I do oppose the pedestrianisation of the city centre though. People need access to Tandy's.
Haha, and you can’t beat North Norfolk nights on a wet and windy November night

Pub options near Kennilworth Road are woeful. And to be honest it isn't much better at Stamford Bridge!
Griffin Park - now you're talking! And even the new ground has an easy walk to some lovely old pubs in Kew Village.
My favourite away ground - although I won't be travelling there this visit - is Carrow Road. Near the city centre and not too far from the station, nice waterside pubs nearby and some cracking bars and restaurants. Far away enough to be a real jaunt. I usually stay over as I'm a big fan of the city and Norfolk on general.

Ryley, Marlon and Joe, well done lads
Fair play to them, will need an upgrade on all three next season though

I see there are 400 left, I thought the allocation was 1600 so 1200 is pretty good
Be surprised if we took as many as 1200

Found it an odd vibe in there personally, went in just before Christmas. Food was nice enough, but every waiter/waitress acted like we were bothering them whenever we asked to order more drinks/sides.
Am going to Rassay myself on Friday!
I had exactly the same experience in there about 10 years ago, never been back. Most recent one i've had was Dhamaka on Clare Street, it was superb

Anywhere off the Wells Road heading South is great, some great pubs in the chew Valley as well

Barely anyone is ‘embarassed’ by the Wurzels. People cling to pillars of regional identity and they get passed on just as successfully through the generations today as they always have. A strong sense of regional identity continues to hold across the entire country from place to place and with devolution movements growing and being successfully implemented these regionalist sentiments are only getting stronger. It’s one of the things that makes England and the UK interesting. Our national identity may be a bit confused sometimes but from city to city, region to region we have such a stretch of cultures, dialect, even language. It’s a great positive way forward for pride of place in this country that most people can get behind. Which is also why the songs of the Wurzels, particularly those written by Adge Cutler, remain just as relevant as ever to folk of all ages in the West Country. He sang about life in rural Somerset, where a lot of City fans are from, and in many of those places the essence of life is much the same as it was when he sang about his experiences.
Personally i think they should keep to performing to the big eared boys on farms:
If they see a lovely field with a family having a picnic, and there's a nice pond in it, they'll fill in the pond with concrete, they'll plough the family into the field, they'll blow up the tree, and use the leaves to make a dress for their wife who's also their brother.

This may sound a little harsh but I think it’s time we left the Wurzels in the 70s. We need a new anthem, kids of today aren’t going to belt this music out.
I know I will be in the minority here.
Agreed 100% and I was around in the ‘70s !!!

That tackle at Carlisle away.
If you know, you know.
It was an unbelievable tackle, that was a good day, flight to Newcastle, hired car To Carlisle, back to Newcastle for return flight and in the Lions for last orders

I must admit I wrote that post after a few beers and had completely forgot about the depleted team that faced Cardiff that day.
But you can easily replace that Cardiff game with Blackburn away or Sheff Wed away and my point will still stand.
We have no given right to win those games but going into those games at the time we all considered us to have enough to have beaten those teams.
I suspect Leicester and Leeds fans were saying the same thing in the past 48 hours

Wednesday already sold 7,000 tickets - have asked for more!
Will be like a home game for them - as you say, think Blackburn are in big trouble - they certainly didn’t look up for the fight on Wednesday night either
I think they can and will lose their three tough games mainly because of their woeful defence, lose against Wednesday and they're down
-
I think Blackburn are in massive trouble with the games they have left, Leeds, Leicester & Coventry, their home game with Sheff' Weds' will be make or break

It’s all about risk, isn’t it?
The fact is that, under the terms of the Common Travel Area agreement, Irish and UK citizens can travel freely between the two countries without the need for a passport. That’s the case however you travel and wherever you arrive.
But the point is the “Irish and UK citizens” bit. When you arrive there’s a risk that, at the border, someone might want evidence that you’re a UK citizen and therefore have the right to travel under the CTA.
The risk of that happening is much greater at Dublin airport. Because by the time you get to the border check you’re mixed up with people arriving from places all over the world. When you arrive on a boat everyone is coming from the UK. There’s still a risk you’ll be asked to prove you’re a UK citizen, but for obvious reasons the risk is less.
And for a UK citizen I don’t think we’ve got any way of proving that other than a passport.
I don't understand why someone would take their driving licence and not their passport, why take the risk ? (unless in the unlikelihood they don't have a passport) My Mrs has an Irish passport and always flies through customs and a "welcome home greeting" while i'm queueing up with all the other plebs in passport control Thank you Brexit !!!

Big win for Plymouth. Looks like 2 out of Hudds, Sheff W and Brum going down now
Blackburn still to face Leeds, Leicester and Coventry, their big game is Sheff' Wednesday at home, play like they did the other night and they'll go down

Exactly this, how i would love to go back to AG for a day in the 70's for those big games against Liverpool, Man Utd & Leeds in front of 38,000, the atmosphere and emotion was something i've barely experienced since in anything else, it's a whole different experience nowadays and has been for a long time, i blame it on removing the old floodlights !!!
