Also can they take several thousand to sheff wed in league one....

If I remember rightly I think they did, although it is the only time they've been there in 30 years....just like this trip to Brammell Lane. Games against genuinely big clubs at big grounds will always draw out larger numbers of travelling supporters for clubs like the Gas who rarely get the chance to go to these venues. We're the same when Newcastle find themselves in the Chanpionship.

Whilst both Sheffield teams are much bigger than us we have become used to playing at these grounds. Would the Gas take much more than 400 to Hillsborough early in the season on a Tuesday night if they'd played there 10 times in the last couple of decades?

    Doubt it very much.

..no truer words spoken as the fourteen thousandth post on your most popular thread. Every day.

    Thanks d1ckhead.

Good luck in your desperate quest to take more to Sheffield. It's your first visit to Brammell Lane in 3 decades, I'm sure it'll be a sell out.

Still, at least he's actually ours.

Made it pretty clear in the summer he didn't want to be one of yours though didn't he?

It must have been a relief after months of stalling by Taylor who was waiting to see if anyone else would come along that he finally gave up hope and settled for you....by 'you' I mean the Gas not Pompey.

  4. Interesting to see that over a week later Gasheads are still plucking imaginary totals out of the sky for our away following at Hillsborough.

307 is a new figure as far as I'm aware, they "GOTA" beat it. Not sure why they've got to beat it? it wouldn't prove anything, it's not like ST sales or average attendances. Presumably tiny 'victories' like this are the only thing that prevents some of them from shitting themselves with rage every day, remember how many of them were spanking the monkey after their 'invasion' of Nottingham last season? I almost pity them for feeling so inferior that it matters so much.

    Such a funny little club.

What you can bank on is them raving on social media again when they take more than 407 to sheff united away which they bloody well should when its the first time they played them in over a decade..

I don't get their obsessesion with away crowds either. The amount they go on and on about it you just know that it hurts them that our away attendance averages have been higher than theirs every season for as long as I can remember....Even when we have a relegation threatened season compared to their promotion challenging season.

They haven't played at Brammall Lane for 28 years. For any fans under the age of 40 this is likely to be their first visit to see Rovers at that ground. Unlike our fans who go to Hillsborough nearly every year.

What was the reason for the boycott?

There was a cycle race somewhere in the country. You Gasheads know how hard this hits attendance figures...."do I go to watch the football or cycling? football? cycling?". Tough decision, as you know it can knock thousands of your gate.

I won't accuse your fans of boycotting most of your home games for the last 40 years as everyone knows the reasons for your constant low attendances at home are just because your support is shit and more people in Bristol want to watch City....I'm just wondering why you have a sponsored silence at every home game these days?

I see rovers continue to be the most liked club, by singing "is there a fire drill" to Bradford fans

    good taste that, asshats

They did exactly the same thing a few years ago. To be fair there were other Gasheads who said they were appalled by it that time as well.

Like last time some are saying it's an innocent chant "they didn't mean anything bad by it" because the blokes singing it were probably young and didn't know....which of course is bullshit, especially in this day and age of social media when people post videos on Facebook of the incident every year on the anniversary.

Inside their tiny peanut brains they'll still claim that everyone adores them as some kind of national treasure.

Watch the highlights on Sky and you can see that Derby clearly are firing on all cylinders.  They absolutely murdered Ipswich.  61% possession, 23 shots to 5, 4 corners to none.  And Ipswich won with a bad mistake by the Derby keeper with 1 of their 2 shots on target.

Derby will be a really tough game on Saturday.

Oh I don't doubt it mate...and to be fair I haven't seen the highlights of their game so maybe I was a bit premature to say that they seem to be struggling at the moment.

Losing 6-0 at home crushes your confidence. Being half an inch away from what would have been a definite win doesn't.

Indeed, I'm hoping that the fine margins and bad luck (Paterson striking the post) that prevented us a win at the death on Saturday along with Tomlin's penalty tonight will galvanise the squad against a Derby side who are clearly not firing on all cylinders at the moment.

Gutted tonight but nothing that should destroy our confidence for upcoming matches.

Somewhere in this thread is a screenshot showing a page of threads on the gas forum each one named something about City.

Earlier in the year, around the time we were trying to sign Clough. Just imagine if they managed to get into the same division as us, or even one whole place above us in the league? **** me!

Just had a city player say to me that " our fans obsession with u is embarrassing ".   Reads this forum.   Brilliant, maybe you guys should give rover's a rest, 340 pages on ur own forum!!!

