With the proposal there is no mention of the cost of watching a match on TV / online. It would be a fine balancing act whereby it would be / would not be financially beneficial for a club to allow its matches to be remotely watched live. I can’t imagine City would allow all matches to be shown live @ e.g. £10 per match. Live remote watching of matches at a higher price, combined with lower ticket prices, could result in a higher income.

The current deal is £25 per month for all games. It feels fair to me and I pay it.  Better than sky sports and BT sport at similar prices

I sympathise with your position, but it does not change my mind. I am also not in a position to attend every game, but I wouldn’t want attendances across the country to suffer as a result of my circumstances. Empty stadiums are horrible. As Covid showed us.

I don’t think it would make a massive difference to attendances. Fans can already watch every game if they know how to download a VPN. I think a trial period would be fair. Your fears may not be realised

Football is about going to the game and enjoying the atmospheres amongst like minded people. If this came in and had a significant effect on attendances it would not be football for me anymore. Please don’t give people more of an excuse to sit on their sofas with a Deliveroo.

Can’t agree with this . I can’t afford to go to games and my father can’t go for health reasons. Not everyone can attend games. This would give people who can’t go, an opportunity to never miss a game

Ok, try again: lots of posters insist that we have "always" been a selling club, whereas this is not quite the case. 99% of the time we might've been, but not always.

Yes, the game has moved on but that is separate to whether we have "always" been a selling club. I'm not trying to suggest we hang on to our brightest young players in 2022, only that the idea that we have "always" been a selling club is not entirely true.

Think you are just being pedantic aren’t you. Are you @BS4 on Tour... in disguise or just trying to steal his job!

If I was only 18 & yet I had been the 4th most selected player in the squad I’d be absolutely delighted that the bloke in charge had so much faith in me.

I fully expect us to sign an alternative RB this summer but Scott also knows what the response would be from Pearson if he ever started asking him for assurances on where he gets picked.

If I was Scott I’d be delighted with how this season has gone but also mindful of interest. If Pearson couldn’t assure me I wouldn’t be playing in a defensive role then I’d look to move

Scott as a freeish '1' in a 4-3-1-2, then out of possession him or Weimann pull wide right, Semenyo wide left might be one way to go, although Martin has done quite well this season so it's a dilemma.

If I was Scott I would be looking for assurances as to my starting position next season. Can’t be played at RWB any more

  7. Defence has improved but over the last 10 games we have still conceded the fifth most in the league

I think it’s too simplistic to say if we sort the defence then we will be challenging.  If we sort the defence then it may well mean having more men behind the ball and thus less potency on the break

With our previous good away form, it was said that all we needed to do was improve our home form. We did but our away form was then awful.

Agreed, but im not sure massengo would be a huge loss. Id like him to stay and appreciate his work rate but his goals and assists record is shocking, and his habit of giving the ball away and giving the opposition opportunities is rather upsetting. Midfield has been a major problem for us and him going would free up a place, maybe for benarous, and help out with ffp too.

I think it would be a big loss as he will go somewhere and get the consistency that he is currently lacking a bit. When he is on his game he is incredible. Just needs a bit more improvement which will come as he is young. I don’t think goals and assist stats matter that much for the kind of player he is. Every team needs a player doing the chasing and dirty work.

  9. There seems to be a new trend by thick people to think that if a solicitor defends an unsavoury character, that the solicitor is themselves unsavoury. How do these thickos propose that someone on trial gets a defence without a solicitor ? Without a defence they cannot be tried.  Try thinking it through, simpletons

Whilst I hope we can keep hold of Kalas, if losing him means we keep our better prospects and can still replace him with a decent (but cheaper) replacement, then I'm all for it. Whilst I don't think he is the reason we have been shipping goals, we do seem better defensively in the past few games without him. I do think he has just been flogged to death, and we have been seriously light at the back for a while. I also think that as a team, we are also working better together recently, so the loss of Kalas isn't as big an issue as it would have been 6 months ago.Klose will also hopefully sign an extension to take him into next season, as his experience I think is starting to show through.

On the subject of selling the prospects, Scott I think will be seen as "one to watch" until January at least, but probably next season, and Semenyo I think stays, as it seems both him and his agent are happy with how things are, so can actually see him with an improved contract, possibly a release clause if a club offers £x. If the latter hits the ground running next season though, January could be dodgy.

Han Noah I think it all depends on the contract situation, but think he stays.

If we have to sell, I think Kalas is a more likely option.

I’m convinced Massengo is off. Agreed on Kalas

everton possession stats as of 67 minutes - 13%.....

talk about playing on the break.

    Okay

Playing on the break is a style of football that often involves inviting the opposition to attack with the aim of winning possession and then attacking (breaking) quickly whilst the said opposition is vulnerable, often with few players in defence at the time.  This tactic is usually played by teams who expect to have less than 50% possession in a match.

  12. The two biggest things we can do to help towards FFP which wouldn’t weaken is to find homes for Wells and Palmer.  This is a must.  The next one which is more arguable as would weaken us is to sell Kalas.

I can’t understand anyone who wants to keep Wells considering his lack of impact this season and huge wages.
