My first ever game at AG was against Blackburn in 1970, we won 4-0 and Terry Bush got a hat-trick.

We didn't win any of the first 3 games after the last international break, even though it was on Sky it's only one game and we can pick up points at QPR and home to Blackburn.
Tammy has obviously been poorly so maybe he shouldn't have started, we haven't got many strikers to choose from currently though. However poor we were at least we won't have to watch rubbish games like that every week like Cardiff fans are going to.
-
Anyone reckon he might give Tammy a rest and bring him off the bench for the last 20 minutes? Wilbs or Engvall could get a runout perhaps?

Let's not forget, some people on here DID say that O Neil had form for getting sent off and losing a game for his team. Pretty sure he's the main one Johnson's directing his comment at.
I don't think so, think O'Donnell must be one and probably Flint the other. O'Neil made a rash challenge but he didn't crumble by any means.
-
At least we're not QPR fans 0-6 at home!
-
We played well up until the penalty. However O'Donnell has to be rested, Frankie's a safe pair of hands, he deserves his chance now.

Rotherham are just a bogey team eh. I know we beat em in 07 on that great day, but anytime since??
As for winning over there, I have literally no idea when the last time was!
We won 3-2 at Millmoor in Nov 1995
-
I'd be tempted to take Tomlin off and bring on Wilbs, we can't afford to go down to 10 men and Tammy might get more space to operate
-
The ref's from Yorkshire (Huddersfield), surely that's not right?
-
I'm sure the ones left out will be in the squad on Tuesday if fit
-
With our strength in depth no point in risking anybody with any kind of knock, he'll have Tammy on the bench, we'll need him more on Tuesday
-
Burton beat Wednesday so makes our win there look a better result than maybe we thought

It's the same for me. Juddering all over the place despite me having a decent enough connection to stream other stuff clearly.
I've got a fairly zippy Linux box and the Sky highlights work fine, I suspect they are in HD resolution which means a decent graphics card and a fast link required

Brownhill was far from impressive last week and the whole time he was on the field the game passed him by. Would feel better if Pack was in the middle alongside O'Neil.
Little at right back also concerning. If Matthews is that unfit makes the decision to let Ayling leave even more of a strange one given the lack of defensive cover.
If Little's shoulder injury is sorted and he's got his pace back deserves his chance.
Brownhill can't be judged on one appearance, Baker and Matthews were rubbish the first time they played last season.

Two up front today then, with only 3 strikers on the books, one of whom is 37....surely another on the way?
I'm sure he's looking to win the game by half time then one of them will go off and Wilbs on

Currently in Cornwall and enjoying a few pints of the famous Cornish local brew- Doom Bar.
Now brewed in Burton.
Let's hope by 5:00 p.m. that I've got good reason for a Tribute instead ( still brewed in the West Country)
It's Doom or Tribute time.
Proper Job!

Apparently we have played at their stadium before in a friendly according to a Burton fan:
There is only one previous occasion that I can recall that we have played Bristol City. In 1965 the Robins sold us their old floodlights, they became the first floodlights to be installed at Eton Park. Bristol City sent a team for a friendly to mark the switch-on. The score was 4-4. John Atyeo who is a Bristol City legend played that night.

Pack will be playing, one of our most consistent

Kodjia scores more with Wilbs there

LJ can't be blamed for the keeper coming out and missing a cross, we should have had a point today
-
I thought we'd cracked our home form after the 2 games Pembo was in charge (Boro and Brum) where we didn't concede but still looked dangerous going forward with plenty of movement. Now we look like conceding again and little movement up front. Also under Cotts he said max 2 touches before passing and now players are holding onto the ball too long.

I've got a feeling we might win by a couple of goals today, LJ's setting them up to attack, let's hope it doesn't backfire.

Just what so called investment the new owners will inject is still very much unclear. They don't know, nobody knows how much or how little they are actually going to invest. My feeling is (whatever happens in the court case) is very little will change in the next 6 months to a year. And my gut feeling is the blue few will get frustrated with this and will expect the moon on a stick immediately. It won't happen especially if they say there in it for the long haul. Time will tell. Nothing will change soon.
You have to remember they are involved in running a Jordanian bank so have an easy line of credit. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a Glazier-type situation where they pay of Higgs with a loan from their bank so Rovers are still in debt but to the Bank rather than Higgs. Since they run the bank they can appoint themselves to run the club and take out salary/bonus/dividends whenever they like, it would all be completely legit and it's the way Man Utd are run, they acquire the club without having to use their own money. Having seen their interview I don't think they're going to go on a spending spree, more like cut costs so the club is profitable for them. We'll only find out the truth when the first set of accounts are published (assuming they are).
Higgs has raised expectations on their intentions so he can't be blamed for selling out the club.
-
Having listened to the interview with the new owners sounds like they aren't going to splash the cash other than pay off the outstanding debts, more interested in developing from the academy. I'm not sure they're as wealthy as some think or they'd be after a bigger club than the Gas.

Not a happy hunting ground for us. If we play well then 1-1 or 2-2 is possible, if not then a 2-0 defeat on the cards. We need to score first.
