  1. If someone told me we were going to score two goals away at Fulham then I'd have been very surprised indeed and shocked with both from Semenyo. If they also told me that Fulham would score 5 after scoring 7 at Reading then I wouldn't be. The second half is a terrifying 45 minutes - I just dont want a humiliation of a result.
  2. We were always highly unlikely to win. Fulham will be top tonight maintaining ( and sadly increasing) their stunning goal difference. If the only thing that comes out of today is that Semenyo looks exactly the player many of us hoped he was then that's still a positive day and fantastic when we dont have to play a Premiership team in waiting.
  3. AMAZING we have a player who has gone from : Semeyno goals to Someny goals
  4. Thoroughly inconvenient. The EFL should abandon the game and award the points based on the previous 5 matches at Craven Cottage with BCFC
  5. Initials are GJ- I'm not saying any more than that.
  6. This is a game where the most logical and likely result will not be positive for us. We've been making good steady progress with our performances of late and so as long as we perform then I'm really not going to be upset by a team peppered with Premiership players who are highly likely to go up automatically. However, a win or a draw would be a champagne moment for us all tonight with the odd cidered up poster talking about play offs. COYR and here's hoping that our travelling fans have a great day out and watch a great game of football at my second favourite ground.
  7. I've had the same wallet for about 20 years. Is there any chance that I could apply to BCFC to see if Mark Ashton's is available as all the one's in the club shop are empty which is the same as mine.
  8. What Buster Footman could do with a magic sponge is the stuff of legends. And he could outrun Junior Bent from the bench to treat an injured player.
  9. Well said- I've maintained that our team is not a "shower of shite" etc, etc. We have some talented players perfectly capable of keeping us in this division.... although promotion seems further off than virtually at any point since our first season in the Championship with SC. NP may get a free pass on OTIB in general but definitely not in a wider context. However- any manager is going to make some mistakes and odd selections but the point is that the PERFORMANCES are going in the right direction even if the results are still a bit iffy.
  10. So... I started a thread over a month ago - 'Pearson & Fleming out'- it was my opinion after what I consider to be some of the worst ongoing results and performances in my time as a proper supporter ( i.e. I actually go to the matches as opposed to sitting on my sofa judging my club based on social media/radio commentary / dodgy live stream) I completely agree with you about abuse- abuse of daring to think Lee was a decent manager and abuse that NP has been poor. You have an opinion which is as valid as anyone else's. The key thing is that stuff changes and it's really important to be prepared to change your opinion if the situation changes. Dont get bogged down in a polarised opinion like the idiots did about Lee and his height. The current performances of late have been what has been missing since Nige joined us and are steadily going in the right direction- I'm still on the fence as to his long term benefit to our club and he does seem to have a vicious and almost vindictive attitude towards certain players. However, he also seems to talk more sense than any Manager since.... probably Jordan and Ward. Just give credit where credit is due- if we play well yet lose by the odd goal then that's football for you. If the team fail to turn up then you have to ask questions , not of MA/LJ/SL but of the Manager but right now NP is , imo, worthy of continuing in his job and my own opinion is changing.
  11. Considering where Coventry have been and the journey they've had and where they are now- I'd never take the shirt off. Good on her and hopefully she enjoyed our fantastic win.
  12. Just my opinion but I think that's a season changing result. A very big win indeed.
  13. Speculation.... I would imagine NP being very very firm on Covid protocols at the club and possibly these were broken in some way
  14. And isn't it great that Lee is starting 2022 top of the league after a 5-0 v Sheffield Wednesday?
  15. So when we finally won at home v Barnsley, I came out of the ground celebrating like we'd won the Cup. By the time I got to the car, I just thought we were just incredibly lucky. Tonight , the team played like they meant it and that's something new. Bad result (again) but serious reason for optimism. Cardiff 0-3 helps as well.
  16. Errrrr..... please check the stats. 1 more goal attempt and one more on target. We were unlucky because we should have had a penalty . We were unlucky because we actually played a pretty good game. Most of all we were unlucky because Nige played King who thought he was playing for the Tigers or the Bears.
  17. Well done City- up for it and everything I wanted to see, almost what I hoped for. Also, clear Pen for us imo. Just keep it the same in second half and" it's a good night for us.... and a good night from Pearson". It's not about the score alone, it's about how committed the players are.
  18. I just dont feel the team line up is that bad- if they're up for it then they can win this but I do understand why people are mystified. Again.
  19. It's a long way from France and surely M. Macron will present all sorts of hurdles for you to nip over to BS3 and back again. Surely you just tune in as usual but put your tv on pause and watch after your soiree. Bon apetit.
