  1. oh the media will love this and the suits upstairs especially
  2. It's a shame as we have been average and it will mask over an average performance. The media will be on the massive hype bandwagon pre World cup now too. Our tactics are still too negative and not good enough imo
  3. As I said the other day, we haven't evolved our tactics since 2018 and still have most of that side still playing. He refuses to change and has been found out. We're done with this style of football, our talent up the attacking end is too good for this style.
  4. Worst of all the media will hammer the fans for slating St. Gareth of Southgate who can do no wrong. It aint good enough, you cant keep living in the past
  5. A rebuild based more on corporatism than for the fans imo. Much better home games would be played at Elland Road, Villa Park, St James Park, Old Trafford etc They were the only side looking to make something happen. We have been waiting for the break all game. Chances came from counter attacks, nothing else
  6. That is wishful thinking. Sir Gareth is probably thinking of protecting a 1-0 defeat as we speak
  7. Germany take a deserved lead. England tactics: Wait for Sterling to sprint passed their defence and hope.
  8. Why are the tactics for us to be counter attacking? We have an abundance of attacking talent simply not being used at all.
  9. Pope is a good keeper but his distribution is shocking. No idea why he's playing
  10. This is what I foresee too. I can see us really struggling in the Group to be honest and I think Iran, USA and Wales are all capable of beating us. We really do look out of sorts. Similar to City in the last 3 months of Holden's reign
  11. Regarding 2018 WC and Euro 2020 I'll start.. It was easy for England in 2018. I think it was the lowest expectation the Nation had towards the national team since the 1980s, we had a relatively easy group which we succeeded from and we rode the underdogs luck and crest of a wave. Euro 2020 we played 6 out of 7 games at Wembley and did quite well, we got the job done but when it came to when it mattered it was Southgate's negative approach which cost us. He is a reactive Manager. I know fans like to point out previous but this is the now, he aint good enough and his squad selections and team selections are quite simply baffling at times. Raymond Domenech got France to a World Cup final and is regarded the worst France manager ever. We need to stop reminiscing on the last two tournaments as sadly they were also failures, no matter how you look at it, we didn't win and that was down to Southgate.
  12. The embarassing thing is UK media will be in full swing during the next 2 months hyping up our chances. He has been hugely protected by our media We have zero chance with him in charge
  13. Southgate hasn't evolved our tactics and style at all. Been found out

    Weimann

There was a home game in August when I was watching Weimann run and at times he looked to be struggling. It may have been an ongoing issue since the start of the season and it has finally caught up with him. Let's hope it was just a precaution, but if not we can still be ok
  15. Glad i'm not the only one who has thought this for a while. The home game vs Huddersfield was a continuous waste of about 10 throw ins deep in their half in the 1st half. No one making an option at all and just going back to the keeper. Really bad.
  16. Those who wanted him out clearly never watched us when he first took over. We were an utter shambolic mess and had it not us having just enough points on the board already we'd have been relegated in 2021. Some fans don't watch us and just look at the result and assume we are not great, but you could see steady progress during the course of last season and a big improvement on performances going into this season. Those who wanted him sacked were obviously clueless at the mess he walked into in the first place. It was always going to take time to assemble a decent enough side to at least challenge and imprint a style onto the team. I am so glad we have Pearson as Manager
  17. I think something more going on there than meets the eye. They haven't had that bad of a start. Morison comes across very direct and abrupt and maybe has had a few choice words with the owners or fallen out with some of the players
  18. Not happy with 2 away fixtures at Norwich and Burnley in 4 days but also how sloppy we have been in possession today
  19. Been woeful this half to be honest. So wasteful when we've had the ball. Bentley not had a great game either
  20. When questioned on the City job in January 2016 he said Bristol is a big City, or words to that effect. I think he saw us as massive potential for him to be able to build the foundations he built at Leicester. I don't think he'd leave at this stage.
  21. Can see Leicester going for Postecoglou at Celtic.
  22. It frustrated me how many times he lost the ball in the final 10 minutes. I think he needs to calm down a tad and this may improve his decision making process when making the right pass. By comparison - James and Scott are miles ahead in terms of passing ability
