  1. I totally agree. He fell upon Reid being a striker as we had no strikers in pre season. It worked. Diedhiou got injured in October? That was when we played our best football, when he was injured, because we were forced to play without a target man. When he came back from injury LJ reverted to what he wanted, pragmatism and boring football, imo. I will never forget the 1-0 hammering at home to Brentford in the April of that season, they played us off the park, brilliant to watch from them. I hope we end up being a Brentford in style and not an end of season 17/18 City.
  2. Good, glad they beat Reading 3-0 who are for me, in a false position from what I've seen of them.
  3. I will accept losses providing we keep playing with a style that can be improved and progressed. Long term it will work out for us I think. I still think we're only at the beginning of the process under NP and errors will happen. Just enjoy the ride, we'll win some great games this season and lose in frustrating circumstances. Long term this style of football is how we need to play to be successful in this League. It took Brentford about 3 or 4 years of this style of play to become a success.
  4. He needs to stay in his position, move him anywhere else and our performance levels will drop. That is all
  5. The moment Naismith is moved is the moment our performances go down hill. He needs to stay in that position as it suits how we are wanting to play. It's working so far - 7th in the League. Seen stuff flying around like we will go down if we don't improve defensively, some really reactionary bizarre things to come out with. Glad i'm not them
  6. A message to Nige: Please ignore the ignorant fans on Twitter dismissing us because of bad defending and calling for Naismith to be dropped. They do not represent the majority. Thought we were good tonight, unlucky. We will get better too

Each to their own, we were pretty even with QPR i'd have said. We both finished on 83 points in 02/03 then in 03/04 1 point between us. It was a hard league back then, even though we had a good side and I think we should have been promoted as we were certainly better than Brighton.

QPR had a good squad for that level. Kevin Gallen, Gareth Ainsworth, Paul Furlong, Marc Bircham, Martin Rowlands, Danny Shittu and Jamie Cureton were players who were playing beneath their level at that time. The only thing I'd say about that City side is which player really kicked on at the higher level to do well? Carey? Hill?
  9. Some of Juve's transfer business has been eyebrow raising over the last 3/4 years. Some really strange decisions have been made. Coupled with the fact they've lost all momentum in terms of Serie A titles and CL challengers. For the neutral it makes for a more exciting league where most teams can beat anyone (Udinese 4-0 Roma). Atalanta having a great start to the season..
  10. James Richardson is among one of the greatest Football presenters of all time, he is the presenting version of Peter Drury for me. A legend Hell of a game that was last night

I'm sure Aaron Brown picked up a horrible injury in a 2-0 defeat to Oldham at AG infront of the EE. We were woeful that day after that

It was the 0-0 at home to Brighton, 3-2 defeat at Luton and 3 defeats in a row in the March that did us over. All we needed was to not drop 2 points 01-02 and 02-03 saw similar end of season collapses
  13. It really does look like they are picking on Football
  14. Bristol vs Bath is happening tomorrow then at 5:30. What a farce. Football being totally shat on as usual by the people in charge of it
  15. You tell that to the thousands of people who use sport as an escape from reality and mental health problems. A death of a person should not lead to the whole country coming to a complete halt and nor do I think the Queen would have wanted this. I absolutely despair with this Country sometimes
  16. May as well lockdown until October out of respect
  17. Yeah best to, out of respect and all that.
  18. This is sadly what I instantly think of. Sorry if it offends people but some just aren't particularly bothered about the royal family
  19. On a pure selfish City perspective this isn't good news. We travel to Norwich and Burnley in the next week and then have an international break. We have been gathering some momentum, especially at home games. No home match for us for a month.
  20. Ridiculous decision. This country can be very backwards at times.
  21. I guess all us peasants just have to sit in dark rooms and sulk all weekend. I just think life should somewhat continue as normal, but be respectful of others at this time. I don't see what good stopping leisurely activities is going to do other than bring the general mood of the Country down.
