I don’t necessarily agree with the club taking away printed tickets.
But the world is constantly changing and evolving. The internet didn’t exist 30 years ago: there was a time you didn’t know how to use it, but here you are using it to converse with strangers across the globe.
Rather than throwing your toys out of the pram and punishing yourself but not buying a season ticket, why not open your mind to learning a new skill that will help you keep up with life in the 21st century - as you evidently have done previously?
Thanks

Yes looks like we are now cashless and paperless.
Oh well that will count me out then should i ever need a ticket, no idea what PDF is or means and the only wallet i have carries £10 notes, if i can't get a physical season ticket again for next season i won't be renewing

Is it bollux ..... its relevant and is pointing out how history repeated itself over a 9 year period.
That '14/15 season was absolutely brilliant and we had that same sort of momentum as we'd had under GJ in our Play-Off season, or more recently you could look at the likes of Ipswich this season. Shows the big difference when a manager is backed by the owner, compared to one who isn't. Shall I just also point out the sale of Alex Scott and not allowing it to be reinvested in the squad and instead, creating a very large nest-egg as another comparison?
FFS, I started this thread as I do every year on April 7th (It’s a very special date on a personal level), i give up

I went down to the Lloyds Amphitheatre where the team were appearing after the promotion. I couldn't believe it When Steve Lansdown got on the mic to speak to the fans, when he was spouting about our wonderful season, but somehow managed to avoid giving any credit or acknowledgement to Cotts for his part in it. I thought at the time it was really odd and classless how Cotts was blanked, and the events of the subsequent season showed Lansdown's actions were definitely no accident. It seemed pretty obvious Lansdown couldn't stand him and it seems to be a very similar situation with Nigel Pearson.
Ironic how two of the most popular managers with fans for decades, were actually so thoroughly disliked by the owner.
Yet another thread being hijacked

This, 100%. I’d be spitting feathers at the council for allowing the developers to have acted how they have and the developers themselves. The play area on one end of Dowsell that’s been unfinished for a year, the flags by the old peoples home falling and just left there by the builders, the roads not being surfaced properly and the temporary fencing not being removed is just a very short list. And bizarrely having no bins on the estate is just weird.
You can do a 10k round LGV now. To only be served by one Sainsbury’s and having no pub, community facilities or schools is just criminal and does the community no favours
Sounds awful, I can see a film coming up with Kurt Russell “Escape from Yate”

It wasn't a togetherness throughout the club though. The hierarchy couldn't stand him. I had it on very good authority that they thought that he was a 'nutter' and a nightmare to work with.
Which basically translates as he wouldn't tolerate their bullshit and suck up.
Fast forward nine years. Oh... here we are again!
Difference is that Cotterill may have been a bit of a 'nutter'.
Here we go again

Not many Bristolians own those houses off the Wells Road unfortunately.
Haha, i do, but you are right there aren't many Bristolians on my road, crazy prices now in Knowle, my kids can't afford here and have gone to Whitchurch (KW was good enough for me growing up, i don't know why they don't move there)

Depends what part of BS4 you mean, you can buy two houses in Yate for the cost of any of the BS4 houses on and bordering the Wells Road, Briz is sound as well, as for my old haunt KW, that's a different matter !!!!!

The town centre is a big success story and the residents love it.
Glad to hear it's more red than blue these days...
Haha, love it

Dickie Rooks was a good old-fashioned centre half, strong in the air and would clear it no-nonsense style. In this video against Charlton he scored a rare goal:
Thanks AF, really enjoyed watching that, Dickie Plumb

You clearly know your football and I like your posts, but I'm amazed that you still have so much negativity about it all
Personally I think the football on offer has been dire for many years and where we are now is no worse (or better) than in a very long time
I hope you find the spark again in the team
You can’t take him seriously if he’s saying he only stopped enjoying the football from November, where had he been for the previous five years ?
His negativity towards Manning is blinding him- 1

I would normally always prefer performance over result at any time of the season, I want to be entertained, unfortunately there has been very little ‘entertainment’ in the last five years irrespective of who the manager is, I’d like to see Manning make some brave team selections and display some bolder tactics in the last few games though I’m not sure he has the personnel to change much

Not sure why it's sad the administrators are in? Surely it's good news the club is no longer in the hands of Clarke Osborne.
I didn’t mean the administration part of things but how far Torquay have slid down the Pyramid and that slide might not be over yet

Sounds a bit like cutting your nose off to spite your face, if that's what you want fair play but it's you missing out on some great entertainment without the pressure of actually caring who wins, I find it makes a pleasant change.
No interest in Crystal Palace v Burnley, give me Southend v Dagenham any time

I watch a lot of Man City games because my son supports them aswell as him supporting us. His maternal grand father is from Manchester and is a Man City fan.
So I sit and watch the Man City games with him. Problem with that? I watch pretty much every premier league game that's on TV because I'm a football fan. This might be a shock to you, but football fans like watching football. Especially the best teams. I'll watch about 6 games this weekend plus our own.
Guess I support all those clubs too and that they are my first teams despite me not having season tickets to them clubs and never attending their games.
Each to their own, at 17.30 on a Saturday I prefer to watch the conference game on BT or whatever it’s called now than whatever Premier game is on Sky

That's absolute nonsense, any programme about pre-war Austria would be shown on BBC4 and not BBC3