Tell you what, you bizarre fantasist, next time your imaginary footballer mate tells you how obsessed we are....point him in the direction of Gaschat. I didn't even have to look hard either, the first topic on the page is about work starting on the UWE Stadium car park and its quickly become a conversation about us.

    'Oh yes'.

Funny you should say that because I've just had a Rovers player say to me that the Mem is like a morgue most of the time and its embarrassing that your fans are so obsessed with US that when asked where they want the club to be in the future they simply answer "above City"...

Cant tell you who though, shhh, it's a secret!

So as I see it, you're all in agreement:

the owner is an unprofessional buffoon stringing the fans along and hasn't got 2 brass farthings to rub together, there's never going to be a new stadium or training complex,

    Not at all Danny.

Personally I think you've fallen on your feet with the Al Qadis who will deliver the stadium and a new training complex.

Whether they are as willing to stick with it through the less successful times like Lansdown has done with us remains to be seen.

I think you'll find that if some of our fans are quick to take the piss out of the apparent lack of instant changes off the field at Rovers it's mainly in response to the w@nkfest and deluded predictions directed at City from Sagheads on Gaschat and Facebook when Wally arrived back in February.

Your spunk trumpet mates don't help themselves I'm afraid.

Keep getting those likes Bert. It must keep you happy.

Have you been to many games lately? Which ones? Do you think that the club and squad have improved or declined in the last two years?

Oh look, Scooby Doo is on the case now.

Chill out for a bit 'Flea'...Detective Fanny hasn't finished his interrogation/grooming yet.

    Yep

    Question:

Where do you want this club to be in a years time.

    Answer:

    Above Bristol City.

    Question:

What is the ambition of this club.

    Answer:

To be higher in the League than Bristol City.

Sorry, I've read this a few times and I'm a bit confused....

Who asked the questions and who gave those answers?

I did something I have never done before and went and looked at your posting history and I have to say I can't see any evidence of this in your defence.

So have I now (feels grubby....and petty tbh) but as DDD has a bee on his bonnet over Bert apparently claiming to be something he's not I think it's only fair.

I don't know what you can see but I can only view around 50 of Danny's 400 odd posts. For some reason there's a massive gap in posts between April 2014 and August 2016, don't know what's going on there...what happened around May 2014?

Edit: my posting history only goes back as far as 2013 as well, presumably this is something to do with the big OTIB forum revamp last year?

He's just trying to call his bluff.

Personally if I was Bert I wouldn't want to meet some random nutjob from a football forum in a pub anyway. Danny will probably claim this proves he's not a Gashead but then Danny pretended he was a City fan when he first started posting on here.

No need, this is like throwing food to the chimps at a zoo and watching them fight over it, although chimps show more intelligence

...well, I suppose it's nice to have a hobby.

So basically you've got nothing to throw back at us then?...just that we have a striker on a season long loan.

Reminds me of the time I asked Weezord to give us his best bit of banter and he replied that the Atyeo Stand wasn't joined up to the rest of the ground.

So the 6th richest club in the country have spent £0.00 in the transfer market!!  It begs the question of what's the point of willy waving about having a "rich" owner when he doesn't spend any of his ££££???

From perusing Gaschat they seem to think it's a badge of honour to not spend any money as it shows how brilliant DC is as a manager and how careful Wael is as an owner?

And another thing while I'm here, the arrogance of their fans thinking because they showed up at Chelsea and gave them a game, and took some fans, that Chelsea have selected them worthy of having some loan players?  Really???

Incredible stuff from the brain dead idiots who frequent that den of stupidity.

Maybe Chelsea loaned us Tammy because they thought our support is superb, Obviously we didn't need to prove it by selling 4k tickets for a glamour cup tie at Stamford Bridge. I expect West Brom were dying to send us players after we took 5k to the Hawthorns in January?

Their apparent satisfaction that Wally is not so quick to put his hand in his pocket is in stark contrast to the shit they were all coming out with when the Al Qadis arrived and they all went into w@nky overdrive about how he was going to splash the cash and bring in quality players to help them overtake us in the league.

    Hypocritical morons.

Nor have I as far as I'm aware - but I'm sure you've trawled through my historical posts so g'wan then - show me the evidence

Ive picked you up on this before Danny, when you first started posting you tried to give the impression you were a City fan saying stuff like "why do OUR fans take the p1ss out of Rovers so much etc".

Fortunately for you I think all those posts were lost when the forum was remodelled last September. Maybe Tomarse can work some magic.

What kind of Gashead would pretend to support City?
