment may be lost on the young 'uns, nearly 20 years ago now. The trouble between the large group of supporters started on Radcliffe Road, Nottingham, after Saturday's game. The nearby Amici wine bar was damaged inside and out during the incident. Three men from the Avon and Somerset area, aged 17, 41 and 44, have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and criminal damage
  2. Agreed; a great game for neutral viewers. Four bookings in the first half, but it wasn't a dirty foul ridden game.
  3. That link worked for me thanks, but my PC warned me of Malware on that site. I pressed on regardless and it seems to be OK.
  4. Regardless of tonight's result, this may be of interest; The FA Cup fifth-round draw will be held on Sunday 28 January at around 2.10pm GMT.
  5. Following consideration by the EFL Board, the League can today confirm the fixture schedule for the 2024/25 season with kick-off set to take place over the weekend of 10/11 August 2024, with the regular League campaign ending on May 3, 2025. The 46 rounds of League matches will take place across 33 weekends, 9 midweeks and 4 Bank Holidays in the Championship, with Leagues One and Two playing over 36 weekends, 6 midweeks and 4 Bank Holidays. The Cup and Trophy competitions remain in their current formats with the Carabao Cup beginning in mid-August and the Group Stage of the Bristol Street Motors Trophy, involving League One, League Two and 16 invited under-21 Premier League teams, starting in early September. The Sky Bet Play- Offs will take place over the 2025 May Bank Holiday Weekend.
  6. And we used to laugh at Oxford's Manor Ground. For you young 'uns, three stands on one side of the pitch. Like many old grounds, The Manor Ground was unique. It had four sides like most stadia in England, but each stand looked as though it had come from different grounds around the country.
  7. Nat Lge South table is not such pleasant reading compared to earlier in the season. Yeovil remain top, 13 points clear of Worthing and 16 clear of 3rd placed Hampton. Further down though; Torquay have climbed back to 6h, WsM are up to 15th and Taunton are 20th, but have a few games in hand over Weymouth, above them and Eastbourne who are 21st.

    Max

That was said on Saturday afternoon on SSN. They praised Max saying he read the situation well.
  9. https://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/topic/327735-everything-else-will-be-overshadowed/ the view of SWFC fans. As for automatic forfeits; yes that could be open to fixing "it was a load of gurt teds" etc. However forfeit games are usually awarded 3-0 to the other side. That will skew the tables. Potentially many 3-0 "wins" for muti racial teams.
  10. The notices are in Polish and German. A few years ago a Rovers fan on holiday in Poland visited the museum at Auschwitz. When he came out he had a photo taken of himself holding a flag "Aushwitz Gas" posted on gaschat. Perhaps this is the same person.
  11. Hence the expression Tinpot Rovers
  12. Their even handed with their post match comments; https://wfcforums.com/index.php?threads/bristol-city-1-1-watford-fc-20-01-2024.60744/page-4 When Bristol were on top in the second half they were pressing so high because they were confident we didn't have any pace to counter them with. Mixed feelings. As others have stated, I would have taken a point before the game also.
  13. agreed. If we had drawn 1-1 up there and won 4-1 today, we'd all be ecstatic.
  14. It's now 4.40 and we've been informed again that Bristol City are trailing 1-0. Would he do this for onw of the top Prem teams?
  15. It gets worse. 4.20 and the studio anchor comes out with "Bristol City were trailing 1-0 at half time; how have they started the second half"? Please come back Jeff S.
  16. Watching SSN City's goal was described as " a scramble and Twine eventually got his head to the ball when it looped up". Doesn't look it in that clip though.
  17. Chesterfield's Manager in action at Scunny. His heart is sure in the job;
  18. they would stand a chance of playing one of the Israeli teams. Israel ply in UEFA comps because they cannot play their neighbours for political reasons.
  19. SSN tonight; Nuneaton are now considering Liquidising. On a more pleasing note; Nat Lge South Manager of the Month was Paul Wotton https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68017196
  20. Now if travelling gasheads stood closer then their numbers might look greater. Here's an away end from Poland that's perfect for them. https://www.odditycentral.com/news/human-zoo-football-fans-forced-to-watch-match-from-inside-metal-cage.html
  21. They've already started their match thread. They refer to us as City and not Bristol... https://wfcforums.com/index.php?threads/bristol-city-v-watford-fc-20-01-2024.60744/ Bristol City will be on the crest of a wave no doubt. They have a young squad with a couple of them.likelt to follow Scott into the PL. The Reds will obviously hoping it's with them. Good to see lots of youngsters supporting their local side ladt night against West Ham. Manning is certainly doing a better job than Pwarson and has already linked up with Scott Twone again. I think we're a decent side with everyone available but don't have the quality to match Bristol City, Coventry or Middlesbrough in the playoff race. The only hope is that young sides like City often have inconsistency. Play to the same intensity as city and we give them a game if we are off it like boxing day then only one outcome Sometimes a team just have your number, and I think this season City have ours. 3-0 them.
  22. 1-0 down, 3-1 up, Norwich knocked Rovers out of the cup. I'm sure we've heard something similar to that before....
  23. https://forum.pinkun.com/index.php?/topic/155186-team-for-rovers-replay/ Has to be full strength. A lucrative tie at Liverpool awaits. Wagner really can't balls this up. Tbf could be called off yet, frozen pitch, no undersoil heating and freezing temps all week . Good point. Due to be sub zero in Bristol come kick off time That would be annoying. Could they move it to Ashton Gate? I'd imagine that has under soil heating Just taking this to its logical extension, if postponed, will it have to be played the following mid-week so the Leeds match gets moved? Surely Klopp would be ranting if the postponed match was re-scheduled for the FA Cup weekend so Liverpool have to squeeze another match into their already hectic schedule?
