@Harry thread just confirms what a mess the club is in. SL has built the stadium but ultimately allowed Ashton to **** up the team.

Bristol City FC is a poison chalice for any manager currently. Badly run for years. All been said on here many times. As stated in the thread above, Ashton & co emptied the piggy bank. There is nothing left to spend. There are players that need to be sold ASAP but noone wants to buy them. I was slated for saying it after the 1st game but this is a relegation fight all season. Barnsley home game is looking like a key game to me.

The club has been/still is a basket case. All the mistakes made over the last 3 years have come home to roost. NP will need a minor miracle to turn it around. Who is going to buy players Bristol City don’t want? Anything decent has been sold.

Agreed, been saying that all season on here. Survival is key objective as the club has gone backwards hugely.

Good vibe currently at Forest, been improving lately. Been playing some good stuff. Hard game for City IMO. Needs a big improvement from us or another defeat - draw at best on the cards. Like to be proven wrong.

Agreed. And here is the crux of the problem. The shambles of last season will haunt us all for a season or two until the mess is sorted out by Nige. Forget Bournemouth they are light years ahead of us. Barnsley are more our level.

Out thought, out classed, out played - have said it before, but we just need to stay up this season. Teams like Bournemouth are way above this City eleven.

Another great away day that springs to memory was Leyton Orient away in the snow (lots of it) on the choo choo City special back in the 80s. It was the only game on in London and had several different football club fans there to watch the game, Swindon also. The choo choo was a Royal Mail Post train with next to no seats. Freezing cold but great fun back in the day. Think we won if memory serves me right?
