Also, make sure you check with the airline as to what sort of ID they require you to have.

I have a feeling (or I think I read) that one carrier who has a route to the ROI acknowledged that whilst entry to the country wasn't passport specific and that they'd accept other forms of identification, as an airline, their requirement was that you'd need a passport to fly.

Pretty sure you're right when flying to ROI but certainly don't need it when sailing into Rosslare or Dun Laoghaire/Dublin

Still not seen anything which suggests this guy can take us forward and beyond.

Still worries me greatly that he's going to be allowed to shape the squad.

Has he managed to get some decent results of late? Yes so credit for that.

But the reality is its all too little too late. When it mattered he was found waning.

What people havent factored in is that the results have come against teams that dont play with a low block. It remains to be seen if he can sort that problem out.

The Sunderland performance was almost as worst as youll see and the Blackburn game was the opposite of that (with a huge helping hand from a very poor Blackburn)

It seems the issue of pressing was brought up with him, we then start pressing. The issue of not being pro active with subs was brought up with him and then he starts to be pro active with subs. He shouldn't need to be told how to do his job.

We can't afford to be a learning ground for a young 'head coach' it's just LJ all over again. Streaky and will just constantly change the plan until one works and then when it stops working will keep trying to find a new plan until he lucks upon one that does work.

He has simply not shown me what Liam Manning football looks like.

Ultimately Manning has failed this season. We are better than where we are in the league. Without results clouding my judgement, it has largely been poor, dull and difficult to watch.

He has not managed to get the maximum out of this squad (with good availability) and certainly not managed to get them out performing their ability.

We are obviously not going to sack him now and neither will we this season. But I think we should. We are looking at an October sacking in my opinion.

I fear that he will recruit players that are suited to his preferred possesion based style.

What do you do if you build an F1 car that has decent ability and potential but the driver can't extract that ability and potential? You don't rebuild the car to suit the driver do you? No you get rid of the driver and bring in someone more suited to the car and the teams philosophy.

    Like Frank Lampard ? 😬

Two games isn't form, is it? Compared to 14 games where we took less than a point per game, this is awful. In the last 18, we were on 1.2 points per game because of the uptick in form, but that is still less than average.   Over the season, we're at 1.3 ppg. I'd like to see us picking up 1.5+ ppg. That gives us a good season plus a chance of the playoffs if we can edge towards 1.6/1.7; for reference, 2+ ppg is top-4 form.

It was said with tongue firmly in cheek, I didn’t need a maths lesson

Segregation being used for Wimborne v Frome on the 20th. No away fans in the clubhouse before or after the match. Seems OTT for a division 1 south game.

Probably worried that Frome might take their end like we used to take the Town End 😃

That might be the case. Under Tomassson they were prone to the odd thrashing this year but lots of goals at both ends at other times. They may have scored a couple with him last night as they were that sort of side. Eustace has definitely tried to tighten them up judging by the lack of thrashings although you wouldn't know it from last night.

I watched on the telly when they played at Norwich earlier in the season and they battered them

Certainly not very impressive, so yeah I was hopeful of a win but they usually don't get thrashed under him is my point. Mix of them being rather poor and us pressing excellently, showing the intent when required etc IMO.

You're right, they're normally quite competitive, maybe Sammy's goals have been papering over the cracks ?

Our trip to Preston , the ground I've been to most with City , 2015 promotion run in. I do like this photo.

I seem to remember PNE's next game was against Swindon , they won 3-0 and sang the Flint said no song .

It's an interesting result in the context that a lot of people were hoping for Eustace over Manning. I wonder how he would have done here.

If Manning's team (or indeed any manager's team ) put in such an inept performance like that and made the brainless decision of leaving Hyam on the pitch they would get dog's abuse from the fans and rightly so

*Blackburn haven't really been thrashed under Eustace albeit it is a small sample size.

Sure they were not very good hut arguably some of the sides we struggled vs in February and March also weren't too good either.

    *Until tonight.

Not very impressive results, Eustace's decision not to take Hyam off at half-time while making four substitutions was also baffling.

Listening to the football cliches podcast recently - apparently some now refer to a clean sheet as a "Cleano". Let's hope our social media team don't catch on.

Good signs from our defence tonight - as you say a young back line, without Rob Dickie who has been one of our best players. Considering we're without Naismith and Atkinson (I'd forgotten all about him until somebody mentioned him earlier) it's all the more impressive to go on a run without conceding (yes...Vardy should have scored...but he didn't!)

Our defence has been good all season, only three teams with better records and they're all in the top five

Digressing slightly, but I am coming over to Bristol next week - €70 return trip with EasyJet from Paris/Lulsgate.

I shall only be bringing small hand baggage, but, as @Slippin cider mentioned above, had I wanted to bring a suitcase, it would have cost in excess of €300!

That’s nuts, it’s great if you can cram all your luggage in a ruck-sack

  12. You can always yes postage stamps !!!

    David Brent:
In fact, a postage stamp is legal tender. A bus driver would have to accept that as currency.

    Tim:
    Yeah, that'd happen.

    Gareth:
Well, if he doesn't, report him.

    Tim:
Yeah, I'll report him while I'm walking home.

    Gareth:
Get a taxi, if you've got enough stamps.

    Dawn:
Or cash 'em in at the Post Office.

    David Brent:
Shouldn't have to. Shouldn't have to.

Fair enough but how do they access cash?

My father-in-law doesn't have a card, he's down the building society every Monday drawing money out, the silly old duffer insists that it's illegal for shops not to take cash (it isn't)

When my dad was alive he never had a card yet my mum embraced it and started doing her supermarket shopping and internet banking on line when she was in her 80's

Looking at the possibility of a short trip to Edinburgh and possibly Dublin at a later date.As someone that hasn't flown in a very long time, any tips on getting the best deal in flights please. Also not a holder of a valid passport but I have eventually got around to getting one of those fancy new drivers licence with a very attractive photo of myself on.I think the drivers licence will be fine for Scotland but not sure about Ireland. Thanks for any advice.

I thought you needed a passport if flying to Dublin ? i should know as i've been there countless times but always used my passport (in saying that you don't need any ID when going to Ireland by boat)

I may be in a growing minority like you but a lot of people still don't have or want a smartphone, mine for instance only receive calls and texts it's not that I don't understand how they work or can't afford one it's just I would rather not have one, as with parking apps, it seems we are slowly being forced into getting one whether we like it or not, a bit like electric cars (but that's for another day).

All i do on my phone is make and receive calls, i bought it in Tesco 12 years ago at a tenner a month and still going strong 🙂
