What a signing Sykes has been. No fuss about playing RB, and gets on with it. Plays it well too.

City 2 shots on target, Coventry only 1. So the half time score is obviously well deserved (haha). The best thing so far is I heard some Coventry fans went to Horfield by mistake
I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Good take from the Coventry forum, before our change of formation -
Talking about us:
"They are going to have find an extra man deeper in midfield from somewhere so that their wingbacks can get higher. Their 3 in midfield is Matty James sitting a bit deeper than the other 2 and we've got their wingbacks penned back because he can't manage the horizantal line through defensive midfield on his own. If he can't restructure those 3 in the middle he's going to have to sacrifice a striker or a centre back. Would be nice to get a goal before he does"

Crowd sound really good, despite not having much to get behind right now.

Ah, I’d forgot those 4 appearances for WBA were in the top flight.
That narrows down the list even more.
I am pretty sure both Kevin Phillips and Micahel Gray got England caps while Sunderland were still in the championship (it may have still been Div 1 then, can't remember when that changed).

Wow! Some screamers there. 3-1 England.
About 500x more entertaining then the Senior team I’d say for those not bothering to watch. Some real talent.
2 more and all of them excellent.

Unbelievable total domination from England and find themselves 1-0 down can't believe it but that's football.
Things seem to be working out now though!

Great tracking by Williams.

Could Ireland v Scotland be 'contrived' to put the Boks out?
I don't think it would be contrived as such, but it does show why the last games should be played at the same time. Irland could be losing with 10 mins or to go and then arguably they are better off letting Scotland run in more points to knock out South Africa (Ireland would be above SA because of head-to-head so the points difference doesn't matter). I not saying they would do that, but even if that was how it played out questions would be asked.

It's all rather simple-
Get promoted
Bournemouth get relegated
We buy Scott back
They would owe us a percentage of the profit too! So in effect he would be cheaper for us to buy than anyone else.

Two Amazing finishes, great to see him hit the ground running! So pleased for him! But honestly more pleased for us.

Sorry @Dollymarie. sounds like maybe Robins TV is back working. I'm going to attempt to switch back.

They’re awful!!
I don't think they're that bad, pretty professional. It's just all club in-house commentary is so biased and one-sided (ours very much included) they seem to feel the need to put a positive spin on everything as though you're not actually watching the game and can't see what's really happening.

sports-10 working well for me. Just have to listen to the Stoke commentators now. Was enjoying Tinman
You can mute the stream and have listen live on BCFC open in a different tab. Although the Audio commentary is about 10 secs ahead.

My understanding of this based on a conversation with someone ITK (Admitabley about 10 years ago) is that 1. Managers often want a wetter surface so the ball moves faster for passing etc. and 2. (main reason) Drying out has to be slow. If someone slides heavily, and the surface is dry but the roots wet the turf tears the roots and damages them - it's then much harder to repair and get the repair to knit back to the rest of the surface. If everything is moist then the turf comes up as one piece and roots tend to be pulled up but intact and can be placed back in and/or repaired. Not sure I explained that well
