Not as pathetic as less than 8000 for an important home fixture surely?

They have got the owners they deserve. Gasheads can't be arsed to show up for regular league matches so why should their owners put any serious money into the club?

Taking 2000 to a nice big ground they haven't visited for 25 years against a team in a higher division with tickets at £10 a pop doesn't make them anything special. Where were those fans when they went to Wigan on Saturday...or Bradford, or Bury?

It was their big night out, just like Birmingham a few years ago. How cute.

Our 700 to Molineux was only 4 days after we took 3400 to Reading.

Oh, they are bleating about taking 2000 to Wolves. It must really be hurting them with the snake scoring tonight.....my heart bleeds.....not! :rofl2br:

Thought they were supposed to be taking 4000?

Thats what the chimpanzees on Slagchat were confidently predicting a couple of weeks ago.

Presumably the other 2000 "wuz in the gert ******* home end" or something...

    'went today...

quite simply we were beaten by the better side.

out manoevered and at times out classed

watching it i was thinking to myself this bristol side is probably in terms of style the sort of thing that rowett is trying to move us towards

Raw power and pace up top , graft and mobility in midfield and then plenty of pace and trickery on the flanks - leko absolutely destroyed us all afternoon, was simply excellent, all held together by a couple of no nonesense centre halves at the back

is it lee johnson there in charge? Done a very good job.... but it hasnt happend overnight has it.'

Just about to post this myself.

Its good to read things like this from opposition fans.

For a team unbeaten in 5 and playing another high flyer, i would expect we took a lot more. We never really travel in great numbers to these games, not for a club with a similar home attendance this year. In a way i prefer 500/600 die hards anyway, normally a great atmosphere.

    Yep.

Thats my prediction for the attendance at the Mem tonight as well.

    200 from Oldham.

    Tragic.

Some lonely, ass kissing Brummie begging for attention and a lying d1ck head Sag claiming they've always been the better supported club 'on the road' despite actual attendance stats showing that they haven't.

    Cretins.

Perhaps the Wolves fan feels sorry for them because he knows exactly what it feels  like to live in the shadow of your biggest rivals?

God I hope they lose as well after they spawned a result v Reading. A bigger away following and a good result or one on par would wipe the smile off their smug faces

What a complete mug, typifying the mentality of your average sag head

You can tell it means so much to little turds like that one.

Only £10 a ticket they're paying as well.

I see they are creaming themselves over the thought of them taking more to Wolves next week than we will tomorrow.

3-4000 they were confidently predicting a couple of weeks back.

Funny how they suddenly show some interest for cup matches at big grounds they rarely visit but only manage a meagre 400 or so when visiting Bradford and Bury.

Only 8000 of them again at home last Saturday. God knows why they insist on bringing up attendances all the time?

A 12:30pm game up north, live on Sky? Would you go? I'm all for mocking the blue few but I doub't we'd take much more than a few hundred in their place.

Sheffield Utd, L1, SKY TV, 12:30 kick off we took 655.....and they took the piss big time saying if they were in the same position they'd take double etc.

If they didn't make out their away support was something special then I wouldn't mock them. Besides, by 4:00 this afternoon they'll be claiming 800 Potd + "all the Gas in the ome end".

Why only one day to get a replacement in? How short sighted is that? Surely if you have an inclination that your star player "could" be off you'd start making plans way before the last day (eg the recruitment of Baker when it was possible Flint might be leaving)?

That's what we do though, that's not the Gas way.

Bit like when we had an inclination that the plans for the new stadium at Ashton Vale were in doubt. City released plans for a redeveloped AG 6 months before AV was declared dead in the water.

The AQs didn't bother with that...instead they dropped hints (new sprinklers, new seats for the tent, "don't the carpets and curtains look clean today?" etc)

    'Evolution' apparently.

    Come on Peter,

Do you really think that the 'Pikey' OP on their forum was truly a Rovers fan?

He will surely own up on here later.

    Yeah, you're probably right Phil.

Still, you'd think they'd be more than happy to provide evidence that their away support is better than ours no matter who is asking the question.

    Obviously not though.

Don't laugh too much. As for the second comment; if we're only 35 years old, they are only three.

