  1. The idea of having a selection of 'pre fans forum questions' would be a good initiative.

However, all these questions would then be vetted, so the more awkward one's to answer, would probably be left in the 'inbox' and never asked anyway.

It's a bit of a 'Bristolian Trait' - be polite and don't ask anything that maybe a tad testing for the panel.

If the Newcastle Board had sacked a manager who had the backing of 85% of the fans and then brought in a young and relatively non experienced manager as a replacement, their fans forum evening would be alot different to ours last night 🤣

Let's get behind Mr Manning though. He's been asked to head up the team and in my eyes, he's our Manager, not Head Coach. Just because he's on the grass coaching the lads, rather than observing from the sidelines, his job is identical to Nigel's.

    Liam Manning is our Manager.

Can you artificially create an atmosphere in what is essentially a sanitised concrete seated multi purpose venue these days? I think performance and success will create the atmosphere, sadly I believe as a  collective home support base we only sing when we’re winning or at least being entertained.

I think the point about the away fans in the Atyeo stand has been taken away by management, although I get the difficulties the club has now from a segregation perspective in shifting away supporters to different locations, it will be a nightmare to keep fans apart given the various walk around open concourses in the new stands. The Atyeo is the most sensible place for away supporters at present, plus a very good way of eeking out lots of £30+ per head for well supported rivals.

The suggestion of housing away fans in the upper lansdown should be immediately dismissed. The sales for the top tier for our family area is very important to the club....building the next generation of fans. If anything cut the atyeo area in half....stupid idea to have away fans in the lansdown stand of all places...

I honestly don’t think he’s taking a power grab of CEO role, RG probably had to do two jobs initially, CEO and DoF, with Nige helping him strategically.

But he now has everything defined as he wants it, Recruitment, Academy, First Team, Medical.  I think they’ve made a good choice in Manning, and they’ve done it at time where he’s been set-up to succeed, because the foundations are laid.  I think LM knows that too.  He doesn’t need to change too much.

But Tins will be judged totally on this.

It certainly is Tinnion's Bus now....

  4. Ashton and myself attended tonight (not media for me tonight, just a fan)

Not a great deal of 'new information' of where we are heading into January's transfer window.

Only a few 'younger supporters' attended tonight and as we walked in, Liam was right behind us on arrival. A quick photo and a nice 5 minute chat with the new gaffer.

Liam was very attentive towards Ashton and came across really well. Seems a genuine bloke to be fair.....

    Results business though...

Not sure that emoji is appropriate.

For all the laughs we have had meeting players that are out on lash, Ralph Milne is the tragic side of the story. Alcoholism is no laughing matter.

The emoji relates to Ralph being in the starting 11, nothing more, nothing less. The lad had big issues as we know. I'm sure the documented interviews from his partner, who suffered physical abuse, tells the sad story.

  7. The picture of Riley celebrating a goal on the east end fence was iconic. The paper cutting used to be on the wall in Alan Roberts Newsagent. Anyone got it?

There was a Facebook post years ago with some cracking images showing lots of other City goal celebrations.

Of course Scotty's at Cardiff is probably the most iconic...

But I would love to see 'Riley on the Eastend Fence' if anyone has it or can find it...

  8. Like 90% of supporters, I wanted NP to have his contract extended but that didn't happen.

As a fanbase we are pretty patient compared to some other clubs and I will certainly give Liam my backing for the rest of this season and hopefully we will make the top 12.

I did some youtube homework on Liam before he was appointed and he loves the term 'behaviours'...

It is a term that he uses alot and I'm sure many fans have already picked up on this. It could mean alot of things but is it more that it just sounds good and in a way a 'young coach's approach' of saying, please stay on my bus?

Pearson loved the term 'collective effort' and when he had 'his team,' in place for this season, there were no players (like before) being thrown under the bus.

It will interesting over the coming weeks and months and when we hit a bad patch, I have the feeling that the term 'behaviours' will be mentioned quite a bit🤣

  9. I don't think it will be too much longer before the club announce it as Oxford are playing tonight and they will also want to announce Liam's departure sooner rather than later.

    Keep F5'ing....

I'm reporting on National League South tonight so look forward to all the fans podcasts later (FBC, 3 Peeps & OSIB) which will entertain me on my journey to Chippenham and back...

  10. What did we learn? Not a great deal...

JL thinks he knows more than DR

Money is available but not for NP

JL has ignored 'post international break' results

Fans support for NP brushed aside

No real justification to sack NP

    BT is running the show

    Onwards and Upwards 🤣

  11. Be interesting to hear Curtis this afternoon and see what questions are put forward by BBC Radio Bristol and Bristol Live.

Curtis will clearly be gutted that Nige has lost his job but as it stands, he is still an employee of the club so he wont be having a rant by any means...

Interesting also, what player will be interviewed this afternoon...

Probably the only news we will have today.

Lampard is exactly the sort of appointment the Lansdowns would make

    I don't think so...

They haven't learned a great deal since their ownership but with the Coppell and David James deals, they must have learnt something, so super football brand names isn't their style.

I think Liam Manning has much more chance. He will conform to the regime.
