Bristol City 1 (Whitehead) Portsmouth 0.
What a night.
Was a wonderful night, we lost the last game of the season at home to Notts County at AG a few days later

Wasn't Jeffrey Archer linked with the sags back in the day?
Harvey Proctor was another one

Old quiz question, his name reversed used to be a goalkeeper for Man Utd & Scotland
There are another two examples of this where a footballers name reversed gives you the name of another footballer, anyone know them ?

He was a great winger

Oh dear Thangham, what were you thinking?!
My MP for the past nine years and really popular locally. I certainly voted for her.
Bad show by her party research staff though, have they not realised that ~98% of her constituents, even those of us who live in spitting distance of the Tinpottery, are anything but supporters of that shower? More City than gas in this neighbourhood.
Such trivia wouldn't sway my vote in a general election, but what a lack of judgement from a senior politician.
Anyway, as it happens, due to the boundary changes I believe Thangham has been moved to contest the new Bristol Central constituency at the next election, where there's a good chance she will lose out to the Green candidate. Unless the huge Sag vote can save her
I know the greens are popular at local level but can’t see that support holding up in a general election, what is it with Bristol politicians throwing their weight behind the Gas? Used to be the horse faced MP Leslie ? Also our useless Mayor and now Thangam

Also we get bigger home crowds than them and we’re shite and there’s only a few teams in league 2 that bring 500 or more.
To be fair your attendances have held up well this season considering the dross you’ve had to put up with

Millwall geezer got run over by the BH that day. Probably the craziest day at football I ever witnessed, including all the England away games I went to. Everyone knew Millwall were coming down in numbers. Bristol City were a rated firm in those days which is why Millwall, Pompey etc came to Bristol.
All seems surreal compared to AG nowadays, but that’s progress I suppose.I think it was by the London Inn unless there were two ran over !!!

hmm, I'd like to think so.
It's not just that though. Because of that stupid SKY deal, I don't know if I can actually attend any games.
I'm really ****** off about SKY
I agree, i could make every game if it was Saturday 3pm, i must of missed about 6 games this season due to dopey K.O. times/days

Remember him playing for us, good to see him still playing to a decent standard
He's made a decent living from football, spent most of his career in the 4th division & Conference

The system will go into melt-down on Monday when everyone on here who says they're undecided will decide to re-new, we all know that our love for our team is unquestionable, go on, you know you want to

I bet Villa's keeper didn't know the rule. Great pen keeper but what an absolute clown. Could have cost them everything!!
Didn't he win Argentina the world cup with the same sort of antics ?

Realistically stayed up by winning
In reality a draw isn't enough for Taunton either, otherwise they have to not only beat Hemel Hempstead on Saturday but also better turn a 4 goal, goal difference over Eastbourne
Eastbourne have really turned it around in the last 5 games, they looked doomed a couple of weeks ago, third in the table on current form

Went last Autumn, my Mrs loved the Gothic monastery, the time out food market by the station was great also just sitting on the front with a cheeky bottle of Chablis at sundown was quite relaxing Personally i could of sat on the trams all day going up and down those steep hills rather than having to do all the cultural things with Mrs Tom !!!

Not in the National itself. IMO all Steeplechasing should be stopped.
Two horses have died during Ladies Day at the Grand National Festival.
Both horses fell at jumps and were treated on the track, at Aintree Race Course in Liverpool.
Giovinco fell at the final fence of the Mildmay Novices' Chase just before 2pm, and required treatment on the track.
He was treated by vets for an extended time, but could not be saved from the injuries sustained in the fall.
Giovinco was trained by two-time Grand National winner Lucinda Russell, and was seven years old.
A second horse, Pikar, was killed when he broke his neck after a fall, campaign group Animal Aid said.
Pikar, ridden by Stephen Mulqueen and trained at Dan Skelton's yard, fell at the second last hurdle in the last race of the day.
It's a massive moral dilemma for me as i am a big animal lover but also love jump racing (no interest in flat racing)