I'm being taunted by my s**thead brother in law about last night's attendance and wanted some away support stats to prove how much better our away following is that the s**ts. Can anyone help please

Yeah, wanted some stats to prove how sh** their away support is and show that our fans are loyal and stick through thick and thin. And i think a dean windass reference and the fact they are only a 35 year old club anyway

So the OP on that thread wanted his fellow Gasheads to provide him with some away support statistics to prove how much better their away support is and nobody could actually come up with anything that wasn't either made up or irrelevant.

    Funny that.

Ready for this beauty, apparently the players had to make their own way to wycombe (from good friend connected with club) because the club hasn't paid their bus bill. Not tinpot, ******* skint tinpot

I don't believe this is true.

However, I did hear that the players are now taking it in turns to take all the kit home after games for their mum's to wash because the official BRFC washing machine is ****** and Currys won't give them a new one on finance because their credit rating is shit.

Their grounds capacity was 11,500 and when they were under holloway they were selling out pretty much every home game.

When our capacity was reduced recently in league one we were getting 11.5k.

    Are you sniffing glue tonight?

They weren't selling out "pretty much every home game" under Holloway and we were getting 11.5k because that was the number of seats available for City supporters.

A mid table league one PNE, Brentford, Burton and Barnsley would struggle to match the rovers attendance.

Before the stadium redeveopment we used to get what between 9.5k - 11k when we were a mid table league one side. The only reason we are getting what we are now is because of the redevelopment.

If rovers had a similar redevelopment and investment you know the gap would be much closer. The fact is they don't and even my gas mates admit the best they can hope for is to maybe finish above us for a couple of seasons.

I don't like them and they are a deluded bunch but they aren't as tinpot as some of us make out (including me).

Sorry, most of this is garbage. PNE and Barnsley would never struggle to match Rovers attendances in L1. You could also argue that PNE and Barnsley would have much higher attendances if their catchment area was the size of North and East Bristol with only one local club providing competition for support.

    Same for Brentford.

How many more supporters would the Gas have if they had the same finances and stadium as us? Who knows?

All I do know is that in the last 50 odd years they've only had a higher average attendance than us for one season. One season.

As for being tinpot....there's clearly nothing tinpot about the Gas!!

Prepare for a travelling support Willy wave off then!!

Teds got them Tuesday before. So defo travelling willy wave off!

I bet we end up taking double the number of fans than them?
    Lady gardens!

    Well done them

They really do think they're the Leeds Utd of L1. Shame they get less than half our attendances at home and only take 500 away to places like Bury.

We took twice as many away fans than Man Utd to West Brom in 2016. Big deal!

They're such a funny little club.

If they want a real 'willy waving' contest why don't they compare the numbers we both took to Wembley in 2015?...us for our Mickey Mouse cup final and them for their Play Off Final.

    Or ST sales every year?

Or just home and away attendances in the league for the last half a century?

8,363 (including 91 from Fleetwood). I'll just leave this here.

We all know how obsessed they are with attendances so I'm glad you posted this.

They bang on about how many thousands they're going to take to Molineux (a ground they haven't been to for decades) but barely get over 8k at home. No wonder the Al Qadis don't want to pay for a 21k stadium.

    'Amazing support' they say...

Anybody see this interview or is it safe to assume this is just another load of old Gas bullshit that one of them has made up....like the disabled fan supposedly getting his teeth knocked out in Ashton Gate?

Is there an indication that the Al Qadis are? Or is that just more Cider Special?

    Complete assumption on my part.

I do believe there is a difference between a rich man jizzing his cash away and a family of investment bankers who are doing feasibility studies and evolving rather than revolutionising.

Pantsdown is bankrolling them and building what ever he likes because he feels like it.

Do you see no difference in the 2 Bristol club owners?

    This is correct.

The difference is...unless SL leaves a big dollop of cash for BCFC1982LTD. in his will they will have no sustainable business model to take them forward in the future.

It could be 1982 all over again for the robins.

The Al Qadis are seemingly building the club so it can sustain itself and therefore will not need a sugar daddy to constantly pour money into it.

Potentially BRFC have a better long term future under the current two regimes.

How they genuinely believe this shit :rofl2br::facepalm:

So they've gone from telling us that SL is going to piss off any day now and leave City in the financial shit to "unless SL leaves a big dollop of cash in his will" blah, blah blah.

Is SL not trying to implement a sustainable business model then?

    What about Jon Lansdown?

The morons would be better off questioning the commitment of the AlQs and their own finances instead of touching themselves thinking about when SL dies.
