  1. When he was fouled as he was about to pass it?
  2. First team coach and U23's coach with NP moving to DOF?
  3. Why don't you think that Atkinson can't follow the Webster route? He is putting in these sort of performances after 1 season at league 1 level and about 30 Championship games. Imagine what he could be like after another full season at this level.
  4. Astounding today, superb in defence and attack. With 5 minutes to go he created a chance by pressing halfway in the opposition half. He was my man of the match.
  5. Surprise, Surprise, Sky so busy showing how wonderful Sheff Utd are they missed the ******* goal.
  6. I don't get involved in match day threads usually, but just thought I would pop in to say, God Sky Commentators love Sheffield United don't they? You would think we were playing Liverpool or Man City the way they go on.
  7. I wonder how many of those who were "never going again while Barton is Manager" are there today?
  8. Results going their way to guarantee them the play offs at a minimum as it stands. Swindle losing at home, Salford drawing with Barrow, Newport Losing.
  9. He was there all through the '80s as well. Their best table was the one by the door, so the older guys who wanted to play for money would try and kick us off it if we got there first. He would come over and try to tell them off which was nice, but also a bit annoying as we knew that if we held out long enough they would give us anything up to a tenner to move. An hour of lights was only 60p so we could make a nice profit.
  10. The thing about Sproule was that you wouldn't be able to run away from him. I don't think anyone has mentioned John Emmanuel, I wish I had been at the Hawthorns when he put Willie Johnston to sleep with a right hook. I am sure I have posted this before but the report in the Telegraph of that incident was brilliant, from memory it was... "Emmanuel took the ball from Johnston with a hard but fair tackle. Johnston, incensed at not getting a free kick chased Emmanuel pummeling him in the back. When Johnston came round, the referee sent them both off." ?
  11. My Heart's in the Right Place - Lake Street Drive
  12. I am sure on the previous occasion he was here, I thought he was actually one of the best we have had this season. (it's a low bar)
  13. Taylor Moore strikes me as one of those who has interests outside the game and finds concentrating on one thing for 90+ minutes a challenge. I wonder if he has deeper issues as well, didn't he admit to having therapy sessions earlier in his time here?
  14. I am sure they will be glued to their TV tonight counting all the empty seats at the gate, laughing about how our ground is too big for us, conveniently forgetting that - it is on TV; on a Bank Holiday Monday evening; That a lot of those empty seats will have been sold; It's a dead rubber for us; It will still be around twice their "sold out" stadium capacity.
  15. Yes Dawid Malan had that extra bit of class and experience to steady the innings at an important time. I am still positive about the Gloucestershire squad though, looking forward to Dent and Harris opening together and David Payne's return.
  16. Sometimes on here you wish you hadn't started a thread.........
  17. I am great believer in things going in cycles, I am always thinking the good times are coming around again. Looking forward to seeing the next generation come through too.
  18. Two wickets down but Glos seem to be relying on scoreboard pressure to get the next wicket. Higgins bowling without a slip can't have happened often?
  19. Not Western fans then? Nor fans of Elvis Costello? https://youtu.be/c7bZNShqoVQ
  20. So it's 211 in 60, I think the pitch is easy enough that York's can keep pushing even if they lose wickets steadily, you would have to have them odds on with the draw 2nd favourite right now.
  21. Actually managing to take some time out of the game and add a few runs, it could turn into another nail biter like last week. Great innings by James Bracey, 3 hundreds in recent innings must get England looking again even as a specialist batter.
  22. Two wickets in two overs may have turned the game to a Yorkshire win.
  23. We seem to have the opposite problem at Bristol, the two batting now are making a 4th day pitch look easy, there doesn't even seem to be any foot holes to exploit for Gohar. The only time wickets look likely to fall are first thing on a cloudy day, other than poor batting or an exceptional ball.
  24. Supplement maybe? I am told that Curtis is popular but overworked, since the other two left (Downing is considered a big miss by the players surprisingly). Alex Ball apparently doesn't have the gravitas needed for some of the more experienced pros.
  25. Best scenario if we are to take the draw, it might be forced upon us by the natural fall of wickets though. Braces is bang in form though and Gohar is really impressive in the way he has come into English conditions.
