Another full house at the memorial ground

The Sags have been so preoccupied with our fixtures lately (along with the possibility of getting their Cup Final back next season) the self proclaimed greatest, most loyalist fans in the World probably forgot their own team were playing.....again.

    8k odd, dear oh dear....

....anybody would think they've given up on promotion already?

Pissed up delusion again.... 'As a bit of an outsider (Londoner / Gas adopter) I don't believe Gas fans realise how unique Rovers are as a club or how great the fans are compared to the reds. For me it's black and white; reading their angry forum I can see how much they despise us because they know for all they have, they will never have soul! FTG'

    What a load of bollux!

That's brilliant! What kind of bonehead moron came to those conclusions?

Gasheads constantly bang on about how ******* amazing and 'unique' THEY think they are

    It's their favourite hobby.

Blowing their own trumpets and boring everyone to death about how amazing they are whilst making up lies about City fans probably helps them sleep at night.

They're kidding themselves as per usual. So 'unique', so much 'soul', yet historically such small crowds compared to City. They're nothing special...a quirky kit and an anthem about some depressed old fart falling in love with a young girl won't ever change that.

...and if you want to see real anger, mention the name Matty Taylor to a Gashead :clapping:

All joking aside, a gas supporting friend of mine was caught up in this and has ended up on crutches for a couple of weeks through no fault of his own. As he's a self employed plasterer, that's a real problem for him.

I've been told there were not enough seats in the assigned area and that the stewards were telling people to sit down when there was nowhere to sit and it kicked off from there.

They MAY be the innocent party for a change?

Plenty of seats in this picture mate...

It's funny because a few weeks ago they refused to believe that they only had around 700 at Rochdale as well....it's all a big conspiracy with those ******* idiots isn't it? :pacifier:

For a set of fans who bore everyone to death about how unbelievable their away support is, you'd think they'd take a few more to their away matches....

Maybe there was another bike ride somewhere?

How do you accidentally piss on somebody's leg?

No idea if this actually happened but let's just say it wouldn't surprise me given that most Gasheads aren't toilet trained.

They haven't really covered themselves in glory this week, have they?

I just love the fact a few think we bought him because Lansdown was bricking it that they would be taking over us in the next few months!! If we even did go down you only have to look at them overall to see how far behind they are in every aspect.

It's good to see they're still all over Social Media, bleating and crying, playing the poor little victims...pathetic.

    "It's all Lansdowns FAULT"

I thought they were supposed to be billionaires? If they can't walk the walk, they shouldn't talk the talk. Perhaps they should ask questions of the Al Qadis and Hamer instead trying to make Lansdown out to be some kind of evil cartoon baddie? It's cringeworthy..

This pretty much sums them up.

Knocked out of the cup and Ian Holloway unfortunately loses at home to Burton Albion?

    That's the way it goes....

Anyway, as you're here (and I know how much you lot love talking about attendances), how come you couldn't manage to get 10k Sagheads turn up for your big local derby today? It's not as if you're having a shit season...

No wonder Wally the multi billionaire doesn't want to pay for a 21k stadium himself, I don't blame him, what's the point?

historically i wonder when the last time rovers averaged more than city over a season? i think it must have happened in the 1950"s?

81/82 season, we were 4th div, they were 3rd div. Its the only time they've done it in the last 52 years.

  8. ....and to think they were taking the piss out of us for 'only' managing 20k against Cardiff for a 12:00 kick off a few weeks ago. 10.5k at the Mem today for the visit of Swindon who brought more than 1k fans.

Local derby, great home form, well within touch of the Play Offs in their best season for 18 years and they muster about 9k home fans. Presumably there was another bike ride taking place somewhere in Bristol today?

I suppose if they get to play us next season in their cup final they might manage to get over 10k home fans for once....

Are the famous GHS going to be lying in wait for us at New Street station tomorrow seeing as their away to Warsaw

Famous only inside their own deformed heads.

Meanwhile I notice the sixth richest club in the World have so far failed to pull off the multi million pound signings they told us they'd be making after Wally took over.  It's ok though because the hypocrites have now decided they never really wanted that to happen anyway....of course :shifty:

Still, it's lucky they haven't signed Messi just yet because that could distract Slagchat regulars from their favourite hobby of playing with themselves whilst they fantasise about facing City one day for their big cup final.

See what you have done is made yourself look like a 2nd prize blonker and gone on a un- needed, anti gas rant!

I wasn't talking about a 'league' game.I stated that playing "yesterdays game against Fleetwood in an very uninspiring fa cup game, with you in terrible form against a club from a lower than league than yourselfs, would not have drawn 10k at the old ashton gate yesterday.

If I'm wrong - I will willingly hold my hands up.

