  1. I didn’t see huge amounts to fear from either side tbh and interestingly in relation to recent points on our fitness in other threads, thought both sides really ran out of steam. No corners in last 30 mins of play.

Worth a watch of today’s media interview.

Yep definitely an interesting listen cheers, I think it’s broadly how I see things ….(the foundations are built in terms of the intangible things like mentality, team spirit etc+ level of fitness etc..) and taking it up a notch is now more about executing in the moment in games more positively. That might be things like taking on a man in the wider areas, delivering a better cross or taking the ball on the half turn in the centre rather the simple ball back to a CB. Maybe there’s no need for a plan B in terms of a different style , or player (eg chuck on the big target man) if it’s not going well in a game, more a belief that our way of playing will work over the 90 mins.

  3. On the chaos theory……presumably referring to the next stage of the teams evolution once the cultures right (which it looks like we’ve now achieved) ….is a tactical shift necessary? Or is the fact the we’re fit enough to do what we do through the whole game effectively plan B for now (keep doing it and it will eventually work). Do we need a plan B?

No but as a promising young analyst they may offer Dave an unpaid internship.?

Sorry, did you say “young”? That makes me feel good ? …..I do wonder if the club have additional data sources which they might permission to the likes of Mr Fevs though, kind of quid pro quo really …

It was massively fascinating, I really didn’t know what to expect. Lovely guy too.

The big takeaways for me that are shareable (not that he told me anything top secret either), paraphrased a bit were:

    • they are massively into data, everyone is bought into it.  They don’t knee-jerk on anything, they confirm  good and bad with data.  They wouldn’t tell a player he was poor on Saturday without being able to back it up, that might be running data, touches in areas of the pitch, performance data of his opponent, etc.  And conversely they wouldn’t blow smoke up a players arse for having a good game without showing them data as to why too.  Hence no feelings of favouritism, a lot of trust as a result, even if there is obvious banter around teachers pets like Jamo!
    • how insular football / pro football can be and that they sometimes miss stuff because they are used to looking at things.  As Rennie isn’t from a football background originally, he can give a different perspective.  Nige will ask him what eleven he’d pick, it’s not just Fleming and Euell, ditto Tinnion.  He might not change, but he is keen to understand “why” they might choose a different line-up to him.  It gives him another perspective.

@Nuno Gomes He certainly didn’t think Nige was old-skool, said he was very modern in his approaches, both coaching / tactical and medical.  I guess the FoxPunter video sums up where his focus is and that’s getting the foundations laid first.

When are we gonna see chaos!!! ???  sounds like it could be fun.

Job for @Davefevs in the offing at the club then ??

That period from 63 mins when the subs were made fall into the 61-75 point above….our highest pressing intensity of the match.  No drop off from the subs, more intensity instead.  Millwall also made a sub at the same time, their intensity increased too from what it had, and their 3 subs in the final 10 minutes increased again.  But we kept our levels up.

PPDA - https://www.coachesvoice.com/cv/ppda-explained-passes-per-defensive-action/#:~:text=PPDA stands for passes per defensive action.

    A lovely read Rob.

Interesting-8.1 overall would put us pretty well placed amongst the elite European clubs, looking at the linked article (not sure how 8.1 ranks in the champ alone….)

Then….why comment on it unless you’re trolling?

I have no interest in who Taylor Swift is dating so I’d not comment on a thread of that nature. So why would you comment on a thread largely about the kit if you don’t care.

Its a bit needy and weird.

    Wait….Taylor Swift is dating? ?

    Theory ✅

    Practice ⛔

FWIW if Wolves offered City a loan with a “definite” (unconditional) obligation to buy, then they’d have to include the whole fee from now, not next summer, so wouldn’t help their FFP at all.

FWIW part 2 - City want a good sum as an upfront payment as that stops SL having to fund us.

A few years ago Fulham did similar with Harry Wilson, but the difference was Fulham’s signing after the loan was conditional on promotion.

Reckon Real London could be top 6 this year

That was nice of them ?.

I asked for the Portsmouth game, only to be told it had to be one of the others (ie hpc games), which I already had.

So I doubled up on the Swindon fixture, and gave the spare code to a friend.

My mistake for taking them at their word.

Odd, I asked for Pompey and was given code
