A bit salty on th eLuton forum ? - referring to OTIB:

It’s a wankathon over there about Kal. A journeyman for most of his career. 18 months under NJ and his team and has one decent season in probably 12 as a pro and they think they’ve signed Rio Ferdinand. The team that took Bakinson and ruined him and I noticed O’Dowda who they signed ahead of us has now left on a free.
8th is their best ever season in the championship under the playoff system. A nothing club that’s won **** all and never will.

A lot of that is quite true to be fair!!

  2. It’s a good signing for sure. Very impressive.  Mainly played left centre back of a three last season but can clearly play left back as well. Don’t think it points to any particular formation ideas from Pearson.  From what I have seen I would say he’s more of a left back than a centre back in a flat back four though

  3. If I was offered a great job and there was a proviso that I towed the company line on something then I would do it. It’s as simple as that.  Ashton made the signings.  LJ’s signings at Sunderland show that he knows a player when he sees one. We know that Webster was his man and the same with Brownhill.  I appreciate it’s hard for some to give LJ any credit at all but as Harry says, he does deserve some.

  4. Generally I am against cashing out as you will lose over time but you have to look at each individual case.  I cashed out because £230 for me is a lot of money and I wasn’t going to let it go through the play offs anyway, plus I cashed out when Sheffield United were 7th I think.

The Liverpool bet by the lady is another example where the cash out option simply has to be taken. It’s literally a no brainer for almost everyone because of the sums involved.  That amount of money matters.  Don’t cash out for a tenner or the like, absolutely no point.

Someone’s stance on cash outs has to change when the winnings offered makes a difference to that person. If someone gave me £100k and said heads or tails, win and it’s £300k but lose and it’s zero, I would turn the offer down and take the £100k despite the odds clearly showing I should gamble.  Because £100k is a lot of money to risk.

Pricey day out innit, unless you're on a freebie.

Been told members area is collar and tailored trousers/shorts. My host is saying he's gotta get there at 09:00 as it's unreserved seating ?

You there on day three? See you at the veuve clicquot area!

No way would I go if I had to pay for it. I love test cricket more than anything but two tickets for what I’ve managed to get is about £400 I think. Just day one for me I’m afraid.  Hope your host saves you a seat so you don’t have to get their for 9am!

Somehow managed to blag a ticket in the members area at Lords on Day 3 of the first test v NZ. Anyone going?

Me and the boy in the upper mound stand with lunch and tea in the restaurant, day one.  All courtesy of my generous employers. Cannot wait. If it rains he will most probably cry.  Nice work getting in the members area. Make sure you dress up for it!

You have to remember that any rule change has be applied to the game, right down to parks level and youth football. How would your suggestion work lower than say League 1 level, where there are no academies ?

Is that true ?  I’m not sure it is.  Think they could bring that academy rule in if they wanted
