  1. It’s currently right below your post.
  2. No. The father’s name is Widdrington, or similar, and he has a more direct footballing role; head of loans or something of that nature.
  3. From the Greek, like many medical terms.
  4. To be fair, you can understand why they are angry: Did you forget all the circumstances regarding his sale? The context of it? The release fee? The fact it was deliberately left as late as possible in the window to prevent us signing a replacement - purely to get one over on us on behalf of his new employer? Yes, he’s a footballer earning a living. He was a footballer who could have comfortably got a deal probably at plenty of other clubs, and he chose to totally betray everyone who had helped him in his journey, from DC who plucked him out of forest green reserves to the fans who stuck with him despite not scoring for about 12 games. Then, after all that he openly mocks us and tries to wind our fans up, Yes, commercial decision. Defrauding pensioners is a commercial decision - those fraudsters have families to feed too. Hell, Judas had mouths to feed when he picked up those pieces of silver. It’s only football at the end of the day, it’s a game, but Taylor knew full well what he was doing, and chose the money. It wasn’t his one chance, he had years of decent contracts ahead but he chose the one thing which would completely screw all his team mates and supporters - all the little kids who got Taylor shirts and idolised him. He had a right to play for whoever he liked but we have a right to dislike him, and I fully intend to exercise that right. After all, we paid his wages for about 4 years
  5. Scared of the Rovers fans' abuse according to their forum....?.
  6. A season or so ago, he was on loan at Doncaster and either scored or assisted with a goal against Rovers and was abused for his apparently exaggerated celebration.
  7. Lots of calls for MV to receive a 5 place grid penalty for Qatar next weekend. Surely, if MV is to be penalised, and, based on this new footage, I am not convinced he should or will be, a retrospective 5 second penalty for this race would be more equitable and, ironically, more beneficial to Mercedes as it would demote MV to third, thus depriving him of three points and giving Bottas/Mercedes three extra points.
  8. I’ve not seen the TV article to which you refer, but I assume they made no comparison to the French handball against Ireland.
  9. Unless I am mistaken, everybody genuinely concerned understands and accepts that 'Big Nige' is currently endeavouring to overcome a second bout of this awful disease that is COVID, and I believe there comes a time when one must just be patient and leave him to recuperate as best he can without constantly prying in to what, surely, is his personal business. Just accept it: Nigel Pearson is unwell - and, Please, no distasteful comparisons to the late Jeffrey Bernard.
  10. Indeed, he was, but, according to Sports Mole, he was in goal for South Africa - see my earlier screen shot.
  11. He may well have done and, of course, the prize money is greater. Williams, however, was a smaller team (financially) than Mercedes or Red Bull, and I remain convinced that the latter two would prefer the prestige and, consequently, the publicity and it’s own associated revenue that accompanies a F1 championship winner driving under their flag.
  12. Surely the prestige is in the driver’s Championship.
  13. To add balance to my previous post, here is coverage of the match in question. Everybody seems quite happy to me. https://www.skysports.com/cricket/news/12146/12469111/michael-vaughan-the-2009-yorkshire-match-in-which-azeem-rafiq-alleges-ex-england-captain-made-racist-remark
  14. From the outset, I confess to having very limited understanding of FFP nor, moreover, any knowledge whatsoever about City's true financial position iro same. What intrigues me, however, is that, if I understand things correctly, even if City were interested in signing the injury-prone Andy Carroll, they would be unable to do so for FFP reasons. Reading, however, currently under a transfer embargo so, presumably, in a worse financial state than City, can apparently sign him without a care in the world, to add to their earlier Premier League signings. What important point am I missing?
  15. If he manages to keep Norwich up at the expense of Newcastle, I shall be happy.
  16. I am fully aware that one picture does not necessarily always paint a thousand words, or even a true version of the facts, but does anybody else get the impression that MV is gritting his teeth as he is awarding the cap to Adil Rashid?
  17. It was suggested that, at the moment Sidwell shot, RO'D was not watching the game, but, rather, was looking up at the sky at the spectacular firework display going off outside the stadium.
  18. Perhaps, but he is batting quite (too) well 51NO.
  19. I Can’t Explain, I’m a Boy!
  20. Wonderful, no Substitute for humour.
  21. Hmmm. Nantes appointed Mark McKay, son of the charming, former football agent, Willie, to arrange Sala’s transfer for a fee apparently amounting to 10% of the transfer fee, so a not insignificant figure in the region of £1.5M. I mentioned that Willie McKay was an ex football agent (I am sure the reasons are available on Google) so, of course, as an ex agent, he would (should) have had no involvement whatsoever in this transfer. Except, strangely, his name came up frequently in the recent Court proceedings, significantly in relation to the flight where, apparently, he was most insistent that it took place as soon as possible, so urgently, in fact, that his usual pilot, who was unavailable as he was on holiday in France with his wife, was coerced to arrange for another pilot known to him, a pilot lacking both the necessary flying qualifications and night flying experience, to fly a single engined plane, without night flying instruments, in darkness, over the English Channel. I wonder why an ex football agent, a discredited one it should be added, might get involved in such an event? Surely Willie wasn’t just using his son, Mark, as a screen to enable him to continue working as an agent. Whilst I do not want to go too deeply in to the laws of agency, which, incidentally, are subtly different in France, I suspect (hope) that, as this tragic tale unfolds, a clear link will be found between Willie and Mark McKay, the French agents (Yes, other agents were involved) and, ultimately, Nantes - there are some quite unsavoury characters in this story. I would stress that I remain convinced that Sala was contracted to Cardiff at the time of this tragic accident - the contract was signed by all the relevant parties and the transfer was registered by FIFA - but I remain to be convinced that Nantes and/or their agents had no involvement in the ill-fated flight itself. If Cardiff or, indeed, any other club had been informed fully and truthfully as to the details of the plane and pilot, I doubt they would have authorised the flight. Had they done so, in the knowledge that the flight was effectively unauthorised as the pilot was both unqualified and insufficiently experienced to undertake such a nighttime flight, I am not sure whether any subsequent insurance claim would have been entertained.
  22. So, that was you was it, you bastard! I always wondered who exposed me.
