  1. Not only is he not a good player, I think he was a bad egg in the dressing room and Pearson wanted rid
  2. He is a handful, always has been whenever we've faced him. Reading actually have good forward options in Meite, Joao, Long and Ince. Still take our forwards though. A mix of young and hungry and experience
  3. Cannot wait for Man United vs Arsenal when we all know United will get some sort of lucky VAR call in their favour (Rashford vs Liverpool for example).
  4. Surely their fans must be a bit worried only getting 2 points at home against FGR, Shrewsbury and Morecambe. Can see a big club like Sheff Wed or Derby giving them a hammering
  5. Thought we were fantastic today and 3-2 flattered Blackburn. It's a good time to be a Red again
  6. The stewards outside the Ground are absolute jobsworths, ushering people to walk a certain way into the ground and asking for tickets. Just causing needless issues enjoying their little power trip they have.
  7. It is clear he was signed with the intent of us playing out from the back. 80% of the time he is fantastic at it. If he makes a mistake then so be it, that's clearly how we are aiming to set up most games and i'm all for it as that's what I'd rather watch than long ball. Sometimes just needs to not be too casual and just hit it to the corners when leading late on in games.
  8. Not sure what you were watching last night. Wells had a great game and a better game than Conway. Quite comfortably too. I think Conway needs dropping a game or two to keep him fresh and hungry.
  9. Won't effect them at all. The money they receive overseas far outweighs whatever revenue they get from UK TV rights
  10. The Prem is the Super League in every way, other than the name. Hence why Real Madrid and Barca wanted a slice
  11. Tammy was a brilliant hold up player, finisher in and around the box but I rarely recall him picking the ball up from deep, running at defenders and powering shots passed goalkeepers. Different type of striker I suppose but he was brilliant at what he did and still does. Semenyo is of the same type as an Akinbiyi and Lita - Pace, power, dribbling. At this level it's devastating.
  12. Semenyo is a hybrid of Ade Akinbiyi and Leroy Lita. It is freightening to think what he could potentially go on to become if he continues to improve.
  13. On City tonight i'm unsure whether it was a lack of movement from forward players, whether Sykes was not giving the forwards enough time to make a move or the aim was to just slowly retain the ball. I suppose it if it just throw ins to complain about then i'll take that.
  14. Thought we did play ok tonight and just about edged it but we gave them some soft chances which they did not take. Luckily we have some of the best Strikers in the League. Some observations of mine: Throw ins down the right hand channel kept going all the way back to the keeper so we were surrendering an advantage and slowing things down too much. Too slow to spot the runs of the forwards at times, either being overly patient or not spotting the runs being made. Anyway a good win and we're playing well currently.
  15. This and this is why I would never take what FFT ever say when it comes to Bristol City. They have never been complimentary about us, about anything from what I remember when I used to actually read it about 10 years ago.
  16. It's odd I've read bits on their forum and many claim they had been the better side and should have beaten us. Not sure what game some of them were watching tbh. Found them quite direct
  17. Here we are yet another Johnson Jr super fan. Cotts - City legend
  18. A point in this League is not to be sniffed at either. We lost 3-1 at Blackpool 6 months ago. Every game is difficult
  19. I think you are being harsh on Hull. They've started very well against the teams they've faced. Too early to say where teams will finish imo
  20. He was the perfect image the club wanted at that time. Young, said the right things and was perfect for the younger age group of our support. The problem was he had a massive ego and wasn't as clever as he thought he was. I trust Pearson, we have slowly improved under him and on what budget? Not a lot. At least I go to games now expecting to be entertained too
  21. I really do not miss the Johnson days. Most of the time we were scraping wins and playing on counter attack. We have a side who actually look to effect games now and are worth getting behind. I'd take how we are playing right now above 80% of his reign
  22. Me too. They play football. We have threatening players and are not relying on the counter to open teams up. We are effecting games much more. Need to cut the silly errors out though
  23. Watched the game. First half we were at least 2 goals better than them on football played. Opened them up many times. Second half I wouldn't have took off Massengo for James and we allowed them to dominate us physically for a bit and then Semenyo comes on and does what he does. Although Blackpool fans will claim they deserved a point I would argue we were worthy of the win, we looked much more composed on the ball and our movement was superb today going forward. Silly individual error cost us 2 points, but the performance was positive and we go into Wednesday's match confident I think.
