  1. Take it to the Bridge - Crazy Town
  2. I had a reminder email over the weekend regarding my Rewards Balance with my season ticket. I thought I would have a look around the store on Saturday and see if I can find anything worth spending it on, then I spotted this at the bottom of the email. "Please note all Rewards earned over the course of the season must be spent by Friday, April 29th, 2022." So presumably they don't want people shopping in the store on a Saturday and actually being able to check out the quality of their merchandise.
  3. As much as I loved the team of the 70"s it was definitely a case of the whole being greater than the sum of its part's.We had occasional individuals like Cheese or Whitehead that would stand out, but it was all team ethic under Dicks. Whitehead was sold and Cheese would have gone somewhere if he had remained fit. Gerry Gow was wanted by Don Revie at Leeds, but he went to the England job so that never happened. We were also very good payers in that era, we had to be to compete, and there was no FFP.
  4. If they come down they will be absolutely desperate to get back, there is no way they can afford to fall so far behind Liverpool and the 2 Manchester clubs. They will be losing a lot of names anyway, they can wave goodbye to the new ground as well I expect, they could be in for some very tough years.
  5. Instead of Falling - The Shapeshifters
  6. I think the problem with just giving players away mid contract is how it effects their value in the previous seasons? It's a shame with Wells as he apparently is very influential off the pitch, but clearly at a price we can't really afford.
  7. The sell on's are as you say very much bonus money, although to be fair that's why we put them in in the first place. I think the key will be whether we will want to do our business early or play a brinkmanship game, e.g. if we think that one of those sell on deals will go through, could we hold on to the "crown jewels" until deadline day?
  8. I think it's more likely they are booing Everton off don't you?
  9. You and me both M, I never got to Goodison in the good old days. Also an easy sell of a weekend away for me as it's Mrs PSR's favourite city's to visit.
  10. I am sorry that I don't have the memory to be able to say when, but Kelly definitely played as a centre back in at least two games the season before we sold him. One of those games he was so good, (I think it was against one of the ex prem clubs) I thought it was probably the display that got him his move.
  11. I know there was a thread on this sometime back and @Mr Popodopolous, @Davefevsand some of the finance savvy posters had their say, but I thought it might be a time to resurrect the conversation, with questions about the club having to sell the kids. My hope is that they will be able to show that we can be within FFP without selling the crown jewels. How would it look if we were for example able to: - * Sell Kalas for a 7 figure fee and save on his wages. * Sell/giveaway Moore and Bakinson * Sell/giveaway Wells (not sure we should) * Somehow find a suitor for Palmer on loan with a hefty bit of help on wages. * Release O'Dowda and save on his wages I know I am being vague and probably missing issues around amortisation over contract lengths etc, but hopefully someone can show a positive scenario where we perhaps only lose HNM at worst.
  12. The commentators kept saying it was full even though it plainly wasn't. Why do they do that stuff?
  13. With Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal to play in their run in.
  14. Feels like the ladies are on the beach at the moment.
  15. Rocket Fuel - DJ Shadow ft De La Soul. (Should be the music they play over the video montage at the Gate before the game)
  16. 1 from 2 so far. Two from four, for you and on for a full house.
  17. Really? he listed half a dozen things that are a lasting legacy and then said he won't leave one. Every time I see post like that, my thoughts turn to this https://youtu.be/Qc7HmhrgTuQ
  18. It's something that's worked for years in football, teams have used players like Sheringham or Crouch or Dublin as a focal point. Mixing and matching different talents into different formations is fundamental to coaching and Management. I don't see that as limiting at all.
  19. May I ask what you think that weird little emoji means, because to me it says "smug self-opiniated dick", but maybe it's something else because you seem to use it in different ways. Either way it's extremely annoying.
  20. Without revealing my source, I can say that Klose, King, Wells and Weimann are particular favourites of the younger players for their help advice and support, Martin apparently is great off the pitch but a bit of a moaner on it. James is the one that everyone thinks will be a Manager though. I have to say that Martin has been excellent in the last couple of games, the work he has put in and the way he has been linking play is as good as I have seen since..... well ever really.