Yeah I misread it, although I do love to go on a good old anti Gas rant....thought you meant league match. Don't know what we'd get for a 3rd round FA Cup tie as a Championship club against a L1 club in the old AG. I can't remember the last time we were in that situation but it wouldn't surprise me if you're right.

It's not a knock at you,but you wouldn't have got 10k for yesterday's game two seasons ago before the rebuild.

    Yes we would.

You're trying to tell me all those seasons in L1 when we were up and around the Play Offs (like yourselves this year) we weren't getting over 10k? You're talking shit and the actual figures are there to see. You've been scoring loads of goals at home and you're in your best league position for years yet you only managed 8.4k at home...as someone else pointed out we we're getting 11k at the 'old' AG when we were near the bottom of L1.

What I don't get about you Gasheads is that you accuse us of being plastic fans with no passion yet you keep telling us that your supporters won't show up unless you've got a nice comfy seat to sit in.

City have had higher attendances than the Gas for 51 of the last 52 years, a large number of those years we played in similar stadiums. I know you lot don't like to admit the truth but despite all the lies you tell about the behaviour of our fans towards our own and how utterly amazing and fantastic your quirky kit and awful 'anthem' supposedly are, the fact is, more Bristolians love City.

If they weren't the 'gift that keeps giving' this thread wouldn't exist and it wouldn't have been viewed so many times...by City fans AND visiting Gasheads from Slagchat..(Hi d1ckheads :sub:)

Its not our fault their club is a complete and utter shuttle crash.

As someone who is deep in the heart of South Bristol it fills my heart to hear these tales, I've always been of the the belief that anywhere the other side of the River was at least 50/50 or even a majority of Gas

I lived in Lockleaze for several years (which is how I know their fans aren't anywhere near as loud at home as they pretend they are. It's actually North Bristols biggest library for most games), often used to see lads wearing City shirts, especially on Saturdays when City were at home as many would catch the direct bus service to AG.

During one tournament (either the Euros or WC, can't remember which) one house just off Dovercourt Road had a huge St George flag hanging from the bedroom windows with 'Bristol City' written across it....this is 5 minutes walk from the Mem.

Yes, it is possible to invest over £100m in a Championship club to get it "championship ready" ... and still only get 5 points from the last 30.  Still, not to,worry, if I have a look at some comical pics of Rovers fans and a photo of a portacabin I am happy again and forget all my troubles.

Don't know about "happy again" but it is good to remember that, no matter what, things could always be worse...I mean just imagine if you were the '6th richest club in Britain' and all your owner was willing to pay for is this piece of shit?

  15. We lost at home to Brighton and Gasheads were stroking themselves about how supposedly shit the quality is in the Championship and how they could easily compete at our level.

They've now played the three utterly appalling teams relegated from the Champ last season. They've drawn at home to MK, lost at home to Bolton and been hilariously thumped, at home, by Charlton.

    Remember they're 'comin for us'

    #ticktock

    'Mind da Gas'

    Deluded idiots.

Well that's hardly likely to be true on a thread with 325 pages and a million obsessed views, is it?

If your club hadn't been such a ******* car crash over the last couple of decades we wouldn't laugh at you so much, would we?

You hand us the ammunition, don't cry when we use it.

Oh, and hi to all the d1ckheads from Slagchat who obsessively view this thread. :sub:

We got Birmingham away next week. I've not heard anything on ticket sales for that. Hope we don't embarrass ourselves by taking a similar amount. Our away support has been poor this season

I think we probably will only take around a thousand. Birmingham and Reading are similar distances and with over 1500 already sold for Reading the week after I think most of our fans with bills and mortgages are opting to go to that game instead of Birmingham, especially with Christmas coming up....probably swayed by the fact that the railway line is shut north of Cheltenham.

We sold out our allocation for Brum last year.

I think our away support has been ok this year, over 1200 average and, as someone else has pointed out, that includeds midweek fixtures in Sheffield and Norwich as well as Rotherham and Barnsley.

I've never heard any City fans claim that our away support is anything special....unlike the Gas who seem to think their away followings are something for the whole Football League to admire. They are the ones who build themselves up as something special, 1000 to London on a Saturday is not impressive for a club who claim to have huge support in one of Britains biggest cities. They didn't have to go by rail replacement buses either.

Nice to hear from Millwall fans that they were as quiet away from home as they are at the Mem. That's another one of their myths busted.

Only 1000 bothered to travel up, gutted it wasn't more

We took more than that to London on a Tuesday night. I thought they said their away support was amazing?

What amuses me is that one week after they start a cocky thread on Slagchat about how they could easily compete in the Championship going by our performance against the joint best side outside the Prem, they've lost to a 4th division team in midweek and been dicked today.

Oh, and they couldn't beat another 4th division side last Saturday either.

    They really don't help themselves.
