  1. Yep - but remember that anti russian statements in the wrong place is a bit like oral sex- one slip of the tongue and you're in the sh*t
  2. Personally I'm burning all my Russian literature especially 'The Russian Baby's Revolt' by Nora Titsov
  3. You are straying into foreign lands which is the sovereign territory of @Rudolf Hucker. Leave now before you're "in too deep".
  4. Or could it be that 77% are 'the others' and voting for Agent Pearson and 23% are City fans? Or just possibly Russian trolls. Trouble with samples is that I always overfill the bottle.
  5. The utter joy of Leeds being relegated will be spoilt by them thrashing us next season as they do. The only benefit is the usual Leeds fan celebrating in the Dolman and getting kicked from Row Z back down to Row A.
  6. OK- That makes more sense although how anyone could blame DB for yesterday is beyond me. I think he is a really good goalkeeper and ,imo, superior to Max. What happened between him and Nige is unknown but I'm glad that Dan who is club captain and last seasons player of the year (from memory?) is back. No goal keeper can single handedly prevent goals if your defence is all over the place but DB did make the difference between 2-0 and 4or 5-0
  7. I dont really get this thread. So- if it was two deflections , does this change the score line or performance?
  8. Can we afford your wages? If so, you'll fit in fine.
  9. Played them off the park just really unlucky- crap ref and parachute payments
  10. haha- i got it but clearly was alone unless i was just alone in thinking it was funny
  11. Pray tell? Where are your figures? 750,000,000 profit for SL You stated it now back it up.
  12. What a nonsense pointless reply. You said part of the problem at BCFC was the fans themselves- I completely disagreed. I didn't even mention Lansdown or the facilities or ego's and definitely not players so you deflected from what is the very simple point you make: "The fans are part of the problem unlike other fan bases". You are wrong so take it back.
  13. Clearly- you haven't found it easy to move on from that age:- Lordy ,lordy- well done! Just as I thought there couldn't possibly be anyone else left to blame - it's now partly our fault as fans and we're not as good as other fans. Well, I'm pretty sure you've summed up your own association with BCFC but you definitely don't speak for me and about 12,000 -15,000 current fans who go week in /week out and the countless ones before us -sadly no longer about. What do you think we should have done all these years? Boycott the club all our lives or stage a protest every season?
  14. If the squad don't already know what Nige's expectations are after 12 months then they are beyond help! In any event NP could have easily told them his thoughts on Bakinson at a team meeting. If NP is to stay at BCFC but wants to move on 5 or 6 or 7 players then he really needs to strike a balance between telling the world they are "not good enough/cop outs" whilst making sure that someone will take them on at another club. Players are hardly likely to want to leave for a reduced wage whilst the club really does need some transfer income- it's not solely about reducing the wage bill . Our club is not in a position to subsidise new contracts at other clubs so presenting players as not worthy is not helpful- however true that may or may not be.
  15. I agree on this, Dave. My point was and still remains that there has been a shift in what has become "fair game". My opinion remains that neither Nige nor Jon should have said what they said without providing a degree of context without which it is guaranteed to have stoked debate in the media and amongst fans- the wrong sort of debate. However in regard to NP who has clearly done some good and also accepted a poison chalice, I think that he may be making a thumping great rod for his own back. I find it irksome that he is so abrasive towards certain players and the Bakinson debacle was breathtaking in its delivery. Irrespective of what the player said/did/deserved- NP should have just kept it professional and spun the departure- after all, he's a player that he'll want to sell and publicly shaming him ( however completely justified) was a big error of judgement, imo. Every penny is going to count come the summer. I dont think it would be unreasonable for Jon to make a comment sometime soon which diffuses any perceived possible spat and allows everyone ( including the players who will not be oblivious to this issue) to focus on what the real issue is: improvement and being mathematically safe.
  16. Me too - I'll even "bear my arse in Burton's shop window". ( GJ on Fontaine scoring a goal)
  17. I think he was talking about the opposition who all looked like world beaters- he even wrote a song about it but it never caught on....
  18. the two go hand in hand in virtually every case- if you could point to any Manager in ,say 25 years, at BCFC that has left the Club due to frustration with the board as opposed to being sacked for poor ongoing results?
  19. Maybe but they were indeed sacked. It would be a rare event when a highly paid senior employee gets dismissed and doesn't feel some form of frustration towards their former employees.
  20. Blimey - my memory must be going. I was certain they all left after getting the sack
