  1. Happy Sir Colin Daniel Day fellow shitheads.

I’ve had 2 divorces and there are City fans in the Mansfield end singing City songs at us.

Geoff? Can you not be biased to they gert Ted’s just playing commentary of their match instead of us poor poor victims who were safe last week at Wycombe?

Geoff: Try tuning into the right frequency mate.

2014 - It was all ground ground ground and they forgot about the team.

2023 - It’s all ground ground ground and they are forgetting about the team.

You need to get away from those things called facts. They don't work weel with those 40000+ Gasheads that turned up at Wembley...

Or that their club historian tacked an extra 10 years on to how old their club actually is!

Still, exaggerating figures......'It's what they do!'

82ers sh**e forum trying to put a different spin on it, they're turning it all in to negatives, think the Barcelona of Bristol getting a tad twitchy that little old Rovers have exciting things happening

Aww bless. They actually believe that we are twitchy about them 'having discussions' with a developer where they are hoping to eventually come to an agreement where they'll get a free stadium?

I listened to Wally on Wednesday and as soon as Geoff Twozeroman mentioned the new stadium Wally's level of 'er, um' went off the scale. It was blatantly obvious to anyone with half a brain (as Gasheads are generally at Neanderthal level this is a problem) that he was trying his hardest to sound positive but in reality he could not provide anything concrete as the only thing that is concrete are 'discussions'.

Nothing has been agreed and nothing will be agreed. Wally alludes to this by describing the task of finding the Sags a new and free place to squat as an 'impossible task'.

Let's face it, it is an impossible task to get a free squat. Even if the developer agreed (which they won't because they will want to get the best ROI for their investors) then Rovers will have to get agreement for a stadium to be built with sufficient access routes in an area which is looking at clear air zones and has environmental sustainability targets to satisfy. Then you have to factor in the nearby residential areas who will have to put up with increased noise level pollution on matchdays, hearing songs about an old granny and every other song about Bristol City. This would no doubt be met with public objection and could lead to ongoing red tape and legal costs.

Wally had to say something and so what he has basically said is that the people that Rovers have been talking to have paid a sum of money to take a look at the land. As the developer has made a positive step he has been able to piggy back with a positive statement for Rovers, but absolutely nothing has changed for Rovers. They were 'talking' before and they are 'still talking'.

Their intent to swap a tent out with a tin roof at The Mem is a bigger indication (to me) of what is actually happening. When the pie in the sky ground falls though (and it will), they'll be able to say it's ok as at least you've now got a lovely tin roof on the South Stand at the Mem.

Gasheads are being led up the garden path. Their future is bleak...very bleak and Wally doesn't want the Neanderthals to turn during his tenure.

He's simply buying himself more time to stay liked because as we all know....."These things take time" and unfortunately it seems to be taking a considerable amount of time for the penny to drop with some Sags.

Fortunately, us Ted's see it without the tinted specs and delusion.

  4. As much as I like Kalas when he is fit and on form I am deeply concerned by his injuries.

We took a punt with Baker on reduced terms and it failed. I can see the same thing happening with Kalas unfortunately.

I think the reality is that he will go when his contract runs out.

If we are serious about trying to compete we could get 2 or maybe 3 prospects for the wages that he is getting paid and then we have options if any end up on the treatment table.

  5. I've always been a strong advocate for NP.

I'm pleased that those who doubted at times can now see the value and stability that he has brought to the club. What I like above all is that the players know and respect who is running the show and even those who seemed reluctant to buy in at first have come round.

We've gone from a team struggling just to compete in this division to a team which at times can dominate games and we are frustrated when the goals don't come.

We are coming out the other side from a huge disaster which was the LJ/Ashton/Holden (although he never really stood a chance) era.

We have a manager who manages and has stature. He also talks sense and is straight. I'd rather have a manager who calls it as it is rather than a manager who talks in riddles, tries to bamboozle everyone with theoretical gobbledeguk rather than be accountable and honest about simply not having a clue how to manage, and who gets a tomobola out at 65 minutes. Yes, there are times when mistakes have been made but the whole mindset of the club has shifted and we now have a squad that is hungry.

I'd be over the moon if Nige was offered and accepted a contract extension. We need some sort of continuity more than ever at this moment in time.

    Mathematically safe though.

Reading are 11 points adrift with a worse difference, to catch us they now need to win all 4, one of which is v Huddersfield.

If they do then Huddersfield can’t catch us.

This is all I care about at this stage of the season.

We’ve got our financial situation back in check and it looks like we’re going to stay in this division comfortably without a dog fight.

Would have been well happy knowing that at the back end of last season.

Solid foundations to build on next year. A lot to be positive about.

  7. My shout is Notts County. For longevity and sheer history. Even Juventus based their choice of kit on the mighty Notts County.

If you’re talking about clubs in terms of infrastructure then arguably, with a ground capacity of 25,500 at the time it would be Darlington.

It’s a little reminder for clubs who believe that success only comes from building a big stadium then you might want to be careful what you wish for and think again. (Not mentioning any club we might know who have a life long obsession with getting a bigger stadium….ok, **** it, Bristol Rovers).

Here’s a little reminder of what the fruit market might end up being like…..

I actually genuinely worried about that first caller 3-4 minutes in. He sounded like he was going to throw himself off the CSB.

It reminded me of City against Arsenal on the opening day of 1976 in the First Division.

It was the best start that anyone could have ever dreamed of, but then it went downhill after that.

Shame there wasn’t any more callers as good as Mike. I’m sure once the Blackthorn wore off that day he felt a bit of a **** for his legendary ‘Two Divorces, Labour all frew the Fatcher years’ speech.

