  1. Has anyone noticed that in the photograph used in the article the Memorial Stadium has new blue seats? (To the left of Wally). The stand has also been rebuilt. The photo doesn't look anything like the real world, unless the development has taken place overnight
  2. This can't be moved into classics as there is much more to come. The last few months with nothing happening is just the lull before the storm. Trust me, I used to be a Boy Scout. Dib dib dib
  3. Part of the problem was lots people replied to his crazy posts. He then replied to them, which generated more posts from City fans, and so it went on.
  4. You're right to be happy. You've got a new tent, and a new portacabin. On the pitch you have a new forward on loan who has scored two goals in two seasons. What have we got at Ashton Gate, just a £45m 27,000 seater stadium. Plus an England under 19 international on loan and players from Juventus, Bayern Munich, Sunderland and Bournmouth. We just can't compete
  5. Having this "stadium" on television is an embarrassment for Bristol. Not even non-league teams have a tent at one end of the ground
  6. I like this two tent image. It reminded me of a Month Python sketch about Arthur Two Sheds Jackson. From now on, to me, the Rovers owner will always be Wael Two Tents Al Qadi.
  7. They make the mistake of meeting someone who knows nothing about / dislikes football. What's even worse is marrying a Rovers fan (apologies is there's someone on the forum who has) . There should be a dating lonely hearts thread on the forum so that single City fans can meet up.
  8. Havana - you mention the Wigan pier. Were you referring to Lord Stopfiord of Fallowfield? Born in Wigan in 1888
  9. I think you're right. This isn't the first time there has been a jolly good jape at the Mem. Remember the feng shui hoax from 2000? https://www.theguardian.com/football/2000/jan/20/newsstory.sport1
  10. Had Shedman changed his allegiance?
  11. Quote from a guide to footballer's league grounds on Rovers ground: "Current stadium has a cricket pavilion stand which makes it quite different to any other stadium." We can't compete with that at Ashton Gate! Where did we go wrong?
  12. Has anyone checked to see if it's genuine or fake? If the hands don't move that's a clue.
  13. Phil - you have the ability to make the impossible sound almost plausible, so I've worked out who you are - Nick Higgs. How are you getting on spending the millions you received from the sale of Rovers?
  14. Nice comment on the Rovers forum: "It'll only take a few days maybe a week max to put a temporary stand up. It's basically scaffolding, sheets of metal and some seats." Obviously no expense spared on the ground redevelopment.
  15. Luke James is a good signing. He's scored 2 goals in the last 2 seasons.
  16. I suppose a tent is good for a forward moving club. They can take it with them when they move to the new car park at UWE.
  17. I'm surprised that the world financial markets didn't recover after the Rovers statement.
  18. Question for Philgas. Will Brexit be used as another excuse by Rovers to not build a new stadium?
  19. You can't be.You said "I am honestly lost for words!"
  20. Are you planning to take your white plastic chair to the UWE car park?
  21. I think "latrine" is a better description of the Memorial Ground facilities.
  22. Sometimes, but I always win the arguement.
