I do and it hasn't happened up until the Coventry match- I think that was the first time. Even Fevs agreed it was mildly amusing when there were calls on here to sing his name throughout an entire match just before his dismissal. Throughout his tenure- on the pitch there wasn't an awful lot to sing about. I remember you getting some grief when you voiced your displeasure at how the team played. What Nigel and others did was great but it was mainly the stuff behind the scenes which just didnt always translate to wins or attractive football. Like today.

I'm sure I saw Steve singing "Jon Lansdown out" and at one point he definitely was singing "I don't know what I'm doing".

Completely agree that there's more to this saga than simply poor results. I stated it several times much to the chagrin of many. I completely believe that the health issues have played their part. What I hadn't really considered is that NP , knowing that his contract was unlikely to be renewed, could possibly have played his part. It is indeed a possible scenario as why would Nige want to aggravate his ongoing health issues and possibly even worsen them for the benefit of others who had most likely already made a decision on his future. Perhaps we'll find out in the fullness of time.

Probably. Football support is so full of irony and comedy that I can't help but think that "Mark Ashton's Ipswich" would be the cherry on the 'football is ridiculous" cake. I used to have chats with him at David Lloyd and really liked him although he always seemed slightly nervous. I've DM'd him. I think he's fine and isn't on some weird fantasy- so many people have fragility but that does not mean they have mental health issues omo. John Eustace was already appointed according to others.... we had 17 pages discussing it. In the meantime- I'm ready for some serious chat (nothing good on TV) 1)I think LJ was an ok Manager 2)Mark Ashton is a shrewd operator and is why Ipswich are getting to the Premiership 3)Steve Lansdown is the best owner in BCFC history. Maybe. If someone is struggling then no need to let them know in this way. However have you checked out @robinforlife2 's other posts? Take a look. Do you think it is ok to suggest he has mental health issues? Mate.

Yep- it has been talked about by Steve and even Nige. The fact is that pretty much EVERY EFL club is not sustainable without covering losses. As for NP & Gould (and others... whoever the others are?) moving us to a more sustainable status is not irony> It was what they were tasked as doing- it was part of the job description although with Gould - it was the job description and he did a great job. Nige played his part by shaking out the higher paid players and forming a team who fought for each other and didnt give up. IMO they sacked him too soon BUT I remain convinced it was not about results.

Ok- so even with the transfer income ( which 100% guaranteed will be used to pay up for Nigel, pay up a new coach and crack open some of the so-called nest egg) will BCFC even come close to break even? One swallow does not a summer make. You have been extremely analytical regarding profit/loss/sustainability sometimes to the same extent as DaveFevs in his analysis of players/formations. I'd bet my shirt on the fact that BCFC will not break even now with SL or in the future with another owner unless promotion happens. For BCFC to be promoted requires a huge slice of luck or cash- both of which appear unlikely albeit that the former is more likely than the latter.

Is he running us on a break even basis? The accounts suggest otherwise as do the accounts of the majority of EFL clubs.