Never had chance to have a replay of ot yesterday, but I am about a 3rd of the way through it now!

Forgotten about the hidden gems like 'Well, we'll have the best ground in the conference'.

What made me laugh the most was just how pathetic the Sags were on the Radio that day.

Mike 'Two Divorces' right at the end say's 'Take care yeah' to Geoff as if 20p was so physically and emotionally distraught by Rovers getting relegated out of the football league that he might not be able to make it though the show and require years of counseling to just be able to cope with life moving forward.....and yet Geoff didn't even bat an eyelid.

Then there were Sags who acted 'needy' with Geoff and started seeking 'reassurance' that their joke of a club was still worth loving by going on about how different things were when Geoff played for Rovers and he simply dismissed and batted it for 6 by saying that it's not the time to be talking about historical events like 1990 and what type of player he was when he was at Rovers.

Sad, pathetic, needy and absolutely ******* hilarious!

It's probably just me but why oh why do they have to repeat FTG after every Facebook post, text to 20man etc. I just find it weird...like a load of Parrots. Edited cod I originally wrote FTG

Or getting personalised number plates with either that or 'GAS' on it. Like it's something to be 'Prowed' of?!! ?

I don't see City fans doing anything similar to that? They are just ******* weird *****.

I struggle to find any club with fans of the same mentality as Sags. I think that's the only 'unique' thing about Rovers.

It was Mansfield fans singing pro-City songs to wind up the already stressed out Gasheads as the clock ticked down. This was confirmed on their own forum.

Of course idiotic Gasheads can’t grasp the fact that they aren’t as loved and respected by everyone as they think they are.

Even if City fans were in the away end then so what? Rovers fans were happy to boast that they were in with Brum fans at AG the year before when we got relegated.

Gasheads I know are still convinced (and very angry) to this day that there were loads of gurt ted's in the away end that day. Although they can't name a single one.

On the other hand I can name people who were down Ashton Gate when we played Man City, Gasheads who had dragged their kids along to watch The Shit get stuffed. Although dressed in Man City gear they haven't mentioned Man City since that night and there were the usual 'FTG' comments as well as numerous Gasheads pulling themselves off over how many Man City could possibly destroy us by, hoping that it would be a total cricket score.

I bet their poor kids who have had to be forced to follow in Daddy's footsteps wonder what the **** is going on? They're dragged into tents every week to watch utter garbage and then dressed up as Man City fan's with Daddy getting really excited about the other Bristol team get potentially destroyed? They must go home and ask Mummy why Daddy likes to act like a ******* 3 year old?

13 mins gets you to the call with that bloke who was tuned into the city commentary by mistake

He's brilliant. His total paranoid state of mind really comes to the forefront, accusing Radio Bristol about loving Da Shit and not giving a shit about the poor old Sag 'Victims'. ******* hilarious. What a complete tool! I loved the fact that he spoke like a true paranoid Sag ***, before realising that he had just given another gift and looked like a complete bell end like Sags always do.

There was never going to be any City fans in the away end that day, the odds/chances of them going down was utterly ridiculous. They only had to draw the game to be safe never mind worry about the three results going the wrong way.   I actually wonder what the odds were at the time.

I do remember at the time that there were 27 different outcomes and only 3 of them would have resulted in the 'family club' ******* off out of the league to where they belong.

You just know that they thought that City fans would be there because they judge everything by their own standards and they know that if we were in trouble they WOULD go to Ashton Gate to see us go down. That's the kind of manual manipulator that Gasheads are. Unlucky for them we couldn't give a flying **** that day as no-one.....even gurt ted's thought for one second that they were going to **** up royally and become forever a club to be laughed at and the gift that keeps on giving.

I'm sure that if you asked any Wycombe fan what they thought about the bestest fans in da whole world and everyone's favourite 2nd club then their reply would be 'Nah, they're just a bunch of ******* who destroyed our ground for no reason and ended up getting relegated anyway'

Talking of old slapper, if this one doesn't convince you to buy a season ticket I'm not sure anyone will...

So they do an ‘All Out’ marketing campaign in order to shift 33 season tickets?! **** me! That takes begging and desperation to a totally different stratosphere!!!!

Thanks anyway Sags for providing me with the opportunity to completely bastardise another one of your pathetic video horror shows.

  13. When a side is packing out their defence you don’t try to tippy tappy it probing for gaps you get round the back.

Too much possession and probing and not enough conviction.

Got to get quicker with the build up play.

Stretch them, use the wide men and get the defenders facing the wrong way.

    Frustrating watch so far.

  14. I would be inclined to bring on Weimann to go up top as opposed to out wide.

I know that he has been short of game time recently, but he hit the net 22 times last season and right now we need to find goals from open play.

We are missing players now through injury unfortunately and the new boys still need to find their feet and gel with the rest of the team.

I thought that Pring had an excellent game last night filling in the central defensive role and he still managed to bring the ball out well too.

We look safe now and the play offs were only ever a slight possibility, but with our latest injury woes it's more about players getting some game time experience.

We're just missing that clinical edge right now which I think Weimann would be able to fill if he was more central.

  15. I'm not a plastic supporter of any other club.

I support my own and that's it.

Means absolutely nothing to me if either club wins anything.

However, as a neutral I enjoyed the match.

Hopefully Liverpool will get battered 7-0 next week just so I don't have to see all of the plastic fans spouting irrelevant drivel all over their social media feeds. Like it ACTUALLY means anything to them.

**** off plastic supporters. There is only one club to give a shit about. Your own!
