We are going to find out how ‘close knit’ this squad really is now because the confidence is only heading one way at the moment & we still look woefully short of leadership on the pitch with Naismith missing.
Just hoping when Naismith and Kalas return things improve defensively. As much as I think Sykes has been good, we are too poor at the back to afford to play a more attacking wing back. Wilson or Tanner need to be playing now. Focus needs to be on the defence but that’s hardly a new problem…

A lot of things are the same as last season. None of them good…

Going to have to rely on little 3/4 game winning runs I feel this season. That bit of good form we went on papered over the massive cracks. Won’t be finishing any higher than 18th. Nige still not giving me confidence he’s the guy, had a chance to turn our fortunes around but it’s back to what it’s been since he walked in, utter shite.

Bentley not allowed off his line then? Embarrassing, should be collecting that all day long.

Just can’t seem to find any rhythm in this game at the moment. Birmingham with the early goal now look comfortable with the flow. Can see this early on we need Semenyo.

Done but they might not like my answers..as per RedM above. Zero interest.
Yep, same. Couldn’t care less and the constant bombardment of it lately has put me off even more.

If he were to go who would come in to replace him? Wasn’t there talk of Richard Scudamore before we appointed Gould?

I’ve got a magic Amazon stick so have seen a few of our home games on it and all the away ones, trust me it isn’t just our commentary team who are biased. If anything other clubs are a lot worse. The Norwich and Burnley coms was a VERY tough listen. You’d think they were watching 08 Barca playing against the town drunks.
Truth is they can’t slag the players off because they probably know them personally so find it difficult to go in too hard and also the club want to avoid any negativity. For what it’s worth I always enjoy it more when Tins is on there as you can tell he is so invested in the players, especially the academy boys. He wasn’t bias towards them, was regularly telling Semenyo off for not getting in the box enough and letting JD and Weimann do the dog work.

Semenyo and HNM on at half time for Conway and Williams I feel. Maybe Wilson on too. Not going to get anything from this game without changing it up.

Naismith is rapidly becoming a liability
Yeah he’s frustrating because he shows you glimpses of quality and then within seconds he’ll stupidly put us under pressure which has on numerous times this season cost us a goal.. he really shouldn’t be the central defender, needs to be pushed out to RCB when TK returns.

Naismith needs hooking out this team Jesus Christ…. Where the ****s Kalas too? Injured or not put him in, can’t be any worse

Yeah I think if the season continues as it has so far where we are playing good football, sometimes it doesn’t go out way but you can see the lads have tried, we’ll definitely be top half. I’ll take anything from 10th-14th right now. Like others have said it’ll be next season where I think expectation levels will rise for a top 6 finish

Can see Leicester trying to take someone like Hasenhuttl/Frank who are now established prem managers with the intention of starting a new long term project with them. Pearson would be a big step back, even if he is doing a good job here with us.

I don't think.going to a top 6 club this early is going to do him any favours. Go to a prem club where he will play most weeks then the next move will be to a top team. Or stay here and play every week!
Then you’re mad. If he picks the right club like a arsenal, Tottenham or even Man City, granted there’s a risk involved but the reward is worth it. He’s not a 16 year old with no game time moving to a top 6 team. He’d be 20 with around 100 games under his belt. They’d be shelling out I’d imagine in the region of 20-30m for him so that’s not a signing they’d make for the reserves. He’d be involved and be in and around the best players/managers in the world.
I’m by no means saying it’s the best move he could make but it would be the opposite to “not doing him any favours”. Yes he’d probably get more game time at the likes of Brentford/Palace but I genuinely think who ever signs him next season is doing so with the intention to be playing regularly. If I was him I’d rather be learning under a Conte or pep and playing/training with the likes of Kane, KDB and Son than playing a few games more at a lesser team. If he backs himself like I’m pretty sure he does, he wouldn’t take a move where he wouldn’t play.

Alex Scott’s interview was telling . He was asked about playing along side James. He said, he’s so experienced & talks to me all the time during games. Coaching him through games , not that he seems to need it. . That’s why it’s much better for Scott’s development at the moment to stay where he is .
Well it does for this season. I love the lad but if he’s still with us in the championship next season then somethings wrong. Needs to be in the prem next year with or without us. Could go to a top 6 (think he’d love that spurs move) and get occasional game time but he’d easily be able to handle his own at the rest of the clubs. Another season with the likes of James, Williams and King will do him wonders and hopefully add a few more million

Honestly when we signed him I thought he’d be like a wagstaff/waghorn sort of player. Not really that effective and just a bit part player but he’s certainly holding his own at this level. Look a much better side with him in there, fitted for Wilson though as genuinely think if he gets a good run he’d be even better than Sykes which is saying something. Finally got some depth at the club!

Was scary how good he was, you’d think he was 29 in his prime.

Yeah only just seen it was Wells. Thought it was Naismiths goal.

won us the game today

We usually have pretty good starts to the season so can't say im feeling to excited just yet, however things are looking pretty bloody good. Conway is magic, what a boy.
-
Yeah we need to not even accept 15 million at this point. The World Cup coming up could see us get double. Imagine he gets 2 goals.. very good opposition, we’re looking at 20m-25m minimum. Got an absolute gem here, let us completely have somebody’s pants down if they want him. 30 million or get lost. However all that comes down to his World Cup and league goals up to that point. Just going to enjoy him while I can as he won’t be modelling next seasons kit in July

Always good to see our academy players achieving this sort of landmark. Congrats Zak! Still think he’d be useful as a DM in time, especially when Kalas returns.

Yeah Semenyo has to start now for me. If only for 60 minutes. Without doubt our best attacker overall. Must be an absolute nightmare to play against because he literally has it all. The only thing we were missing from him 12/18 months ago was finishing… that’s not a problem anymore. Weimann always has to play as well so unfortunately one of Conway and wells has to be dropped. Over to you Nige!

Going to come a point where we’ll not be in a position to keep him on. He’s had enough time to at least have a solid foundation in place, just as bad now as it was when he first took over. Although the attackers are at least playing well… all of which were at the club when he arrived
