@Harryconfirms what most on here have thought for some time. Recruitment has been a shambles. One of the main reasons why we will probably get relegated this season.
-
Bang on the money. The club has been a shambles for years. NP will need some help from somewhere to sort it. No one can do it on there own.
-
Great diagram explaining @ExiledAjax Agreed, which is what I think will happen as SL appears to have lost interest in the football. We have no chairman actively involved it seems (aka J Lansdown). Only a matter of time.
-
Noone will hear anymore from the Lansdowns until after the sale.

This club has no business in the Championship

There will be loads more games like today. Get used to it. The club is going through a massive change. Relegation may happen (I hope not), but this club will take years to rebuild. Just glad I didn’t take out a season ticket this season. -
Bakinson Contract Renewal - Symptoms of the problem.
Tin Soldier replied to MelksRed's topic in Football Chat
Bakinson in away games just doesn’t make the grade. We need fighters in that midfield. God we miss Korey and others. Said it on here on many occasions, we are a soft touch against physical teams that pressurise. And Bakinson does not like that style of opposition. Obvious to most on here. Maybe on the bench in away games for me. Confident NP will sort it but he has limited resources to work with currently. Look at that midfield today. -

Easy to over react 9n here after another pile of shite display. Think it would be good if NP would step upstairs at end of season and new coach role will be developed for someone new to step in. Quite frankly, we have looked a shambles for some time as a club. Leaves me wondering if SL should sell up TBH. -

Bakinson looks somewhat lost currently. -
OTIB outage: Jesus that was difficult - pay your subs!

A night off for me with no @Hampshire redsblabbing off about NP getting the sack. Quite nice. -
Which City player that you saw had the earliest City debut?
Tin Soldier replied to Eddie Hitler's topic in Football Chat
1977 Kevin Mabbutt, forget who against. Scored 3 goals away against Man U in 1978. Gained national attention as not many had achieved that. -
You obviously know nothing about the mess NP was left to clear up. What a rediculous Post.

Really good watch. Makes you realise how important grass roots football is.
-
would you object to saturday games kicking off at 1pm?
Tin Soldier replied to Never to the dark side's topic in Football Chat
1pm would not work as our Chairman likes to play with his train set in the morning. Ridiculous idea! -
More sugar coated horse shite to follow soon no doubt!
-
Which makes everyone think there is more to it than this interview. Richard Gould was just a holding statement. More to follow soon for sure.

Those were the days, fans right behind the club. Thanks for posting. One of the great things about OTIB is the past memories.

Meanwhile in Bermuda .......

21 pages of rumour discussions. Pretty impressive!

Just imagine if Amazon did a fly on the wall documentary about Bristol City FC over the last 12 months. Titled “Shambles at City”
-
Only at Bristol City. And here we go again ......
-
Followed City since 76 season in to Div 1. Have never felt so disconnected. Reasons? Failure on and off the pitch has worn me down over time I suppose. So many mistakes made (not going to repeat what many have already said, as been well documented). I was always anti this Bristol Sport ideology. It was only setup to protect Lansdown’s investment. Just dilutes the focus around Bristol City FC. Sold to the fans and many have bought in to it. Even after 20 years, we still have no Board, no chairman (Jon Lansdown is not a Chairman). Which means there has never been any internal/external accountability. How can this be right? After another defeat, I have just come round to accepting it nowadays and quite frankly have little urge to get back down AG after Coventry. Have to admit that Coventry game hurt though. Until things change, can’t see me bothering as this bunch of players are just not good enough. Look at what we have sold in recent years. Then look at what we have available for this season. Feels like we have been burgled as football fans. Shambles of a club
-
Think you need to take off those rose tinted glasses and wake up to what is happening at AG. Punters like you are just what Jon and Steve Lansdown rely on. This football club has been on the slide for some time now, has been run with no Board (joke) so no ability to challenge internally and no chairman (Jon Lansdown is not a Chairman). It is a complete and utter shambles. I have made my views clear about Bristol Sport which IMO is just an accountants plan to protect Lansdown's investment. In the meantime, the football club drifts from one mess to another.
-
That is a good point. A lot of clubs with passionate fans would be demonstrating soon. Can’t see it at City somehow. All too cozy and cushty in Bristol. Too many happy clappers/good humans which is what Lansdown wants. Think this season could become pretty toxic if this shite continues so maybe time is fast approaching where City fans will start expressing our discontent more vigorously which would be a good thing IMO. Lansdown and his son have had it far too easy for far too long. How much more shite do we have to put up with. We all heard Lansdown say it “This is my club” blah, blah, blah.

Desire / Determination - Fleming post-match
Tin Soldier replied to Davefevs's topic in Football Chat
Agreed, there is a weak underbelly within this side. No determination, no desire, noone prepared to stand up and be counted. Quite frankly, one of the worst City teams in years. Shockingly awful.
