Firstly, what exactly is meant by free? ‘For fans: We propose free viewing of all Super League matches’ Does this mean ‘free to air’, i.e. available on BBC or ITV, or on satellite/cable TV (which still requires a paid subscription), but not ‘pay per view’? Whatever, ‘free to air’ or ‘free’ satellite/cable, it will inevitably change once (they hope) people become interested. Secondly, in so far as it concerns English football, i.e. The Premier League, instead of becoming embroiled in a long, drawn out legal process, why can’t they just say to teams that they are free to join should they wish, but the fixture list, be it League matches, FA or League Cups, will not change to accommodate you. Accordingly, should you find yourself engaged in a Super League match that clashes with a Premier League match, that is your concern and your concern only. It is for you to decide whether or not to fulfil the PL fixture, with a reserve team if need be, or to forfeit the three points available, in addition to incurring the accompanying fines etc. Our League, our rules….

I note that you are using the tekniccal spelling of his name, but I agree with your comment and also question why he has effectively been promoted to a position for which he proved unequivocally unsuitable just a few (Well, almost twenty) years ago. I think it is a great shame that he now appears to have vacated a position in which he has achieved some impressive successes, and I just hope that the Club don't pay for what I consider to be a series of extremely questionable, short-sighted and, dare I say, impetuous decisions.

A bargain for a player who now knows the Club and whose value must surely now be in excess of the original £2M price, especially having already effectively made a down payment of £700K.

Back in the early 18th Century, the Kingdoms of England (which then included Wales) and Scotland unified and signed a Treaty to form the Kingdom of Great Britain, later incorporating Ireland to form the State of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, encompassing all four (Home) Nations or Countries. England and ScotIand are different Countries (each with their own jurisdictions - don't get me started on the reasons why Scottish MPs can vote in the UK Government, whereas English MPs have no such rights in the Scottish Government), although both form part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. I believe, therefore, that RM travelled from the north-east of one Country (Scotland) to the south-west of another Country (England). As you were.
