It didn't work? That may have been our fault
Not entirely, I'm sure the ref had a hand in it somewhere.

Wasn't David Bright the guy trying to flog your TV/Scoreboard on Facebook earlier this summer?
Was he? Bloody hell, I feel sorry for whoever bought it then, it doesn't work half the time.

Smart work by Gorringe, junior heads must roll..
Earlier reports suggested Gorringe was to go as well, those reports seem to have disappeared.
'Tom, you're the CEO, who is responsible for all these **** ups?'
'Err, him over there!'
He's our very own Boris Johnson

It is a very nice flag, but why would somebody go to that time, effort and expense to get it made without first checking there/their/they’re spelling?
We're the famous Bristol Rover's and we're going to Wembly

Reviewed on “a game by game basis” - that suggests to be they are long, long way off it being done. They’re looking at months now, not games.
I did wonder about that phrasing myself. I would be amazed if it is ready for the second home game.

I'm just glad it's been made clear it wasn't our fault . I knew it wouldn't be, but my money was on the ref.

There's a part of me that imagines the board meeting going along the lines of...
'The new stand isn't going to be ready'
'Shit, really? We better get some good news out to gloss over that, tell them we have plans for a new stadium'
'Sir, I'm not sure we can get away with that one again'
'Okay, just say something about rich Arabs then, that should do it'

Well he does live south of the river, so he probably grew some extra ones.

One of the greatest blokes I’ve ever met. And the Edward Teach guy who used to post was spot on in real life too.
Well, I'm not telling him you said that!

Dr Faustus is actually very sound, he used to post on Ziderheads.
Though I can't speak for the veractity of what his mate has told him.
He is a good mate of mine and as you say he is a sound bloke- though don't ever tell him I said that- He isn't one to spout shite, but I think he is really just passing info on that he has heard.

I mentioned in a different thread that I saw Police at the Students Union, 1977?, and around the same time at the same venue, Cockney Rebel.
WAs anyone else at the Clash gig at the Locarno/Studio when Stewart Copeland was walking around filming?

Belle stars supporting Madness at colston hall in 82 I think it was
I was at that one. Saw the Smiths somewhere in Bath, cant remember where, it wasn't the Pavilion though (Saw Madness there as well) UB40 and John Cooper Clarke at St Mathias College in Fishponds, U2 at the Locarno. Saw loads at the Colston Hall like The Clash, AC/DC, but that was considered a big venue back then. I didn't see them but I'm pretty sure Adam and the Ants and Siouxsie and the Banshees played Barton Hill youth club.
I was always impressed that my sister saw Bowie on the Ziggy tour at Taunton!

I saw him when he was in Graduate.

I think there are more on this thread panic than those over on arsechat
I'm not on it, but it does seem a major talking point on here
I mean, it's a piss take thread so fair enough, but although there was a time when I took it all far too seriously, but I am way past worrying about what goes on behind the scenes at a football club.

The lack of panic about their new stand, either on their Forum of social media is amazing.
Given we can generate thousands of posts about a below-par shirt that people have the option to buy (or not) you'd think that they would be tearing their hair out at the lack of updates/photos or noise about this new stand.
Pretty sure that if it was us who had a home game in a couple of weeks and were faced with a pile of rubble questions would be asked (and probably ignored), but asked they would be.
Panic? I think you take this football lark too seriously

TBF, the analogy was clumsy at best, and I'd argue about which of the 4 was the best of a bad bunch, but I wouldn't disagree with his main point.
It's certainly a million times better than Watchgate or Tategate.

I actually bumped into 'the' Shedman a couple of months back, in , of all places , Ashton Gate for a conference thing( my first visit since the revamp) . He doesn't go to games any more. .
